“Amazing Studio tucked away!”
Judy and Hugh were both very efficient and a lovely couple to deal with. They made everything very easy and were so nice even making us such a wondrful hamper for our arrival. The Studio is really a hidden gem tucked away on a quite street behind an amazing wooden door. The location is superb within easy walking distance of many amenities including Freo centre and the beach. The property is so individual which we loved especialy the outdoor bath and the tranquil courtard. Highly recommended.
“A private slice of paradise with an artistic eccentricity”
I have always found that with the website presentation, the real thing has been a slight anti climax. But with Silver Street Studio it was much more than could be described and Judy had created a great website. I have to admit that I am a TV addict ,but for the first time ever (and I have stayed in various accommodation domestic and overseas)it stayed off as it just seemed out of place in this unique space , the books ,the music the private garden, the quirky little spaces where you could hide away and relax. Location is excellent, so close to fantastic Cafe's and restaurant's , about 1k to Freo central. Leaving was hard , it felt like home. Well done Judy(a great host, sensitive to your needs)
we had a short stay planned in Fremantle and were looking forward to the studio. What a fabulous find - the whole arrangement really worked. We had a great rest, poked around the very generous libary on hand, and enjoyed a bit of cooking etc. The location is also terrific - we could walk to South Fremantle Beach and lots of trendy food/eatery locations a block away. ps - the best part were our hosts, what a nice couple and I almost felt like we were family but without any impost. highly recommended!we will return Cath
“Rustic relaxation - recommended”
Spent a few days at Silver Street Studio It is cosy, atmospheric and totally relaxing We had a great welcome, both personal and by way of the generous breakfast hamper. The outdoor plumbed bath was a real treat Great kitchen for those who love to cook Place filled with interesting and helpful items No more rambling from me . . . Just go there and enjoy the peace and space. Thanks to Judy and everyone who helped make it special.
Our stay in Silver Street Studio was wonderful! This place is a treasure. It's loaded with character, history, and charm, is very light and open, yet private - perfect for a romantic getaway. I handled the bookings over the phone from the states and Judy was delightful. It's tucked in a quiet hideaway that's conveniently close to downtown Freo. The toilet is detached and this fits with the character of the place. The outdoor bath on an upstairs veranda is a nice touch. All the amenities were great, including a big comfy bed. Navigating the stairs to the upstairs bedroom/office/bath and detached toilet could be a challenge for someone with limited mobility, but for us Sliver Street Studio was perfect.
“Hustle and bustle hideaway”
We stayed in this awesome little hideaway for 3 nights and immediately wished we had stayed a week or longer. We needed to unplug from our busy work life and this was an amazing place to settle for a few days. You can imagine the space from the descriptions from the owners but trust me it is a 'must visit' place where you can soak away from reality in the outdoor bath and cruise into the freo vibe!!
“A relaxing stay in a unique property comfortably furnished and v”
Entering through the "Hobbit" door was the introduction to the Studio constructed with so much recycled wood and other materials. You will fall in love with the building and enjoy discovering its surprises - an outside bath on a secluded patio! The Studio has all the facilities you will need. Very conveniently located and within a few minutes walk of Fremantle's free bus service that means the beach and centre are within a 10 minute journey. You must come and stay here!
Try to endeavor to stay at least a week for the magic to infiltrate.
“A hidden treasure”
This is a hidden treasure nestled away just off the bustling South Terrace with a great coffee shop that serves amazing breakfasts. Local shops are not too far away either making this a great place to come and stay in Fremantle. You enter the studio through a small door which takes you into a beautiful courtyard with big windows that look into the lounge. The photos on the website show clearly what the property offers with interesting and different collections of furniture and antiques. There is a shower area in the room upstairs with a lovely basin. Outside towards to the back of the property there is a very clean outdoor toilet which comes in handy when you're dining al fresco! A studio is by definition one room but this one room is broken into a mezzanine level that leads off to an area upstairs with a double bed and a room that can sleep one person. There is such charm to this place - it made a lovely stay!
“Wonderfully comfortable haven with unique and intersting artefac”
We stayed in this wonderful studio with its light and airy aspect for nearly three weeks. it was the highlight of our stay, being so close to Fremantle and yet having complete privacy in a tucked away corner, five minutes from the beach and with a fantastic courtyard for barbecues and entertaining. The studio has been furnished with many of the owner's collections from their travels, which includes beautiful kilims and antique furntiture froma variety of locatioms around the world. There is a great selection of books and interesting art works along with all the modern conveniences of a well equipped kitchen with dishwasher and a range of other appliances. The owners could not have been more helpful, giving us information about places to go and advice about travelling in the region. I could not rate this studio more highly and would recommend it to anyone looking for an interesting and enjoyable stay.
