“Beautiful place close to town”
My partner, 6 year-old son and I rented Casa Sandia for one week and would have loved to stay longer. It was hard to leave this charming, beautiful place, especially with a great little pool right outside our back door. We look forward to going back - it was terrific experience.
“Terrific time in an awesome surf town!”
We definitely enjoyed our visit to Sayulita. We found Casa Sandia to be a wonderful Mexican home with all the amenities. The location was safe and quiet, with beautiful natural gardens and dipping pool. Everything worked and the staff were most friendly. We would certainly return as well as recommend Casa Sandia to our friends.
“Loved Casa Sandia”
I stayed at Casa Sandia 1 with a friend and the casa was perfect. There is one large bedroom with a queen sized bed and another area with two twin beds, so it was great for us since we could each have our own space. The kitchen is spacious and well stocked. Since no one was renting Casa Sandia 2 for part of the time we were there, we went up to the rooftop deck every day. It is covered and has a fantastic view of the ocean and jungle. We felt very safe in the casa and it is just a short walk down to the town, but far enough away to be quiet. The manager Jocelyn picked us up at the bus stop and also gave us a ride there at the end of our stay, which made transportation very easy. We loved our stay and hope to return.
“Our stay at Sayulita”
My husband and I spent 10 days in Sayulita at Casa Sandia. Sayulita is a magical place. It is a small town just north of Puerto Vallarta on the Pacific. In Sayulita there are neither hotels nor any chain stores. Public transportation is available daily from Sayulita south to Puerto Vallarta and north to many small beach villages. Our stay at Casa Sandia was no less than wonderful. From the house, which stands high on "gringo hill”, one can view the ocean and the town below. The house is spacious with a kitchen that opens up to a large patio overlooking the pool. The landscape is well thought out and nicely kept. Just around the corner from the casa a long set of stairs reach down to the town square. My husband and I would walk down to the square everyday to purchase warm handmade tortillas, local fish, and fresh fruit. In the evenings the square is a place where the townspeople gather. Cake and goodies are sold from the back of trucks parked along the square. From the town square one can walk to the place where the fishermen gather readying themselves for a good day of fishing. Later in the day you can catch them sharing their fish and their fish tales. For those who would like a longer walk, there are beautiful beaches to the north and south of town. Our stay at Casa Sandia was fantastic. We will be visiting again on our next trip to Mexico.
“Warm happy memories in the Steins delightful villa”
The owners have done an outstanding job of bringing the colorful culture of the area into their refreshingly unique home. Someone in the family obviously has quite an artistic flair. The space is nicely divided between 3 levels which offer you a variety of ways in which to enjoy this lovely home. Cooking in the 2nd floor kitchen which opens to a expansive patio overlooking their pool was a sheer pleasure. Two couples or families can stay in this home & enjoy their privacy or together time with the greatest of ease. The homes location on top of a hill offers everchanging vistas of Sayulita, the ocean & the lush tropical environment. It is within close walking distance of downtown. Security was well thought out which provided for a relaxing carefree holiday in this beautiful Sayulita home. Wish we were there right now!
“Casa Sandia is a definate return to”
We spent a week there and have stayed many places in Sayulita. The condition of the place was excellent, you can tell the owners have gone to some trouble to make sure we hade everything we needed as we did much cooking at home. The setting is private and we felt like we are in a tree top as from the second and third floor the view changes all day long. Most significant for us is the place has a secure feeling with a wall and gate and good protection over doors and windows. Pool area nice and private and a excellent cool down on a warm day or evening with a nice waterfall cascading into the pool. A sweet evergreen garden weaves thru the yard. This is romantic place.
