“Perfect North Shore Location”

Reviewed 9 Nov 2014

We loved staying at Blair's place during a week exploring the north shore. His unit is just steps from the Westin, in fact you will spend the night listening to the pleasant sounds of the Westin's water fountain. You also are just steps from public access to Anini Beach; a short walk down a well kept path will lead you to a perfect place for snorkeling. The unit itself is well appointed and we greatly appreciated having a grill right outside and the ability to make our own breakfasts and prepare picnic food. Thanks Blair for your quick response to emails, clear directions to the condo and easy access to the property.

“Most Wonderful!”

Reviewed 6 Jun 2014

This condo is really fantastic. It's large, solid, lovely, clean, cozy and comfortable. Pretty much every aspect of our stay was thought out so everything we could have possibly needed at any point in time was provided. From beach gear to towels & bedding to all utensils in the modern kitchen. Electronics, laundry, kitchen appliances, entertainment and wifi were all great. We loved the layout and architecture with the large, wood beam supports and it's decorated with a appreciation for it's Hawaiin locale! Located near loads of beaches and some resorts. Well situated in the lush, mountainous north.. Food and supplies nearby at the Princeville center, about a 4 minute drive and Hanalei center is about 10 minutes away. We drove to a different beach every day and the condo was a great home base for doing so. The place is among other similar condos but it felt private and noise from others wasn't an issue. The owner was excellent and timely in dealing with all aspects of our booking, stay and departure. We had a super time here and feel lucky to have found it! HIGHLY recommended. Enjoy!

“Fantastic”

Blair is a great person to liase with. Flexible, trustworthy, and takes pride in his property. I requested a few extra nights which were simple to organise. I spent approximately a month at this condo and it felt like my second home. I'll be back without question.

“Everything you need”

Reviewed 11 Dec 2013

This was the perfect spot for our 10-day getaway. We are very glad we chose to stay on the quiet, laid back north shore of this lovely island where you can enjoy fabulous beaches, stunning sunsets and a range of restaurants and activities. The condo is very close to Princeville - the heart of which is essentially a convenient little strip mall with a grocery store, a food court, a hardware store, a great little ice cream shop and a number of small shops. A few miles down the road is beautiful Hanalei Bay - a long half moon bay with the ocean and mountains - lovely! We rented stand-up paddleboards, hiked, snorkeled, swam, hiked and enjoyed fabulous meals here. The condo is immaculate and spacious, and the host has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable - extra beach towels, a cooler, game boards, a nice selection of music... Blair is also prompt and efficient with booking issues, so the accommodation part of our vacation was easy. Thanks Blair for sharing your little piece of paradise with us visitors!

“Great location, Roomy space, Great value”

Reviewed 29 Oct 2013

Great option for parties of 4 or more who don't mind the long drive to Princeville. Very clean & spacious. The master bedroom is located in the 2nd floor loft (warning, there is no door upstairs since it's an open loft-style). Full kitchen complete with fridge, oven, toaster oven, microwave, & coffee machine. The outside grill and patio chairs have seen better days, but we always ate out or brought take-out so we rarely sat outside. Full cable TV was greatly appreciated and it was great to be able to use the 2 beach chairs & snorkel sets located in the guest bedroom closet floor. Had problems with the washing machine since it only had hot water coming out. For snorklers or those who love a private beach, check out Sea Lodge Beach (also called Kaweonui Beach) which is only a 10 minute drive in the same Princeville compound. Located on Kaweonui Rd, look for the signs leading to "Sea Lodge" and park in the free guest parking spots at Building a. The short 1/2 mile hike to the beach is located in building a (look for a small sign). You'll love it!

“He Thinks of Everything!”

My wife and I stayed at Blair's Condo from February 11-25, 2013. We couldn't have had a better place to celebrate our 20th anniversary. The home was clean, comfortable and had pretty much everything we could have needed/wanted. It's clear that Blair cares about and takes the advice/suggestions from his visitors as we noted a couple of recent suggestions had been implemented. Blair is very prompt in his responses to any questions and also with returning the security deposit. We would recommend this location to anyone who wants a great vacation getaway.

