“Sometimes Things are as awesome as They Seem”
Just spent a week at this amazing view and I can't begin to say how great a value you are getting. The view is over 180 degrees...the sunsets are literally in your backyard. There is nothing like spending a day at the beach, coming back to the villa, hoping in the pool and watching the sun set before heading out for dinner. The bedrooms were spacious and so tastefully decorated. Each room had its own flatscreen (although who wants to watch TV in St. Maarten?!) and amazing bathrooms with skylights. The housekeeper was fantastic and cared for our group so well all week. I loved my week at the Villa and I will definitely be back! The theme of the vacation for the week "Worth Every Penny!"
“Incredible ! Definiately five star 5* Accomdations”
This villa is incredible. It exceeded my expectations. It was immaculate. It is beautiful inside and out. All three of the bedrooms are very spacious with their own large, modern bathrooms. The kitchen is also large for those who want to cook inside, plus there is a new BBQ on the patio, with a table beside. The grocery store and numerous restaurants are within walking distance. The panoramic view was spectacular. You can watch the boats go by all day and evening, and listen to the sound of the surf, just below. There is lots of sun or shade, whichever you prefer, from morning until night on the lovely patio. I would highly recommend this villa. It's first class accommodation in every way. I/we hope to spend more time at this villa next year. We loved it.
I must say that I rarely write reviews online but felt that I had to in this case. The photo's displayed on this website don't do a great job in showing the real beauty and condition of this Villa! It totally exceeded our expectations. We were a group of six professionals using this Villa as a stop off before starting a two week yearly sailing trip. Our group has stayed in many high end houses and hotels world wide. We're always nervous booking online but we were totally shocked when we open the front door of this Villa. The renovations completed were top quality and the entire villa was spotless. We had multiple visits by the caretaker Marion making sure that our needs were met and that the unit remained prestine. This unit is completely set up with all the modern comforts of home. It lacks nothing! The appliances, fixtures, furniture, beds and linens are high end! Although fully air conditioned, it's hardly necessary. Most nights we fell asleep with the sounds of crashing waves and woke up to the native birds on the pool side ledge. My only concern was getting my wife to leave and board a much smaller sail boat. Thanks to Michelle for making booking this unit a breeze and providing us with quality directions and comments about area restaurants etc. I highly recommend this Villa! We will certainly be back.
“The Perfect Getaway”
This was my family's second stay at Villa Libre. We were there last year, prior to the renovation and just returned home after visiting the newly remodeled villa. The moment we walked in the door, we were amazed. Love the spacious new kitchen and the very open floor plan as well as the scenic views from every seat in the living room as well as master bedroom. We spent most of our days lounging on the patio by and in the pool and didn't even feel the need to leave the villa except for going to the market to get food to cook at the villa, as well as the occasional dinings out. We're already making plans to return again next year.
“"Wonderful week in St Maarten"”
My wife and I travelled to St Maarten with another couple. It was our first visit to this truly wonderful island. the other couple we travelled with were seasoned vsitors and really knew their way around. We enjoyed a specatular new beach destination every day, each was magnificent, all a little different, and every one felt like a new adventure. The hospitality of the locals most top notch and the food delicious. We toured a delicious selection of restaurants at night, some were a bit fancy, others not so much but in each instance the food was delicious. Loved the island. Our Villa was perfect, great location, close to airport and a good jumping off point for our daily travels. The Villa is large, clean, and comfortable. each bedroom is quite large, great bed, and most importantly each bedroom has its own bathroom. The weather was perfect so we didn't spend much time inside but I liked the living room with it's white painted high vaulted ceiling. Felt very tropical. The highlight is the back private outdoor area with it's own pool, outside room with a dining table, line-up of chaise lounges, and the most spectacular ocean views you can imagine. This villa is the last or end unit in the small gated community of Villa's so there is an un-obstructed view that is breathtaking, particularily at night when the sun is setting. My favourite meal was actulaly in the villa. We went to a local grocery store, picked up a selection of meats and cheeses and a baguette, and enjoyed that with a chilled bottle of sauvignon blanc while watching the sun set and a cruise ship slowly move by. the only downside was I stubbed and broke my toe at one of the beaches. Never-the-less we'll be back to St Maarten and this villa!!
