“Lovely well equiped cottage centrally situated so you can visit”

Reviewed 15 May 2012

The cottage was spacious and had everything we could need. It was clean and well looked after and felt like a real home from home. The village has just about every amenity you could wish for. It's also really easy to get to the moors, the coast and the Howardian Hills so there's definately no shortage of places to visit and walks galore.

“An excellent, spacious, clean and well equipped cottage”

We have stayed at Howe End on several occasions and always found it to be clean and well equipped. Kirkbymoorside is a lovely town with many facilities including good pubs, restaurants and shops.

“Lovely family cottage”

Reviewed 20 Jan 2012

We really enjoyed our stay here. Our three boys slept in the attcic room which was great for space and they loved it. The master bedroom is very cosy and nicely furnished. The only thing we found was there wasn't much space for the boys to play downstairs. The kitchen was well equipped and had a lovely family sized table for meals. This was our first visit to this area and we had a great New Year week, the village was very friendly and festive. I managed to squeeze in a facial and a haircut while we were staying and both were fab! We will definitely be returning at some point. Overall a lovely cottage and a great family New Year break.

“A wonderful cottage in a lovely location.”

Our family: two adults/two children with Grandma and Grandad, visted this cottage and found it to be spotlessly clean, with all the facilities you could ask for in a self catering property. The location was ideal, in a pleasant village and accessible to the surrounding area such as York. I will certainly visit again!

“A lovely stay in a lovely home”

Had a very pleasant stay in the house, very nicely appointed, provided at short notice. It was -20 out but nice and warm in. It was just what the team needed. I imagine it would made a great base for a holiday.

“We enjoyed our stay tremendously”

The cottage was well located near to all the places we wanted to visit. With all the amenities on your doorstep but near the countryside and the coast. Howe End is well equiped and spotlessly clean and very much a home from home.

“Well appointed cottage in Kirbymoorside”

Reviewed 13 Aug 2011

Booking went very smoothly with last minute queries dealt with efficiently. Cottage felt very warm and welcoming when we arrived. Kitchen/diner ideal size for our extended family (3 generations) and living room comfortable in evening. Bedrooms well appointed. Kirbymoorside ideally placed for walks in N Yorks Moors and close enough to coast for change of scenery. Cottage in quiet street two minute walk from town centre which has good array of shops and choice of pubs for eating out. There is park close by for children.

“A gem of a place to stay..”

This beautifully decorated and modernised cottage is very well equipped and thoughtfully provides everything you could possibly need. Its high walled garden offers total tranquillity and utter seclusion It is a short stroll from the centre of Kirkbymoorside offering many amenities - local shops providing home grown produce and home made goodies, cafes restaurants library and take-aways and a local bus service -to name but a few. There are many places of interest to visit in the surrounding and the beautiful Yorkshire country side is within easy reach.A gem of a place!!

“The best place to stay in Yorkshire”

Reviewed 5 Aug 2011

The home was exeptionally clean throughtout, with plenty of room for a nice relaxing holiday. It is situated in a nice peacefull village where you are not to far from places situated on the East coast such as Whitby and Scarborough other attractions are the North Yorkshire steam railway,Flamingoland and many more. The cottage has a private rear garden with a seating area, there are spaces for your car on the road outside the cottage. The sleeping areas are very spacious and well set out. If you dont want to travel around there is no reason to leave the village as there are shops for provisions and a few local peacefull pubs that allow kids in. 5 Howe End Kirbymoorside is an absolute treat for a holiday.

“A lovely very well equipped and comfortable cottage”

Reviewed 3 Aug 2011

We enjoyed a week here with 4 generations of our family. We found the cottage very well equipped, with lots of toys for the toddler and family games etc for us all. The furnishings and linens etc were all of very good quality and the cottage was clean and very comfortable. The town and surrounding area had lots to interest us. the only slight hitch was a steep staircase which great grandma found a bit hard to climb - but she managed! All in all a great holiday and very good value.
