Getting around

While I generally recommend renting a car as it is nice to have the freedom to impulsively visit any and all sites you can think of, there are other means of travel. To get from the airport to the villa there are numerous transfer services which are all generally around the same price. Taxis are available and if you wish to book one, please let Alex our Property Manager know as he can arrange one for you. Some guests have taken the driver's business card and used their services exclusively during the course of their stay! There are also small passenger vans that travel up and down Hwy 307 which are known as Collectivo. This is an extremely inexpensive way to travel around the Riviera, and it is like a miniature city bus.

Interaction with guest

I am always available via email and phone, our Housekeeper is on site every day except Sundays, and our Property Manager Alex is at your disposal throughout the course of your stay! Keys are available on site in a lockbox for guests (code is provided at time of booking in Welcome Package). Things to do and places to visit are also provided in a document upon booking!

Response from the owner Ronald, I am so sorry to hear that you were less than pleased with the villa. I wish you had contacted me via email as I would have told you that if you required further chairs around the table, they are located up in the bedrooms as we only keep 8 around the table and the four stools at the breakfast bar. Please be assured that we have had lots of groups of 14 people stay at the villa and we are mindful of the seating during dinner time. We are in the process of receiving new chairs for the balconies and covered pool deck, so perhaps that is why there were not enough exterior chairs as I instructed Alex to remove any that were unsafe. With the loungers we only have enough pool seating for 12 at the moment, so I do apologize. We do in fact cook and host parties while at the villa and we ensure there are 14 of each dinner plate, side plate and bowl, however you are correct that there are not more. I am sorry that you had to wash your own dishes as Diana does all the housekeeping and washes the dishes while she is there daily. I will speak to her about this matter, as well as the casita. There was a strainer in the kitchen but perhaps it was damaged and I was not alerted to it - again I apologize. I don't personally use one when I cook pasta as I use tongs to remove the pasta and stir into the sauce. I will ask Alex to purchase one right away and have him look at the teaspoon situation. We were there only days prior to your stay but that was not something I thought to check; thank you for letting us know. Alex did come by but I suppose it was when you were not at home. The pillow covers are hypoallergenic cotton covers as my family has allergies and I am always mindful of such things; I am sorry they weren't to your liking. Overall I hope that these small matters did not completely affect your family vacation time in the beautiful Mayan Riviera and that in future you will choose to stay with us again! Response from the owner Thank you for letting me know about the broken stereo - we checked it and the problem was a CD that was stuck in the slot. It is operational now! The mattresses are hospitality grade with pillow tops - I'm sorry they weren't to your liking. We just purchased new sheets from Costco last year. I'm not sure what icky means, but Diana washes them all on site with laundry detergent and bleach and then dries them in a dryer. We also regularly wash the comforters and hang to dry. I have instructed Diana and Alex to take them to be professionally cleaned.
