My wife, I and another couple spent a week at Casa Contigo in March and had an absolutely wonderful time. Casa Contigo is a spectacular home with incredible views and every amenity needed to be self efficient. The Casa is laid out in such a manner that both bedrooms were identical which prevents potential disagreements over who gets the best bedroom with the best view. Tracey & Evan responded to every email in an amazingly short period of time and were spot on with their recommendations. The location of Casa Contigo is ideal as it is private but located close to everything in Sayulita. The housekeeper Yadi did a great job and was very gracious and washed a few loads of clothes during the week. We were pleasantly surprised when she handed us some money left in the pocket of one of the articles of clothing she had washed. Overall, we felt we rented the best possible property in Sayulita and that Tracey and Evan have thought of everything to make it a memorable experience. If I had to find one thing to complain about it would be that we felt so comfortable (the infinity pool and upper level deck) that we rarely left the Casa and therefore did not have any time to explore the area. Oh well, just another reason to return in the future.

“Casa Contigo - Wow”

Reviewed 11 Mar 2015

What an incredible home. The views, layout, location, and privacy all far exceeded my wife’s and my expectations. The beach and town are short and easy jaunts on foot. We felt safe walking to and from the house both day and night, and certainly felt secure in the home. Other reviews say pictures don’t do the property justice, and they are correct. As nice as Casa Contigo appears on screen, in person it is even better. Falling asleep and waking up to the sounds of the surf brought so much peace to both of us, and to be able to gaze out over the beach and bay with only the iguanas and tropical birds (and incredible stars at night) for company was perfect. Sayulita is a small and wonderful town with some good food options. When we chose to leave Casa Contigo there was plenty to do and explore in the village, though the best part was always coming home to one of the nicest and most serene properties we’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting. We have no reason to explore other housing options for our next trip, as we would certainly plan around the availability of Casa Contigo. This place would be very hard to beat.

“Perfect romantic getaway with a world class view”

Reviewed 9 Feb 2015

We've been renting privately owned villas for a dozen or so years, mainly for a romantic getaway during the winter, and always struggle with finding a place with everything we're looking for that isn't designed and priced for 10 or 12 people. We definitely found that and more in Casa Contigo. The villa is absolutely beautiful and perfect for a couple. The view, the privacy, the design and furnishings, and the heated infinity pool are all world class. Being able to drink the water right out of the tap, shower, and brush your teeth without worrying is icing on the cake. The only villa we've rented that even comes close is on the Caribbean island of St. Barts at more than twice the price. When you walk in the front door, you're looking across the infinity pool at this amazing view of the ocean, the point to the west of town and part of the town. Upstairs, the identical bedrooms have even more jaw dropping views, which you can enjoy while lying in bed, and doors that open to the sea breeze and sound of the surf. When you think it couldn't get any better, you take the stairs to the rooftop deck where you can see the entire town and coastline. It's pretty amazing. The villa is in a neighborhood, but designed to ensure privacy and the neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. Sayulita itself is a funky, lively Mexican town right on the beach with a surprising number of interesting shops, not the usual places full of cheap tourist junk. We found several very good restaurants and a bunch of sidewalk taco stands that were excellent. The beach is easily accessible from the villa and great for sunning, walking, boogie boarding, surfing and swimming. We rented a car so we could explore a couple of towns to the north and for general convenience, but you wouldn't have to since town is only about a 10 or 15 minute walk. A lot of folks rent golf carts, which seemed like a good option, especially since parking a car downtown can be challenging at times. I'm pretty sure we'll be back to Sayulita, and if we do, there's absolutely no question that we'll stay at Casa Contigo.

“Even better than the photos!”

Reviewed 8 Apr 2014

Photos cannot do the Casa or the view justice. The home is new, brilliantly designed with breathtaking views from every room from the kitchen to roof deck to bedrooms, and you feel like you're living outside the whole time, but with all the comforts of a modern home. It was great to be able to drink tap water and use the ice maker. The house is built to really high standards with great finishing touches and a solid feel, and is meticulously maintained by the owners, and maid who comes every 2 days. And the owners themselves could not be better! They were downstairs in the casita during my week there, and were always available if I called them with questions, but were never intrusive. You'll never hear or see them if you don't choose to. They are extremely knowledgeable about Sayulita and the surrounding area and do a great job offering all the info you want to make your vacation whatever you want it to be. And they're just really nice, fun, happy people. Don't make the mistake of renting a home with an unheated pool in Sayulita! It is hot during the day but the heated pool at Casa Contigo was crucial! I bet an unheated pool would only be usable for the hottest couple hours in the afternoon when I didn't really want to be in the sun anyway. I used the pool at all times of day and night and it was always the perfect temperature. The location is also fantastic - the casa is just far enough out of town to be totally quiet at night with a sky full of stars and just the sounds of the crickets and ocean, but close enough to easily walk anywhere, any time. Just take the flashlight provided if you're going out late. And the view from up this high is my favorite. Some people prefer to be right on the beach, but Casa Contigo provided a better view across the entire town and bay, with more privacy and trees full of the most incredible birds and iguanas, that entertained me for hours. What a great experience, thanks again Evan and Tracey!

