“Fantastic location”

Reviewed 2 Jul 2015

We stayed 4 nights at villa number 4 in a group of 6 adults and 2 children. The location of the villa is fantastic, nestled in between the beach (just 5 minutes walking distance) and the main street with many restaurants and shops. Hardy's supermarket is also a short walk away (about 500 metres). The kitchen was fully equipped, though we didn't cook as there were so many food options nearby. The villa felt very private and the kids really loved playing in the pool after a long day (a point to note: the pool is rather deep - we brought along some inflatable floats for the children). One minor complaint was that one or two of the lights in the villa were not working. It wasn't a big issue, hence we didn't felt the need to get it fixed. Michele made sure that the entire stay - from booking of accomodation and day tours to checking-out - went about smoothly with no hiccups. Ajik and the other guide (I didn't get his name) were also fantastic - they were very knowledgeable and made sure that our bali tour was fun and educational. We are happy to have chosen to stay here for our first trip to Bali and will certainly consider this villa again if we return.

Response from the manager Thank you for your lovely review. I will ask the staff to check the lighting immediately. Our staff are always on call to fix any problems when you report them to us. We look forward to seeing you back again soon and will welcome you with a returning guest discount. Kind regards, Michele and staff at Bali Sanur Beach Villas. PS: The other guide is Nyoman :)

“Amazing location and we all were very happy with the villa's”

Reviewed 23 Apr 2014

Our family group consisted of 16 people. We hired three villa's all next door to each other. There were connecting garden gates between the three villa's which were unlocked for our group booking so we could all walk internally through each others gardens to go from one villa to the next, this was perfect for our family reunion holiday. The accommodation certainly lived up to our expectations. The villa's were all well maintained, tastefully decorated and well equipped and made for a comfortable stay. The staff did a great job servicing the villa's for us each day and there was staff members on call 24 hours a day if needed. We have stayed in other villa's in Bali in the past and would have to say that these villa's are now at the top of our list, the location of these villa's made for a very relaxing beach side holiday. We all enjoyed our afternoons spent on the beach, the sunbeds and beach umbrella's which they provide on the beach were a bonus to have as it was nice to not have to worry about where to find a place to relax on the beach. We will certainly be returning to stay again and will be recommending the villa's to all our friends. Thank you Cindy and Joe for your great service through out our booking process and during our stay, we will see you again in 6 months and can't wait to return!

“Fine but nothing special”

Reviewed 22 Apr 2014

Bali Sanur Beach villas were very average unfortunately. The description on Flipkey describes them as "brand new" but there was paint peeling off the wall in all the bedrooms, stains on the curtains, a dripping air conditioning unit in the sitting room and an ant's nest in the corner which meant every morning there were hundreds of ants on the sitting room floor. The pool has a very strong suction hole just under the surface of the water, which is a real hazard. It left a very red mark on my leg and my 10 year old niece got her finger stuck in it. The sun loungers on the beach are a welcome addition but are not in a particularly nice part. When we visited them, there were used syringes and empty bottles on the tables next to them so we did not return! In terms of the service both Cindy and Mohammed in particular, were very helpful. Mohammed was there very quickly when we had a power cut on the first night, something I think may be a fairly regular occurrence. Nano, the driver arranged by the villa, drove into the curb and reversed into another car on the journey from the airport to the villa. He then called up to complain when we didn't use him on another day when we went sightseeing. The villa is cleaned each day but on closer inspection this is more of a light clean than the thorough clean it needs- there was so much limescale on the shower door it looked frosted and crumbs in the cupboards and under the microwave meant there were lots of ants in the kitchen. Also, the fresh towels provided each day were so thin and old that they left fluff all over you! Having stayed in some really fabulous villas in Bali previously, for a similar price, I really wouldn't recommend Bali Sanur beach villas. Sorry!

