DETAILS:

This spectacular almond-wood house is nestled in the forest for a tranquil, natural ambiance. You will see lots of wildlife and hear only nature sounds: waves, monkeys, birds, and the burbling brook near the house.

A mere 300 meters/yards from beautiful Los Cedros Beach, this house has the additional charm of having easy walking access to two lovely rivers that offer a wonderful place to spend the day relaxing and watching tropical birds.

Even if you never leave the house you will see plenty of wildlife, which could include: monkeys, agoutis, coatimundis, tayras, toucans, armadillos, anteaters, and many other species. The third floor observation deck puts you at canopy level- and what an ideal spot to enjoy your morning coffee

With three bedrooms and three bathrooms, two showers (one outdoors) and a huge kitchen, this is a fabulous house for your vacation with friends or family. The kitchen never fails to please our guests, as it is very well-equipped and makes a lovely place to prepare and share meals.

This house comes with many extras, including two bicycles, wi-fi internet access, satellite TV, BBQ, weekly cleaning service, and much more. The location is ideal- and with easy access to the local shuttle bus there is no need for an expensive rental car. We are available locally to provide ongoing assistance with activities, travel advice, and any other needs or questions that may arise. We'll even help you with details about how to get to Montezuma from the airport.

Getting around

The towns of Cabuya and Montezuma are both within walking distance, but because the weather is often hot most guests use the small shuttle bus that runs several times a day. Fare is about $1 USD. The house comes with a pre-paid local cell phone, and this phone is programmed with numbers for taxis. This is a great way to get around, and not very expensive. Casa Montezuma provides two mountain bikes for your use, with advance notice. Lastly, we are happy to help you arrange for a rental car while you are here. This can be a nice option for at least a few days of your stay, so that you may make a couple of day trips to the outlying attractions.

Interaction with guest

Tito (owner) lives next door to Casa Montezuma, so he is around should you need any advice or assistance. That said, your experience at Casa Montezuma will be extremely private and tranquil. You are welcome to stop by, but we will not interrupt your privacy. Our goal is to help make this your best vacation ever!

Casa Montezuma is located in a natural and peaceful area, with no noise or dust from the road or the town. The sounds you will hear will be howler monkeys, birds, and other jungle sounds. We hope that you will enjoy your stay at Casa Montezuma- it’s almost like staying at a Nature Park.

If you prefer to be very close to the night life scene, you may wish to choose a house that is directly in town.

How do damage deposits work?

If Donna (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
