I came and stayed in Mohammed's lovely villa with 20 school friends at the beginning of September. There were too many of us so a couple of people had to squeeze in beds. Mohammed was very lenient with this and did not mind that we were above the maximum capacity. We all had the funnest holiday together. We were looked after extremely well right from the beginning, we were picked up from the airport. There is a security man at night and Jamila a cook/cleaner during the day, the house is always spotless. Jamila can also cook delicious Moroccan food for you. One night she cooked us a traditional lemon and olive tagine. The villa is an extremely short taxi drive away from the old medina or it takes 15 mins to walk. We went in constantly to eat out or go to the night market. We also went to the nearby waterpark which Majid helped us organise. Overall I couldn't recommend enough staying here. It is extremely good value for money and lots of fun
“Brilliant stay, great Riad and fantastic service"”
We booked this Riad for a hen do (12 girls) and it was absolutely amazing. The Riad itself is beautifully decorated, clean and spacious. Each room is lovely, most with en-suits, and with full air-con (needed in august!). Good location although would recommend a taxi if you are going mid summer (heat makes it a little uncomfortable to walk into Marrakech - although only 20 minutes away). The pool and garden is beautiful and plenty big enough for 12, lots of fun was had around the pool/garden. We paid for a BBQ in the Riad on the first night and the food was delicious. The best thing about this hotel was the service, Mo is amazing and so helpful. Breakfast was good and fully prepared (and cleaned away). The house keeper was so helpful and even tidied up after us (not sure that was included but she was lovely). A security guard lives just outside and will run to the local shop on his moped to buy water or cigarettes if you run out! Mo put us in touch with a driver who was excellent, we just text him and he would come and pick us up and take us wherever we wanted to go, he even gave us recommendations on good bars/clubs. I can't recommend this Riad enough, we had a fantastic time and thanks to the help of the staff we made the most of a very alien country and felt safe and at ease the whole time. Book if you want a hassle free relaxing holiday!
“Stunning and Relaxing !!!”
We were collected from the airport on a free transfer and taken directly to the Gramta House, here we received a warm welcome from Muhammed and lila. Muhammed showed us to our room, we were staying in the balcony room, it was lovely, ornate with comfortable beds, plenty of room and had a great view. The next morning Muhammed came to meet us (even though it was his day off) to show us the way to the main square, and gave us tips on location, local traditions etc. He showed us were the best exchange bank was located for the best exchange rates (very helpful), and we took notes of local landmarks on the way to find our way back to the Gramta House, however muhammed gave us his telephone number and said to call anytime. He had given us a map on arrival at Gramta house but us being 3 woman who are typical in reading maps he just laughed and offered to help, which proved invaluable. Throughout our stay of 2 weeks all the staff were 1st class and although they spoke little English we could always make ourselves understood. In fact by the end of our stay it felt like Gramta house was our home. Muhammed organized a fantastic meal for us at gramta house as it was our friends 21st birthday he even provided a cake, he organized a trip for us going on the Marrakesh express to Tangier and anything else we requested. The location of Gramta house is excellent, and really easy to find even for us! It really is a 10 minute walk unless you get talking to many of the locals who looked out for us after getting to know us for a few days (although we never encountered any problems it made us feel extra safe). I would recommend that you stay at Gramta House without hesitation and we are looking forward to our return visit.
“Perfect Getaway !!!”
We stayed at Gramta House for our holiday, and just loved the Villa. It´s located at the entrance of Marrakesh close to the main road, the beach and city center were everything is found but secluded enough so you don´t have traffic or noises when in the terrace. The house is beutifully decorated, the kitchen has everything you might need and everything is clean and new, and the bedrooms have all the space you need in your holidays. Seven bedrooms accomodated us nicely, the house is very very comfortable, and the terrace is just great! We did not get to use the beutiful swimming pool because of the weather but it was nice just to see it. Easy to get to, and he housekeeper was very nice and make everything easy for us. I really recommend this Villa for families or group of friends
We highly recommend Gramta House. We had an exceptionally lovely time in Marrakech. We will be back. The Villa was spotless, modern, beautifully taken care of and what really appealed to us is we had so many conveniences. The town of Marrakech is a little gem of a town and we loved being close to plenty of shops and restaurants. I have to add that it was so great to find that what we bought in to with Gramta House was exactly what we got and exactly as described and exactly like the photos. We were so happy with everything. Not one things disappointed us, well maybe the weather could of been a bit nicer but it was still not too bad. But all in all we just loved, I have sent your link to some friends and even a friend on facebook from USa wanted to know where we stayed as the photos were so nice ..I will promote Gramta. House to all I know. We met couple out one night who owned a villa and they since emailed the link to see if we were interested in renting for next year but it was not half as nice as Gramta House. I cannot recommend Gramta House highly enough. It\'s been a pleasure doing business with you. Kindest regards armani (P.S. We hope to be back again next year !!!) Tips: Highly recommended by four happy holiday makers. Gramta House is a little gem...a truly fabulous experience. The villa is private, spotless, looked after so well. The pool is so well maintained, the entire property is just so nice. You could not do better than this getaway. I just want to go back again and again. You wont be disappointed.
“Do not book Gramta house”
If you are thinking of booking Gramta house, please be aware that the place is a sh.T hole. i have never come across a more dirty Wornout smelly villa that has the potential to electrocute anyperson staying there. If you require any photos of the horrible conditions of the place then please do not hesitate to contact me.
““A magnificent villa with superb facilities””
There are people you meet in life that go that extra mile and make that special effort to make sure you have the most perfect of times when you are on holiday. The owners of Villa Gramta House, Mohammed & Laila (plus their helpers and contacts) are such people and I am delighted that my wife and I entrusted the organisation/arrangements of our wedding blessing to them. First of all I have to say the the villa itself more than met our expectations. In fact I would go further to say that you have to visit the villa and experience what it has to offer to fully understand what I'm saying. Photographs online or in brochures don't do the place justice. From both an accommodation and leisure perspective it has all you need. Spacious bedrooms, good bathrooms, well equipped kitchens. Outside there is a Large swimming pool, master bedroom has a jacuzzi, and in one of the lounges there is a full size pool table. Plus the benefit of sufficient space for 20 adults to lounge/sunbathe with shaded areas for all.
Perfect Place We stayed there for a week - 5 adults and 3 children (2, 4 & 5). The villa is wonderful and makes you feel like you are living the lifestyle of the rich and famous! The Villa is beautiful and extremely clean and well furnished. The bedrooms are sumptuous and comfortable,(all with airconditioning) and have a tv/dvd player (with dvds!) The gardens and pool are well kept and clean and very secluded. We were wonderfully looked after by alall and his wife who provided us with a lovely Hot cooked breakfast every morning and a fantastic evening meal which rivalled any we had at a restaurant. The Villa is in the center of Marrakesh, and we were walking distance from the Medina which is the old town and also the new town with many cafes and restaurants and shops. Everyone we met was very welcoming and respectful and we felt safe at all times when walking around the city. We went on a couple of trips to a meal and outside show with traditional dancing which we really enjoyed. We also went up into the mountains and wlaked up into the waterfalls. This was beautiful although not or the faint hearted as it is quite a climb but well worth it. We will definitely be going back to Morocco as we had a fantastic time and would highly recommend the villa to my friends and family. Sarah Smith
