“Very Nice Villa”
Very nice and spacious villa in a charming small village just outside Ubud. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
“Great place for relaxing!”
My family stayed at Villa Romantica for 5 days in March. The villa looks exactly as seen in the pictures! Or infact, better than that! It is very beautiful, spacious & well kept. Komang did a fantastic job in whipping up delicious breakfast every morning & for keeping the whole villa clean & well maintained. He is a gem! Our 2 kids had a great time in the pool & it is blissful to just laze by the pool. Not to mention about fire flies gazing just from the attached look out area at night. Splendid!
“Just like the Pictures!”
Great Location and Beautiful villa, just like the pictures! Komang, the house boy is amazing! He's really friendly and makes great breakfast! Definitely enjoyed our time here! However one night I did see a rat running outside. Not a huge deal as I understand it is partially outdoors so creatures would be seen running about! But I think staff should be aware!
lovely private villa. Very well priced. Enjoyed our home made breakfasts every morning, felt really spoilt. Would definately recommend staying here. People were very friendly and helpful, villa was spotlessly clean and do was the lovely swimming pool.
“Great escape from Ubud traffic!”
Oh... what a wonderful experience we had staying at Villa Romantica. Don't be scared by the little path leading to the villa if you are arriving at night! The villa is part of a complex in the middle of a village where each of them are surrounded by their own wall for more privacy. It's walking distance downhill to Ubud center and it gives you the chance to enjoy nice boutiques and cafes on the way. Ubud center is completely madness nowadays so it's nice to escape it while being so close to it at the same time... It's very clean, extremely beautiful and well serviced. Seriously, you can't make a bad choice by deciding to stay there! Enjoy!
We stayed for four days in October. The villa is even better than the pictures, the owner was quick to reply to all my emails and did not even want a deposit. The young man who made out breakfast each day was very helpful he organised a scooter for us at a great rate and kept the villa spotless. The villa is down a uneven side road but it was not a problem for us.It is a good 15 minute walk to Ubud centre, but there are taxis if you do not feel like the exercise .We would defiantly stay here again, and the pool was lovely and warm .
“our stay in the Villa”
We loved our stay in his Villa. The villa was comfortable, clean and we had an excellent touch with Komang who was very thought full, kindly towards us. The villa was very well kept by him and every morning we had a delicious breakfast.
“Relaxing and peaceful”
After coming from Kuta it was a welcome relief to stay at Villa Romantica in Ubud. It is a little out of the main shopping centre, but does not take long to walk or just grab a taxi or scooter. It was comfortable with anything needed was there. Komang was great and was full of information if you wanted to go anywhere. Would recommend Villa Romantica to anyone wanting to go to Ubud for a relaxing time.
“Great value for money with everything taken care of.”
The service was very good from start to finish. Steve was prompt with email replies and organized all sleeping arrangements and transfers as requested. The villa was suitable for our party of 7 but with some of the children sleeping outside in the media area they had to use earplugs to block out the chickens and mozzies managed to invade the nets. This was our choice however as we chose to add a few more to our traveling party and use the movie room as sleeping space. The bedrooms are lovely and the large showers are fabulous. Komang was gorgeous and nothing was too much trouble for him. His breakfasts were much appreciated and he worked tirelessly and quietly to keep the villa in order. Whilst our initial reaction to carrying the luggage up the lane way upon arrival was not overly positive, I really ended up enjoying the location out in a village area and appreciated the calmness and chance to mix with the locals whilst admiring the rice fields.
“Totally loved our stay!”
Thanks to earlier reviews with high praise and the good photos, we booked this villa for two weeks in July and loved every minute. The villa has a great design: private with lush garden, but with an outlook onto rice fields - yes! with ducks from time to time. It has every amenity you could possibly want. We particularly enjoyed lounging on the daybeds and swims in the pool after walks around Penestanan. The nearby yoga studio, "Intuitive Flow" is great with drop in yoga classes and our favourite cafes (all very close by) are the Yellow flower, Sari Organic and Lala Lillis. The villa is in a great location, far enough from the road to be quiet, but close enough to everything good in the area - which includes Eve's Salon, where you get great balinese massages! Our stay was made perfect by Komang, who is an absolute gem, providing expert care for the villa, making a lovely breakfast and always being ready for a laugh and a chat. Komang also helped by providing transport to a dance one night at Peliatan, with no need to bargain the price as it was spot on. He also found us an excellent driver, his friend Made, for our onward trip to Pemerutan.
