“Superb Venetian Experience”

Reviewed 10 May 2015

My family and I stayed in this amazing house for 3 nights over Easter. We arrived by taxi boat which stopped in San Campo square just 1 minute walk from the house. The house was in a very quiet location with wonderful high ceilings and Italian decor. The children's bedroom had two little balconies looking straight on to the canal. The kitchen window opened out on to the same canal so we could watch the boats and gondolas passing by. The location was perfect - just far enough away to easily escape from the crowds around St Marks Square. My only wish is that we'd stayed longer in Venice so we could have spent more time in the house! It truly was a wonderful Venetian experience and we hope to stay there on our next visit to Venice.

“Highly recommend staying here!”

Wow....what a wonderful surprise this property was. Absolutely perfect. Great location within easy walking to all major sites however removed enough to avoid crowds. We felt like locals. Home slept the 7 of us easily and was much more spacious and economical than a hotel. Aline was a complete pleasure to work with. She responded to all emails rapidly and was accessible to us through out our stay. I would highly recommend staying here.

“The real Venice”

Reviewed 21 Dec 2013

Beautiful apartment, spacious, clean and comfortable. Next to a minor canal where we could watch the passing boats from the kitchen and bedroom windows. Balcony for sitting out as we had some lovely weather while there. Loved Venice lots to see and do. Easy to get around on foot. Our mum of 82 managed the boats and the steps and all the bridges easily. The locals are generally very rude and dont like tourists and this is very obvious, despite this we still had a fantastic time in venice. My sister and I even managed a couple of late evening runs through the streets as we were in training, it is a very safe place to be. Aline was amazing as our host and I cannot recommend her enough. Nothing was too much trouble. Local restaurants were good, excellent standard of food generally when eating out.

“wonderful place in the heart of venice”

Reviewed 26 Nov 2013

this is a beautiful apartment, perfectly located not far from strada nova and rialto but still in a quiet corner of venice. the pictures on flipkey can't give you a real impression of the place - the rooms and views are even better. a great place to stay with a big group - and aline will give you a warm welcome.

“What a great Find!”

Reviewed 21 Jun 2013

If there is a critique I would give aline (the owner), it is that the pictures on the website truly do not do justice to the place! :) It is incredible! My family and I have rented vacation homes in London, Edinburgh, the Swiss alps, etc and this place is truly unique. Location - very convenient to stores (the coop is only less than 5 minutes away), restaurants, everything but it is far enough from the crazy crowds of San Marco so you do get some quiet. When you open the window from the kitchen and some bedrooms, you are rewarded with a canal view. What a sight! Amenities - I wanted an updated kitchen and bathrooms and the place truly has both covered. There are 3 bathrooms, all modernized for your convenience. There is even a combined washer & dryer (an impt consideration for us as we had our children with us). There are enough rooms (4 bedrooms plus the study can accomodate some folks, I think) but we only used the 3 main bedrooms. The main bedroom is huge! With ceilings that go on forever (20 feet?)! I must also mention that aline is a kind, considerate host who met us in the vaporetto stop when we arrived to bring us to the apt and she also ordered our private water taxi to bring us to the airport. Thank you! Highly, highly recommended!

“Beautiful apartment.”

Reviewed 18 Jun 2013

Six of us stayed in this apartment for three nights last week. What a privilege to stay in this beautiful old home. Very spacious. Everything you could need. Within walking distance of everything but in a very quiet location. Aline was such a pleasure to deal with. It made our stay in Venice perfect. Only problem it was too short.

“perfect venetian elegance”

Reviewed 30 May 2013

We stayed in apartment for 3 nights and as previously mentioned the pictures do not do it justice. 2 downstairs bedrooms are massive, one looks out to the canal, with small balconies. Both beds huge and comfy. 2 new bathrooms with separate showers (although one shower is in the alcove of the hallway which initially we thought strange but both doors close either side of it and it was just a funny quirk of the place then) one has a bath. There were 6 of us staying, upstairs in the attic was another bedroom with bathroom. Good space but very dark and low ceilings especially in the bathroom where we had to kneel in the bath to use the shower and the door was only about 4 feet high. That said it did not detract from our stay. There were plenty of towels, extra blankets, tea towels, cleaning stuff including dishwasher tablets, washing machine and detergent, lots of toilet rolls, when staying for a short time it is a nuisance to have to shop for every single item but this was not the case. Venice is quite expensive, we ate in twice and there are 2 supermarkets near, we used the shopping trolley to bring stuff back. Lots of great restaurants nearby, bakery just up the street (bit rude tho) Went to Rialto Market for fantastic fish and fruit and veg. The apartment has a lovely terrace that is in the sun in the morning. All in all we felt we experienced real Venice. Huge thanks to aline who was our friend while we were there

“A wonderful place to stay”

Reviewed 22 May 2013

Our party of 6 adults and 2 children stayed here for almost a week in april for a family celebration. The apartment is very spacious, beautifully decorated and furnished and very well equipped. The owner aline has thought of everything! Both before and during our stay aline was most helpful and friendly.Walking in Venice is a pleasure and we enjoyed our daily sorties, not only to the sights but also in the quiet non-touristy areas near the apartment. We know Venice well and have stayed in other lovely apartments but this one would be difficult to beat. We had a wonderful time.

“Totally wonderful experience”

Reviewed 19 Jan 2013

Our family of 6 adults and 2 children stayed in this wonderful accommodation in the fall of 2012. We can recommend this to anyone as it suited our needs in every regard. The location was excellent. It was clean and very comfortable. Eating in was wonderful too. We felt very lucky to have found it and will stay there again if we can return.

“A fairytale come true!”

Reviewed 16 Jan 2013

When our family arrived at this wonderful apartment, we were only booked for 2 nights, and we soon realised that we just had to stay longer - as it offered such a wonderful experience of life in Venice... so we did! With all it's history, and the beautiful Venetian oil paintings on the doors and the ceilings, the gorgeous furniture, and spacious, comfortable living arrangements - we soaked it up. We'd walk to the market, and come back to prepare lunch - all the fresh produce, I have vivid memories of all the flavours. Then a rest, before shopping in the evening, walking the labyrinth of the most amazing shop window displays. Staying here was a dream come true! Thank you aline, it was lovely to meet you, you made us feel very welcome.
