Description

Set on the beautiful, unspoilt south Cornish coast in the grounds of Penwarne Manor is a collection of lovingly converted barns available to let. Five, Grade II listed stone cottages, each one sympathetically renovated in 2011 to an extremely high standard with all the modern amenities you would expect, whilst retaining the charm of a C18th century building.

Privately owned, Penwarne Manor nestles in the Portmellon valley with stunning views over the hamlet of Portmellon and the sea. Its idyllic, rural location is less than a mile from Mevagissey. The properties standalone in a tranquil setting offering a complete break from the hustle and bustle of modern life. Self-catering holiday accommodation is available all year round.

Penwarne Manor provides seclusion without isolation and the perfect spot for your holiday. Whether it's just the two of you, a family or you're a group of families holidaying together we offer something for everyone. It's high spec but in a relaxed and simple set-up, so those with small children need not worry.

The South Barn has 3 bedrooms, 2 with double beds, and the other with two single beds. There is also plenty of room for a cot. There is also a family bathroom and separate wet room with drench shower.

Penwarne Manor is flanked by beautiful woods, beaches, country lanes and coastal paths. The nearest beach is Portmellon, a family friendly cove which provides a safe environment for swimmers. It also has a local pub.

The village of Mevagissey is a 15 minute walk away. Featuring numerous shops and cafes. It is also one of the few working harbours in this part of Cornwall.

Within a 10 minute drive are Gorran Haven (another family friendly beach with some amenities and toilets), Hemmick Beach (beautiful and unspoilt) Vault (a bit more remote) and Caerhays Beach (also with some amenities and toilets).

For those who want to venture further afield there is the Roseland peninsula, an area of outstanding natural beauty.Other places to visit within an hour are St. Mawes, Padstow, Newquay, Wadebridge, Falmouth, Truro and Watergate Bay. We're ideally situated for exploring both the North and South coasts, each with something different to offer.

The Eden Project is nearby, around a 20 minute drive away. The Lost Gardens of Helligan (including the excellent Lobbs Farm Shop which sells a wide range of local, organic produce) is only a 10 minute drive away.

“Peaceful break”

Excellent high quality barn conversion at an amazingly good rate. Barn was wonderful, quiet, clean and we couldn't have wanted for anymore. Yet we got more with a fantastic welcome pack better than we've ever had and would have expected. It included a wonderful home baked cake plus more. The log burner was a great bonus in January. The barn is just a short walk (20 minute) to Mevagissey. We are looking to return again very soon.

How do damage deposits work?

If Vicky (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
