Valletta G-House is a little private town house within the walls of Valletta, Malta capital and also a Unesco World Heritage City. This graceful 16th century pied-à-terre is one of the last remaining architectural jewels in the 450 year old city. It’s been furnished with comfort in mind, taking care to respect its original character and history.

If you’re looking for a self-catering holiday rental with outstanding character, that reflects the country’s history, heritage and culture in both architecture and furnishings, you will love the Valletta G-House.

The house and its particular location in Valletta, offers an undiluted experience of the Maltese traditional way of life – a boutique rental in a typical Valletta street where neighbours still lower their baskets for the bread man and the grocer knows your name.

In the past the kitchen used to be a cellar, and is therefore the coolest room in the house. Today, its coolness offers a refuge from the hot summer weather outside, however for those who don't cope well with high levels of humidity, the kitchen might not be the best spot in the house.

Getting around

Valletta is small in size, and it is quite possible for most people to explore the whole city on foot. Get hold of a good street map - or use the one on your mobile device - and you can get around town without any problem. However, do keep in mind that Valletta is quite hilly, and some streets dip rather steeply towards the harbour. Travelling to Valletta by public transport is easy. Many of the buses start and finish their journey at the Main Terminus just outside City Gate. The Malta Public Transport company also operates a convenient circular route around Valletta. A system of electric cabs is also in operation within Valletta. A romantic alternative is to use horse-drawn carriages known as Karozzin.

You will be picked up from the airport and driven to the house. You will be shown around the house and you can ask any questions you like about Valletta and Malta. Throughout your stay you will be able to get in touch with either one of the owners via mobile or email.

Whenever we have guests checking in on the same day that guests are checking out, we try to accommodate both with their luggage storage requirements, but when a clash of timing occurs, the people checking in take priority, because it is essentially their day :) We currently already provide an alternative for luggage storage, which is is a few meters away from the house but we are now looking at a closer alternative to accommodate guests further. Thank you for the suggestion.
