“Outstanding location with beautiful touches”

Reviewed 1 Jun 2017

Located very handily to so many attractions, this is a lovely apartment to spend some time in Paris. We were there for 2 weeks and loved it. Surrounded by restaurants, cafes, and every possible food store and market, you never need to travel far for essential supplies. The Louvre is 15 minutes walk away, I walked back from the Arc de Triomphe down the Champs-Élysées, which took about 45 minutes. The Pompidou Centre is around the corner, there's a railway station at the nearby shopping centre and a Metro even closer. All of Paris is within easy reach of the apartment. Not sure I'd describe the place as "Luxury" but it is beautifully decorated. From the owner's own photographs and art to the quirky knick knacks, the place is a delight to the eye. The bed is very comfortable and the linen of exceptional quality. It's also very quiet. There's some noise from the restaurants in the street below the windows at the back, but these windows are double glazed so when closed you won't hear them. From a practical point of view, if you're more than 181cm (6ft) you'll have to watch your head in the shower. The ceiling in the bathroom is very low. We also found that we had to turn on the hot water each day. Not sure if there was a problem or if it's standard, but once you know it needs to be done it's not a problem. There is a comprehensive book of instructions for things like turning on the hot water and working all the appliances. The lift is very cosy, but certainly appreciated. It had some minor maintenance while we were there and walking the 4 floors quickly lost it's novelty. Thankfully it wasn't out long. The owners were very easy to deal with and returned our deposit very speedily. I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to anyone. Apart from the outstanding location, it has a lovely and very comfortable feel to it. Can't wait to go back there.

“Elegant, luxurius apartment”

Reviewed 21 Jan 2013

We loved this elegant and luxurious apartment which is beautifully furnished.Comfortable bed with high quality linen provided. It is in a perfect location, only a few steps away from Rue Montorgueil with its foodie market, specialist food shops and cafes. It is close to some excellent restaurants and only a couple of minutes walk from the metro. We arrived by Eurostar from the UK and took the metro to the apartment, just five stops from the Gare du Nord to Etienne Marcel. We will definitely return again.

“Ideal romantic apartment in Paris!”

Reviewed 6 May 2012

We have stayed in many apartments in Paris. This was absolutely the best. The place is in pristine, clean condition, ideally furnished, with every amenity we might need, including a great pod espresso machine with a supply of pods provided (for a nominal per use fee). For the first time in our experience of Paris, we had the luxurious feeling of a hotel (a great, large bed - one of the few kings in Paris!; a lovely bath/shower; perfectly functioning wifi, elevator access, etc. etc.) but with all the benefits of a private place. The location is amazing - great restaurants and literally the best stretch of cheese shops, fresh produce, wine stores etc. in all of Paris (and including the historic Stohrer bakery, operating since 1730!) just steps away. But since the apartment is in the back of the building and faces a pedestrian st. off the rear windows, it is silent inside at night, despite the crowds of revelers just around the corner. You are totally in it, but you can retreat to the apartment to be totally out of it! Perfect, I think. Everything in terms of getting in and out couldn't have gone more smoothly and since the apartment was perfect in every way and everything in it was described in a book they left, we had no reason in 10 days to contact the owner until the day we left. My only concern would be that in the summer, if you had to leave windows open, it will not be so quiet. If they put in an aC, it would be perfect year-round. In any case, we'll be coming back for sure.

“Such a cosy nest in the heart of Paris”

We did not really want to leave, but duty called. Everything was perfect, location, decoration and amenities. Congratulations to the designer especially for the bedroom's curtains. Beautiful ! We won't forget our short stay in Paris. This place is so close to the Louvre, the river Seine and Notre Dame, it was so nice to be able to walk down the streets. Thank you so much! Daniel.

Fabulous location within easy walking distance of many key tourist/business locations and close by metro stations. The apartment is pleasantly furnished and decorated. Both the main and sofa beds are very comfortable with high quality linens, duvet and pillows. The kitchen is reasonably well equipped if you like to cook; and the providores on the nearby rue Montorgueil will leave you spoilt for choice. If you are tall (over 166cm) you might stuggle to stand upright in the shower but this is often an issue with apartments on upper floors in older buildings in Paris. Arrangements for check in/check out are simple and hassle-free. I would definitely stay here again on future visits and I would recommend it to other visitors. Thanks for making our stay in Paris so comfortable alex!

“Nice place, good central location”

Reviewed 16 Feb 2012

I found the apt. as advertised by owner, including photos. It has been renovated lately and fitted with new interior (kitchen, beds, electronics etc...). It is a good apt. The location is less than 3 minutes away from the Metro and in a no drive zone. Getting the keys to the apt. and returning them occurred as agreed with owner.
