“Everything you require for a comfortable stay”
Everything you require and more, the attention to detail at Blue Wren Lodge was fantastic. Clean, comfortable with touches of luxury, nothing was missed. The bird life and wildlife at the property was wonderful, the gazebo and bbq were put to great use on more than one occasion. Do yourself a favour and stay at Blue Wren Lodge, we will be returning
We stayed at Blue Wren, one of 2 lodges, and thoroughly enjoyed the time there. Blue Wren is separated from the other lodge by trees and garden, and so is completely private. The house is spacious, well appointed, and spotless. Outside is a gazebo with bbq, and a great place to sit with a wine in the afternoon, and enjoy the visiting kangaroos, birds, and the views of mountains in the background. We will be back, and have recommended this to our friends.
“Peace and Tranquility in the Grampians”
Everything about Kingfisher Lodge was first class. On arrival and entering the Lodge our reaction was WOW. Everything was meticulous. A delightful breakfast basket, including a voucher to get bread form the bakery and a great bottle of local wine awaited. The lounge area was fully equipped with CD's and DVD's, books and maps. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Easy access to the main town and wonderful wildlife at the door. We were not able to fault the property.
“Excellent place to stay”
The lodge is a beautiful, fully equipped house; very clean and cosy. You can rest and eat with your family while kangaroos are eating at your backyard. And when you come back from a day of walking or climbing, a great SPA is waiting for you. Owners are very friendly and helpful too. I highly recommend staying at The Lodge.
“I can not find enough superlatives to describe this amazing place!”
I would like to give this place a terrible, but very misleading review, saying how awfully under supplied the cottage was, how uncomfy the king size bed was, how the upstairs balcony wasn't the best place to hang out on a warm summers evening to not see the huge amount of wildlife parading through like they were in peak traffic on The Monash, how the spa bath in the amazing en suite wasn't a beautiful place to unwind, the list is endless. Why would I want to give such a false review? Because I don't want to give away JUST how beautiful it was and for it to ever not be available for when we want to return, which we undoubtably will. It was simply amazing with every detail thought of and taken care of. Peter and Kerrin should be extremely proud of the facilities that they offer. Thanks so very much :)
“Beautiful location and first class accommodation”
We had a great time walking the tracks of the Grampians and were lucky to be able to come back to this beautiful location each night. A lovely holiday and great service.
“Lovely place to relax”
We spent 3 nights in the Kingfisher Lodge and enjoyed our stay very much. Within 5 minutes of arriving there we had a kangaroo grazing in the yard, and within an hour there were about a dozen. We also were pleasantly surprised to see an echidna the first day we were there. There were many more kangaroos in the paddock next to the lodge, plus deer and even an emu, and plenty of cockatoos and other birdlife visited us. So if you like wildlife, this is the place to be. As for the property itself, it is presented very nicely, and offers all the facilities you could need, i.e. well equipped kitchen, great bathroom with spa bath, washing machine, dishwasher, etc. And it's a short walk to the main street in Hall's Gap. We highly recommend The Lodges to anyone wanting a nice place to spend some time relaxing in the Grampians.
“We'll be back !”
On arrival at the Blue Wren Lodge we were pleasantly surprised by the Layout of the quaint but modern accommodation, The fully set up kitchen which was fully stocked with everything we needed plus wine and snacks at no extra cost was a real plus everything was immaculately clean and the surrounds gave the feel of seclusion and privacy even though we were only a 5 minute walk from town, Peter and Kerryn were easy to deal with and were more than helpful with any requests. All in all I can't speak highly enough of the Blue Wren Lodge and we will definitely be back. Craig and Tam.
“Perfect in every way”
We stayed at Blue Wren for two nights and later regretted we hadn't booked for longer. The cottage was perfect - very well appointed, perfect location, lovely garden, clean and all the little extras that make a difference. Peter was very helpful. We would highly recommend The Lodges.
“Met our every expectation!!”
A beautiful tidy, comfortable accommodation for the weekend or longer if you are lucky enough to have the time to stay longer. Everything we needed had been thought of, the kitchen was well equipped and the added extras such as vouchers for bread and milk ensured we had everything we needed for a relaxing time away. The rooms were tidy and the spa bath an extra treat. You can tell the owners pride themselves in taking care of these properties. Well done Peter and Kerryn you should be so very proud of what you have achieved....
