“Great location and value for money. Attentitive owner on site”

My wife & I were satisfied with our stay. Everything is expensive in Paris, so value for money is a major factor in our choice. It's easy to find the apartment on the map. But I wasn't given instruction on how to get into the building. I had sent an email to ask at the airport but have no wifi to receive anne's email when I get there. I should've remembered to ask earlier before I left for the trip. Good thing someone came out of the building after 10min so we went in afterwards. This apartment is at a great location close to Metro, grocery store, and the arc de Triomphe, which offers the advantage of nearing air France bus stop (travel from/to airport) and Charles de Gaulle - Etoile metro station. Given this is a big metro station, it makes connecting to other metro lines very convenient. If you have museum pass, you can pretty much go up to the arc and take in the view every evening if you want to. And not to mention it's an easy walk to all the shopping and night-life on Champs élysées. Even at midnight, the street is busy, kinda cool. We feel safe walking around at night time. Owner anne is fluent in English and helpful. The rooms are clean. With the money you pay, it's really of good value. Don't except a 4-5 star room, but for sure a 2.5-3 star. The coffee machine, coke, water was a nice touch. I wasn't told beforehand I had to pay the PalPay fee (10 euro) for the deposit, but I have no problems with that. Granted, the walls are quite thin. I think it's typical of older buildings in Paris. We tried our best to lower our voices at night time, and I think so did all the tenants there. So there was no noise problem at all at night time, so we had good sleep the whole week. Overall I would recommend staying here! Thanks anne!

“Great studio in a great location”

This was the third trip my daughter and I have taken to Paris from the UK. Anne's service was excellent, with the key and instructions at the flat when we arrived. The large studio just off avenue Victor Hugo was lovely, bright and clean, having everything we needed to rest, cook and make ourselves at home. The building is very elegant and we felt very safe and secure , there was also a concierge. The apt is easy to find, very handy and close to the metro Victor Hugo and next to Velib ( bicycles station ) one on avenue Victor Hugo and the other on rue Lauriston . Also within very short walking distance to the Champs Élysées !!! Bus 52 is just opposite the road. We loved the Monoprix not even a block away ,handy for anything we needed. There's a wonderful and famous patisserie across the road called " Lenôtre ", perfect for mouth-watering morning croissants or pastries. There are also two beautiful markets nearby ,one on avenue President Wilson and one on rue Mesnil , both twice weekly , with lovely fresh produce. Renting an apartment is a much better way to getting a true Parisien experience. You save a lot by being able to buy your own produce and cook simple meals. There are three lifts , a big relief as many Paris apartments do not have this . The hallways and landings are clean and quiet, and the caretaker of the building is a friendly man who speaks no English but appreciated our efforts to converse in French! This budget apartment is a real gem in a lovely location. We will definitely be back and recommend it to our friends !

“Sleepless in Paris”

Unfortunately my stay here was very disappointing due to the noise from the adjacent apartment and the owner's poor communication. I chose this apartment for its easy access to start of paris marathon on champs élysées. Due to the marathon, accommodation was hard to find but this one was available - although price was 20% higher than rate quoted on the website. As noted by other reviews, if anyone is in the adjoining apartment you can hear every single noise - normal conversations, snoring, bathroom noise! Our neighbours came home at 2am and stayed up talking till 4am on the morning of the marathon which was a real problem when you are desperate for a good night sleep before running a marathon. Communication from the owner was poor - no proper confirmation of booking received, no deposit taken to secure apartment, no address provided until i had to ask for it a couple of days before we arrived. There was confusion about the payment amount due on departure, even though I requested the cleaner to confirm with the owner since we had not had an official invoice. Landed up having full blown argument with owner who obviously thought we were trying to leave without paying. Very tense times and the owner showed very little comprehension of customer service. Lots of excuses about having flu, being so busy, and arranging her own birthday party. We asked the cleaning lady about leaving luggage until our evening flight and she assured us the caretaker would look after our bags. She even offered to take them to him when she was finished cleaning. Fortunately we decided to take them ourselves as he was completely not interested, and who knows how we would have contacted her to find out where the bags were, let alone had time to retrieve them without missing our flight.

“Excellent Location but the rooms could be better”

We stayed there last week for 3nights. The apartment is in an excellent location near victor Hugo Street and very accessible from Etoile Charles de Gaule Etoile or Victor Hugo stations (5min walking). The owner anne is in africa but managed to call me and give me all the needed information and was very helpful and nice.The housekeeping lady is from Philippines,very nice people, helpful and polite with her husband. They helped us and helped us with our washing and ironing for extra 20eutos which was great for us. Concerning the rooms, Anne owns 2 adjacent rooms which we occupied the first on the first night and the second on the 2 other nights. The first room isn't like the picture, it is a 10-15m and is smaller than the second room and its toilet is extrely small and doesn't Contain any table or chairs to sit on or stove. The second room 15-20m and is similar to the photos,more spacious and contain a stove and the bathroom is bigger. The problem is the link between the rooms: we heard the snoring of the people sleeping in the other room the first night and the second night we assisted to a Skype call between our neighbors and their parents. The rooms were clean, you have the washing machine but the washing powder is not present. The rooms are not cleaned daily so don't expect daily housekeeping. The price is Excellent for the location!

“Lovely apartment and great location”

Anne went out of her way to make us feel welcome. Any queries we had were answered promptly before and during our stay at rue Paul Valery. The apartment is beautiful - I especially enjoyed the bed, the new firm mattress and French linen. Anne lives in the same building which is convenient. The bathrobes were white and fluffy, likes the ones you get in deluxe hotel, and to slip into one after a long day sightseeing was particularly enjoyable. English speaking TV channels, wifi, free local telephone calls, radio, dvd player, iron+board, hairdryer, nespresso coffee machine - indeed everything there that one would expect from a 5-star establishment, all new and worked perfectly. The apartment was spotless when we arrived and the furnishings were modern. We ate out a lot, because we wanted to enjoy the real Parisian food, but we did eat breakfast in the apartment and cooked once or twice. We found the cooking facility perfect for what we needed. The area is brilliant - shops, restaurants, bakeries, supermarkets, transport and metro so close by, a real pleasure, plus the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysees all within a couple of minutes on foot. I was amazed at how safe the neighbourhood is at night, we walked home often very late and felt quite safe. I cannot speak highly enough of anne, her patience, her professionalism, she replied to our emails within a short space of time and called us to give further information regarding the area and the apartment. I have no hesitation in recommending her place and I myself hope to be back soon.

“Fabulous apartment and best location”

This was my 3rd stay at this lovely apartment, I will definitely stay again and have recommended it to family and friends. The apartment is sunny, bright and tastefully decorated, one can see that anne takes a lot of care managing it. It definitely felt like home-from-home particularly when we cooked light meals in the well equipped kitchenette. We loved the bakery on Place Victor Hugo which anne recommended and having the Monoprix Supermarket literally 200m, that opens daily until the late hours very convenient. Needless to say, we loved the George Clooney expresso coffee machine which added a touch of luxury to this already well appointed apartment. It makes my visits to Paris the best experience it could possibly be (I live in London, so am fortunate to come a couple of times a year).
