Perched on a ridge with sunrise and sunset views, this vintagel farmhouse is exquisitely sited on 740 feet of high bank waterfront on 25 acres overlooking Useless Bay and the Olympic Mountains to the west, and the Maxwelton Valley to the east. It perches like the eagles nest beside it, taking in magnificent views of the sun rising over the steaming pasture and wetlands, alpacas grazing just outside the windows and velvet sunsets over the mountains and sound.
Leave the cares of the world as you ascend the driveway to the little red farmhouse. It's the simplicity of the place with the wonders of nature on every side that takes you back to the joy of discovery. Just one and one-half hours from Seattle and you"re in a different world. After a night or more in this heaven, you'll leave with a sense of well-being, and a renewed spring in your step.
The two story, 2,730 sf farmhouse sleeps 11 plus with 3 queen beds, and 3 single beds on the second floor with the two bathrooms- one with a large soaking tub. The main floor bedroom has a queen bed and is located next to the main bathroom with a standard tub and shower. There is a comfortable couch in the living room and two single size sleeping mats which work well for children.
The kitchen is well equipped with a two oven electric range, a microwave and full size refrigerator. Good selection of dishes, and cooking equipment including a great library of cookbooks. The living room looks to views both east and west. There is a piano and great collection of books and games to entertain as you cuddle under an alpaca blanket in front of the fire place.
The house is surrounded by a cottage garden with roses, herbs and cutting flowers. There are large expanses of grass and native plantings. The site has wonderful privacy as the nearest house is over 300 feet away to the north and south. On the east there is an expansive view over the Maxwelton Valley amd the west is open to a huge view over Useless Bay and the mountains, At low tide there are miles of beach for walking. Extrodinary bird watching as the beach and wetland pasture attract a rich variety of local and migrating birds. There are never ending opportunities for observing the wonders of nature.
There is a herd of 18 alpacas and a guard llama. The alpaca pasture is just outside the living room window so you can easily watch these amazing animals. You can arrange to join the farm manager for morning feeding and learn about the wonders of alpacas.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your booking page. To change your dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Carolyn (the owner) a message.
If Carolyn (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