Response from the manager Dear Polly, We are sorry that the villa you stayed in did not live up to your expectations. We would like to mention to the public that we have 7 villa's and maintainence and up keep of the villa's is very important to us. Based on the majority of our villa's reviews I think it is fair to say that we do take care of our guests needs and the villa's and your very low 2 star review does not compare nor relate to the majority of the many guests who have stayed and reviewed Bali Sanur Beach Villa's. We take reviews from our guests seriously and we act immediately on any guests requests and needs or any maintainence requirements... As you could see for yourself that the drip in the living area from the air-conditioner that you mentioned was immediately fixed as soon as you reported it to us and it was nothing major, just a drip and it did not continue to drip as soon as it was repaired. The air-cons are new air-conditioners, they are regularly serviced and cleaned and although you feel the need to include in your review about some drips of water coming from an air-con it is a shame that you do not want to include the fact that the air- conditioner leak was immediately repaired as soon as you reported the leak to us so it was not a continued problem during your stay. Management personally went to check the villa which you stayed in to check for paint peeling from the walls, we did find a little paint peeling from one of the rooms and we have a painter who has already repaired the two spots on the wall as soon as you checked out (we did not want to do the paint repair during your stay as it would disturb you). The ants nest which was located outside in the corner garden next to the living room by the pool had been removed / destroyed the day after you informed us about it. We understand the ants were annoying for you on your first day, the warm humidity can sometimes generate ants and if that happens we are sure to eliminate them when they are found, it is a normal occurrance in the tropics and can happen any where but it is easily fixed. It is disturbing to hear that you found syringes on the beach, we are wondering if you were using the correct beach sun beds? We are in a hotel area and the beach area is well maintained and cleaned daily and there are no outsiders hanging around at this beach area is it is for hotel and villa guests only. We realise you were only at the vila's for a quick 2 nights stay so you did not have time to familiarise yourself or settle in. Sanur is a lovely quiet and clean beach and to hear your report about syringes being found is very hard to believe. In regards to Nano the driver..... you failed to mention that there was a problem in the car park at the airport and it was not during the journey that Nano drove up a curb, he drove up a curve where the car was parked to get you out of the airport quickly due to a car blocking the way... Accidents can happen to anyone. Nano has been driving for years for tourists in Bali and there are many good reports from our guests regarding Nano's driving services, as you can read in previous reviews from our guests. It's your choice if you wish to use his services or not and that is between you and Nano, we hire the drivers for airport transfers only and if later you wish to use their services they are more than happy to oblige. Our bath towels and pool towels are kept in good new condition and are regularly replaced if they become worn, we will check if we have missed a couple to go in the "no longer to be used category". We have checked the pool and everything is running as it should be and would not suggest to anyone to stick their fingers into any pool / spa jets (I think that is common sense) they are safe and tested so please rest assured that all is ok with the swimming pool that you stayed in. As I mentioned before, we more than satisfy the majority of our guests, (as you can see from guests reviews) however I understand we do not suit everyone and everyone is entitled to their own opinion and therefore I trust in future you will find another villa to stay in. Regards; Management of Bali Sanur Beach Villa's

“The Place to Stay”

Reviewed 30 Jun 2013

We 4 females stayed in Villa 2 for 5 nights, and are pleased to say that the Villa is as advertised on Flipkey. From first contact with Cindy(owner)we had no problems and all questions & requests were met promptly. Nano was extremely polite and helpful with our pick ups, although we didn't use his service for excursions as we only did one and that had transport supplied, but he is a very happy man.Mohammed & housekeeping staff were very efficient, helpful & pleasant and all worked together. Renting the villa was an easy choice over Hotel room/s. The Villa was a delight for us and the pool very welcoming at any time. The location to Beach, Restaurants, Shopping & Massages was within walking distance, plenty to choose from, we ate out for all meals. We did find a great little Dress shop "Tina Collections". The position of the Villa's is in a very quiet area, security checks on all who enter and you don't hear noise from other villas. We had a wonderful time there and thank Cindy, Joe & staff for a great place to stay. Would stay again and recommend this rental highly.

“Perfect Villa”

Reviewed 13 Feb 2013

We just got back from a week stay at the Sanur Bali Villas. It was amazing! The villa was clean, the rooms were a good size, and the staff was very helpful. The pool wasn't huge and when we first got there we had our eye on going to the pool with the swim up bar next door, but never ended up going because the villa pool was all we needed. The villa is close to the beach, a ton of great restaurants, some shopping, and my personal favorite, massage places. The driver, Nano, picked us up and dropped us off at the airport. He also took us on a day trip for a very reasonable price. I would recommend this villa to anyone. We felt very safe and it made our trip to Bali that much better.

