“Charming home.”

Reviewed 24 Aug 2016

I made a last minute attempt to find a place to stay in Asheville for the weekend and came across this home. I have never stayed in a Flipkey residence before. This house was as described. The owner was so quick to respond and super efficient. I would highly recommend this enchanting house in a great location when visiting Asheville, NC.

“Great location, great home, great owner!!”

This beautiful home is appropriately named!! Charming structure, interesting & comfortable decor, gorgeous flower garden and more!! Loved sitting on the front porch & people/nature watching. House is within walking distance to downtown but we drove mostly or took a $5.00 Uber ride which was readily available when needed. Kelly was super responsive and very easy to deal with when booking and once we arrived. I could definitely see visiting for a longer stay!!! (we were 2 couples for a long weekend).

“In the Heart of asheville”

Reviewed 24 Apr 2014

We certainly enjoyed our stay at this property. The location is ideal for experiencing all that asheville has to offer. Only a 5 minute walk to Green Life Grocery and about a 10 minute walk to Downtown. This made our stay very convenient. We found the home to be very comfortable and enjoyable both inside and outside - clean, well-kept, and up-lifting. The back deck is great for sunset views, and the neighborhood is a friendly and charming place. We would recommend this property to folks we know.

“A peaceful beautiful haven”

Reviewed 21 Aug 2013

The owners summary of the cottage and the pictures we saw on the web did not really do enough justice to this wondeful home. From our arrival and pulling up to see the gorgeous verandah awaiting us to taking in the sights within the house and gardens. It was all great. The walk into town was very easy aswell and we enjoyed exploring the surrounding area. I would love to go back again someday.

“Perfect House in the Perfect Location”

Reviewed 9 Jun 2013

We came to asheville for hiking but wanted to be close to town also so we could walk in at night for the restaurants and nightlife. This home was perfect. No more than a 15 minute walk and you are in the heart of downtown asheville. There is also a Whole Foods type grocery just around the corner and 2 great places for coffee and breakfast down the street. The home is decorated beautifully and had everything we needed to cook, or wash our clothes, plus a great front porch and back deck to hang out or have breakfast. The neighborhood was quiet and safe and the neighbors friendly. We quickly settled into the rhythm of life there and felt like we were staying in our own home. The owner left some very helpful and accurate suggestions regarding local restaurants and attractions. One minor housekeeping issue arose but the owner addressed it immediately and it caused no problems or delays to a great week that we spent there. Highly recommended!

“An Enchanted Weekend”

Reviewed 6 Jun 2013

From the beginning, this was a great weekend! The owner was extremely accommodating, even before our arrival and offered clever interactive maps showing nearby restaurants/shops/attractions (followed up by a hand painted map at the cottage upon our arrival)! The front garden was a delight and in bloom, made drinking early morning coffee a relaxing start to the day. You can truly park your car here and walk for the rest of the weekend--the downtown area was about 15 minutes easy walk and the River arts district about 30 minutes away. (Though you might have to use the car to pick up all your cool purchases!) The house was very clean and the beds/furniture was comfortable. The windows/ screen doors allowed a nice breeze since the weather was mild enough to forego the air conditioner. The front porch was a nice place to start the day and the balcony/deck was a great place to end the day with a drink and a good book. We felt right at home in this charming little cottage! Will return again!

“Highly Responsive and Very Friendly”

Reviewed 16 May 2013

Kelly was very accommodating and made wonderful recommendations. When you drive in don't let the distance fool you. The house is actually conveniently located to downtown. We took the back route and stopped by the coffee shop. It is an easy 10 to 15 minute walk to downtown. The house is well maintained and very inviting. We made great use of the porch, just sitting and watching the neighborhood and enjoying the evening. I recommend the Enchanted House if you are looking for a convenient place to stay when you visit asheville.

“Fun in asheville, felt like home!”

Reviewed 7 Aug 2012

We enjoyed every aspect of our stay at this cottage in asheville. It was clean, well organized, modern and could not be in a better a great location. We walked and biked downtown - either way it was fun and quick. There was a back porch and a front porch - both were fun to sit on and talk or enjoy a cup of coffee. The location can't be beat - The beds were clean and comfortable - the bathroom was also clean - we really felt like we were at home. We will be back!

“Enchanted indeed!”

Reviewed 11 May 2012

I have stayed in the Enchanted Cottage a couple of times this past year and highly recommend it. It has become our "home away from home for our quick getaways to the mountains from Charlotte. Before our initial visit, Kelly was very responsive to our questions and her friendly helpfulness sold us on our choice. Kelly provides a charming, cozy residence that meets all of our "escape vacation needs. The basics-the house is very clean, the towels are thick, the beds comfortable. It has comfortable furniture, dark curtains to keep the sun out in the early morning and enough windows to bring in great light during the day. The plusses-the front porch with two rocking chairs is peaceful and social, as walkers-by usually say "hello. The tree-shaded, elevated deck on the back of the house, overlooking the large backyard, has an very private feeling despite the surrounding neighborhood. And as it is directly off of the kitchen, it is easily accessible for outside meals. The location of the house can't be beat - it is easy to find, basically one turn once you get off of the highway. And most importantly, it is within very easy walking distance to downtown, definitely a plus as parking is difficult to find downtown. Kelly suggested downtown restaurants, galleries and directed us to some of the larger antique "barns nearby. The Green Life grocery store two blocks away is very handy for when we needed a snack or decided to stay in and cook at the house. The house doesn't seem like it would be a good match for multiple small children and the stairwell to the bathroom may be hard for people with mobility issues. But for most people, we would highly recommend this house!