Response from the owner Thank you so much for your awesome review, Matt!  We are so glad you enjoyed the casa so much -- including the amazing views, and the heated pool (which we agree is needed to fully enjoy a pool in Sayulita from December through April!).  We did want to clarify for our future guests that the main pool/living level of Casa Contigo sits only 100 feet above sea level -- just at palm-top height (with the two main casa bedrooms and roof deck above that, and the casita and bonus room below).  Thus, we are as low down the hill on the north-end of town as you can be and still have the amazing views that Matt enjoyed.  For a visual of our location, please see the last photo on this VRBO listing, which shows a picture of the north-end of Sayulita, with Casa Contigo circled. Casa Contigo is an easy two-minute walk down to the beach (and a couple extra minutes back up to the casa), and a ten-minute walk to town.  The vast majority of our guests take advantage of a shuttle service to get to and from the airport (as well as to stop for grocery shopping on the way to the casa), and then enjoy strolling to the beach or town (which we think is one of the charms of Sayulita).  With that said, as Matt suggests, if you don't want to make the short 100-foot walk up to casa, or if you have mobility problems, or are coming during the hotter, humid rainy season (June-Oct), you might enjoy renting a car or golf cart.

“What's not to love about Casa Contigo!!!”

Reviewed 15 Mar 2014

Four of us (2 couples) just returned from two weeks spent in paradise. This is our 3rd trip to Sayulita, and Casa Contigo far exceeds our previous lodgings. The owners have taken great care in laying out a home that is beautiful, comfortable and inviting. The views of the ocean and town are outstanding from all 3 levels: the main level, the bedroom(s) on the 2nd level, and the rooftop deck. The heated salt water infinity pool is so inviting at the end of a day exploring nearby beaches and towns. The kitchen is well-stocked. Iguanas and birds indigenous to the area abound in nearby trees. The owners are extremely helpful and accommodating in offering recommendations for any kind of activity, including massages, meal preparation, favorite restaurants, snorkeling, tequila, etc. This house made Sayulita so much more enjoyable for us. We found it extremely difficult to leave and return to reality.

“Simply the best!”

Reviewed 12 Nov 2013

For a special anniversary, my husband and I invited our best friends (6 of us in total), for a week in Sayulita. Choosing the right place to stay seemed a no-brainer when we read the positive reviews for Casa Contigo, but could it live up to our expectations? Booking 6 months in advance leaves a lot of time for anticipation!!! We were not disappointed, nor will you be. The casa is everything it purports to be - beautifully designed, sublimely comfortable, spotlessly clean, with amazing views, and an oasis to return home to (if you ever want to leave). We didn't stray far as it was so delightful just to sit and read and splash in the pool. With all of us loving to cook, dining on the rooftop terrace was a natural choice, and it was fun to explore the shops in town for the evening's menu. One night we booked Roberto (personal chef) for dinner and were blown away, so we highly recommend him. Otherwise, if anyone is interested in staying at Casa Contigo and would like 6 house guests to come and cook for you, I'm sure all of us will be available! Bon appetit!

“In Love with Casa Contigo”

Reviewed 14 Aug 2013

Hello Evan and Tracy, It was with great sadness that we packed our bags earlier today and said goodbye to Casa Contigo. We had a fantastic time in Sayulita and will definitely come back to visit. The house was absolutely perfect for us and it was such a pleasure to discover all the wonderful details that you so carefully designed! We loved its openness, the graceful curves that defined the spaces and captured views, it's understated simplicity, the material and color choices, everything was so carefully considered that it was pure joy! Even though we ventured out every day to explore the surroundings, we were always eager to come back home. The pool was a favorite hang out spot in the late afternoon, right before the incredible showers overlooking the ocean. We made dinner at home a couple of times, ate out at a variety of restaurants at different times of the day, surfed, paddle boarded, did yoga, mountain biked, went running, and just hung out reading by the pool. All that and we are all recharged! Thank you again for sharing your wonderful house with us and for all the great tips and suggestions. It made our stay truly memorable. Ana, Bill, Gaby and alejo

“Perfect First Time”

This house was perfect. Sayulita didn't disappoint and neither did Casa Contigo. Beautiful, well maintained (but still very private). Gorgeous views. Great amenities, from fully stocked kitchens to beach umbrellas and boogie boards. The owners were so gracious and thorough and welcoming. This'll pretty much be our go-to for Mexico vacations from now on. (Not perfect for older/younger family members, with the steep stairs, but not a problem for our group!)

“Stop Looking”

You've decided on Mexico, are flirting with Puerto Vallarta, but are intrigued by Sayulita. Please stop dithering and book Casa Contigo ... now! Without reservation, this was the best place my family has ever been ... and they have been everywhere ... while I stayed home wiring money. I went to paradise with them this time and cannot say enough. Tracey and Evan undersell and over-deliver this magnificent home and amazing experience. Nothing short of sensational! Thank you for reading ... now, don't you dare take my week next year!

“Casa Contigo”

I can't say enough nice things about Casa Contigo! Our stay was perfect from start to finish. Some of the highlights... The rooms were beautiful and the beds were unbelievably comfortable. The house had everything you could need: kitchen supplies, umbrellas, towels, boogie boards, etc. The owners, who are so nice and accommodating, shared tons of valuable tips and recommendations for our stay in Sayulita. We rented a golf cart in town and were so happy we did. It made zipping into town super easy.