Wwe stayed in villa 3 my sister and family in villa 4 . vlla 4 had more user friendly steps at the enterance (gate/door)villa 3 was a bit steep (not a drama ) otherwise these villas are the same just like the pictures on the website . beds comfy aircon great the water cooler was a bonus , hot cold and room temp .(no daily water bottles too worry about) Had breaky at the porch/ flashbacks so loved that airconditioning nice food and coffee .Would stay again for sure. Only bummer not villas fault was gryia santrain all nine of us went there, pooltowels in hand hoping too spend the afternoon poolside. Only two sunbeds were occupied. However this was not the case we were told we wre more than welcome to buy a main meal in the restaurant then if we wanted to swim, pay a fee of about 125,000 each ( i think ] We couldnt order lunch by the pool :( so we took our money elsewhere

Response from the manager Hi Sue, We are pleased you enjoyed your stay at our Bali Sanur Beach Villa's. In regards to you mentioning the next door Griya Santrian Hotel, I would like to make it clear that this is nothing to do with our villa's (as you know) we are private villa's, the villa's are not part of the Griya Santrian Hotel. They are next door to the hotel and we share the same security driveway entrance as the Griya Santrian Hotel and the Vila Shanti Hotel. Which are all seperate from each other. I was informed by the Griya Santrian that their pool package includes a meal, but I can not comment to their rules and regulations at their hotel. Thank you for your review and we look forward to welcoming you back to stay at our Bali Sanur Beach Villa's in the future.

“Very relaxing holiday.”

Reviewed 11 Nov 2012

We have just returned from 9 nights staying at these villas. On arrival at the airport villa driver Nano was waiting for us, he is a lovely man who speaks great english and is quite knowledgable about all areas of Bali, we used him several times whilst there one day sight seeing and the other days for shopping nothing was too much trouble for him. Now to the villa, when we arrived all the staff were waiting for us, they introduced themselves and then showed us around and explained how everything worked and also gave us a list of phone numbers in case of any problems. We stayed in villa 4 which is the very back villa, the villa was in a very quiet location and was just lovely. What we liked also was that the kitchen/lounge area had glass sliding doors which you could close and have the airconditioner on or leave open as you pleased, its nice to have an area other than the bedroom to sit in and still be able to keep cool. All rooms had a LCD/DVD player and were large and spacious the main bedroom was enormous with a walk in wardrobe and a huge bathroom. Wi-fi is provided although we had a few issues with this but a phone call to the property manager and it was rectified within the hour, very prompt service. I loved the location, its within the grounds of the Griya Santrian and Villa Shanti resorts and a quick 2 min stroll onto the beach, there are many restaurants out the front to eat at, and boy did we try a few of them and were not disapointed once. Hardys supermarket is about a 10 min stroll and has everything that you need although I couldn't tell you what I cooked as I didn't lol, this holiday was about relaxing and thats what we did. The pool is not huge but large enough for us and served its purpose cooling us down, I should also mention that I made several trips to a laundry which was across the road and down a laneway (2 min walk) and god am I missing it now. I can highly recommed these villas and look forward to returning in the future, thanks Cindy & Joe

“Brilliant!”

Today we leave :( but I just wanted to thank Cindy, Joe & their wonderful staff for a fantastic stay in their villa's. The villa was well appointed & set up to accommodate tourists needs. The location is ideal and close to the beach and restaurants. I can't commend the staff highly enough, they were attentive to everything. Thank you again, this is definitely our new choice of accommodation when we return to Sanur. Kind regards, Colette Murray and family.

“Brilliant Holiday”

Reviewed 20 Sep 2012

We had a fantastic holiday in the villa. The privacy of having our own villa was brilliant. They are beautiful, clean and in a great location close to shops and beach. The staff were friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed spending time with the driver, Nano. I've been to Kuta a few times but found Sanur more appropriate for a family. My kids didn't want to come home so I can guarantee we will be back. A really enjoyable holiday that I'd recommend to anyone. Loved it, loved it, loved it.

“Top Villa”

Reviewed 28 Jun 2012

These are very modern, well appointed villas. It is in a great location and more importantly quiet, even though you are just down from the main road in Sanur. The beach is a couple minutes walk with easy access through Vila Shanti or Griya Santiran. 1 minute walk to the main street with plenty of restuarants. We had great breakfasts at the Porch Cafe (on the main street just to the left of the driveway to the villas on the opposite side of the road. Fantastic dinners at the Mona Lisa(just to the right of the driveway, opposite side of the road). Woodfired pizzas from the village restaurant at the start of the driveway (they will deliver, but less than a minute walk to pick up). Lovely deep pool. Nice gazebo to sit in the shade during the day or to relax in during the evening with a night cap. Handy having free WiFi and flat screen tv's in all the rooms. Well stocked kitchen (if you want to cook, we didn't) and big fridge to store your drinks. The villa was cleaned everyday and the staff were happy, friendly and attentive. All requests were dealt with promtly. Check in was easy and the staff showed us around the villa and its amenities. Would stay again.
