Located above the waterfront of the beautiful Port Hills of Nelson, the West Wing at VILLA 10 is a large private apartment within a grand old colonial home. It is nestled into the hillside above the sea with spectacular views across Tasman Bay to the mountains of Kahurangi National Park. VILLA10 has been architecturally redesigned by the hosts, who live in a private adjourning apartment.The Loft apartment is upstairs.The West Wing is luxury accommodation with rare charm, suitable for both couples and families.
The West Wing retains the old world charm of 1908, with spacious living and dining rooms and a log fire. It opens onto the original wide veranda with an ancient wisteria framing the spectacular view.
There are two bedrooms, one with queen and one with twin beds. Additionally, there is a sofabed in the living room. The bathroom has a shower and the original old claw foot bath tub. There is a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and laundry, sky TV, DVD and free WIFI. The apartment is designed with Jenny's hand-painted textiles, and decorated with original paintings by local artists.

Minimum stay 2 nights.

If the West Wing is booked for specific dates, please inquire about THE LOFT at VILLA 10 (this apartment holds up to 3 people). For a larger group, both The Loft and The West Wing can be booked together if available. Please contact us for any questions as we offer special rates for longer stays and the winter season.

Your hosts, Graham and Jenny are long time Nelsonians. Jenny has lived in this grand old family home for over 40 years. She and Graham did all the refurbishing and have established a well-treed garden. Graham has been a mountain guide and is a keen cyclist. He is a great resource for hiking trails and cycle ways in the greater region. Jenny can help with information about artists and galleries to visit.
