“A beautiful villa with spectacular views that provided a great f”
Jocelyn offered a warm welcome and excellent insight into the local area - she is the secret gem. The villa was spotless and everything in good working order. We enjoyed some lovely family meals inside and out overlooking the pool, vinyards and mountains - amazing! The teenagers enjoyed the cool of the pool and the house when in chill mode! We were particularly pleased that our 'pope mobile' did not destroy any of the local folk as we negotiated 'cafe corner'. We spent time travelling to several beaches favourite being armadoura using the Creta hotel facilities. Would love to stay in the villa again and again and again! Karen and Ian allison
“Fantastic family break in lovely villa”
Beautiful villas set in glorious Greek countryside. They have amazing views, spotlessly clean and stunningly decorated rooms, as well as an incredible hostess. Jocelyne looked after us incredibly well and we are really grateful to her for making our trip special. The villas are perfect for total relaxation, the pool was fantastic, the local villages had absolutely everything you need, and the villas are close to Heraklion, Knossos and a local vineyard. The gardens are beautiful and Jocelyne goes to great lengths to stand out as a hostess - there were fresh flowers in every room, as well as other lovely touches, making this place a home from home. Can't wait to go back!
“Excellent place to stay”
Villa Irini was just wonderful. My three daughters and my folks spend ten days staying at this fantastic villa. We arrived at night and woke up to the spectacular views the next morning. Even more impressive than the pictures. The villa had everything we needed from beach towels to extra coffee filters. The owner has thought of everything. The location is beautiful. We took a short walk into the village for a few grocery items and the restaurant located within the village center is fantastic. I also cannot say enough positive things about the owner of the villa. Jocelyne met us at the villa when we arrived. She came over for a few brief visits to give advice on things to see, restaurants in the area and great little treats. (raki!) I enjoyed my stay very much and my daughters and folks did too. Thank you Jocelyne, Roberta, for the Myers and Baturin families
“My awesome first trip to Greece!”
I stayed here for 2 weeks in July 2009 with my husband and his family. It is a short drive from the Heraklion airport. This was my first trip to Greece so I did not know what to expect. Upon arriving at Villa Irini, I was happy to find that it were very nice, clean, and safe. There are 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms so there was plenty of room for all of us. The view from our patio was beautiful mountains and vineyards- the perfect place to enjoy drinks and watch the sunsets! The first night we were there we walked to a local restaurant where we sat outside and listened to a live Greek band and drank Ouzo. We spent several days reading and relaxing by our private pool. We also used Irini as our home base taking several day trips. Our day trips included visiting Knossos Palace, hiking the Samaria Gorge, visiting Hersonissos, and visiting the island of Santorini! We also took a ship, departing from the Heraklion Port, for an overnight trip to athens! Downtown Heraklion has a Bazaar on the weekends and is lively in the evening. The owner, Jocelyne, was extremely nice and helpful. She greeted us upon arrival and gave us many recommendations on where to eat and what to see. I recommend staying here if you want to relax, but also be close to many attractions.
“A Little Slice of Paradise”
Our family had a wonderful 2 week holiday here. The villa had an outstanding panorama as well as being extremely comfortable and spacious. The views were incredible day and night. The pool was lovely, and because you were a little higher up you got amazing breezes which kept you cool. Our host, Jocelyne, was one of the best we have encountered ever in our many years of travel. She made sure we had everything we possibly needed, from Greek Coffee to homemade Sangria. It is worth the visit just to meet Jocelyne and experience the care she shows I would certainly recommend her villas and in fact the lovely island of Crete. Thank you Jocelyne!