“Wonderful vacation spot!”

Reviewed 31 Aug 2012

We just returned from staying a week in Blair's lovely island condo. It's located in a great spot near lots of activities and beaches on the North Shore... literally 2 minutes from Princeville Ranch which has horseback riding, zip lining, hiking, etc., and only a few minutes more to Hanalei where you can arrange for snorkeling gear, surf lessons and kayaks. The condo is clean, tastefully decorated and has everything you need and more. Blair is honest and helpful - we couldn't have asked for more. Great vacation!!

“A fantastic place to lay your head”

Reviewed 24 Aug 2012

Some friends of ours actually went a few days before us to the condo for their honeymoon and we joined them. It was a great place to stay! They were kind enough to give us the upstairs as they wanted their privacy, being newlyweds (the upstairs is just a large albeit very comfy loft bedroom with a private bath). Both beds in the unit were almost as comfy as my bed back home, and the ceiling fans above each made it very comfortable to sleep. Even the couches were supper comfy! I was tempted to nap on them a time or 2... the condo was well equipped with most everything we could have needed. I will warn you: if the downstairs bedroom slider is open along with other windows in the condo, the breeze coming through will cause the bedroom door to slam loudly! Freaked us out a few times. It was great having a BBQ, and not too far of a drive from anything. Like other reviewers have said, the short walk to a beach is not that great, quite steep, especially if you've had a drink or two and want to take a nice 'stroll to the beach'. Be warned! It's a bit of a hike back up. Take the advise other travelers have left in the guest book in the condo, there was some good stuff in there! I love that the condo was only minutes away from Hanalei, which is now one of our favorite towns ever!! My boyfriend ended up proposing on the night of the 4th, our last night there, on a bluff in the golf course right next to the condo complex, so of course this will forever be one of our favorite vacation spots. If and when we do go back to Kauai, I'm sure we would love to stay in Blair's condo again if he'll have us! He's great to work with, the $ transaction was super easy and he got the deposit back to us in a breeze. If you're looking for a nice, relaxing 'homebase' while you explore all the beauty and wonderful things Kauai has to offer, this is the perfect place for you. And don't let the rain scare you, it only lasts for a bit! And the chickens are great too! Just don't feed them!

“First Time Kauai”

Reviewed 21 Aug 2012

My husband and I went here on our honeymoon. We enjoyed our stay at the condo. There were pros and cons to the place. Cons: had to drive to most activities and beaches, not close to a beach, the one closest beach was a steep hike and not a great pay off of a beach, the drinking glasses in the cupboard didn't seem cleaned and smelled funny, the window views were of a parking lot of the Westin and the other was the other condos. Pros: the location of the condo was close driving distance to many activities beaches, the kitchen utilities were amazing and brand new, the amenities of the condo were very useful, the TV had tons of channels which made night movie watching great, new bathroom downstairs was super nice and big, the beds were comfy, and enjoyed the closeness of the Westin and used many things they offered. Overall: a good place to stay for an extended stay

“Way better than expected”

Reviewed 29 May 2012

Bliar, the owner, was very helpful and informative. He got back to me very quickly with any questions that I had. This was the first time that we used Vrbo and I would absolutely stay in this unit again. This unit had a fully loaded kitchen, a washer/dryer, 3 tv's and wireless internet. The only thing it didn't have was aC, but we really didn't need it. They have really good window covering and circulation with the unit. Also, you can't hear the neighbors at all and they can't hear you. Princeville (and this unit specifically) was a perfect location in Kauai. It was quick walk to the beach that no one else was ever at and super close to so many places to go see. Also, the pictures do not do the place justice. The condo made Kauai even more memorable. Thanks so much. Oh and the money transaction was super easy and fast.
