“This place was exactly as described and better!”
My girlfriend and I stayed at Casa Tori for 3 nights in May and found it to be a comfortable, conveniently located apartment with all the amenities we needed to make our stay perfect. The owners, Marcello and Raffaella Tori, were the most delightful people and made us feel right at home from the moment we entered the apartment. As others have said you need to keep in mind that the apartment is on the third floor (no elevator) but it is an easy walk up as the stairs are wide with landings. The apartment itself is on two levels with a large bedroom and bathroom on the first floor with a washing machine and a good-sized shower. There is ample closet space. Upstairs is a large open kitchen with a large dining room table that seats at least 6. The view from the window of the rooftops is really nice t sunset. Marcello and Raffaella are great hosts. They had basic items stocked in the apartment for us and there are 2 little markets and a small grocery store a block away. We were able to cook a great dinner and have breakfast every morning. We loved the location, it was excellent. Everything we wanted so see and do was within a manageable walking distance. This was perfect for our first stay in Bologna and when we come back, we will hope to stay there again!
“Our cozy and comfortable apartment in Bologna”
This apartment was wonderful! My wife and I came to Bologna for a week to visit our daughter who is studying at the University. There is plenty of room because it is on two floors.(and has 2 bathrooms) I could get up early and have my cup of expresso while my wife slept in. We were able to cook dinner and entertain a couple of nights because of the nicely laid out kitchen and living area. Everything was provided in kitchen like it was your own.(cooking utensils) The weather was cold and rainy the week we were there, but the apartment was warm and a welcome respite from the damp cold. Raffaella as very responsive from our first contact via the internet. She could not have been nicer to deal with. All went very smoothly from check-in to our departure. Rafaella has a nice manual which addresses the details of living in the apartment. We found helpful such as when it came time to operate the washing machine. Rafaella also stocks the apartment with some food supplies that got us through the first few days while we were getting oriented to the city and recovering from jet-lag. Casatori is conveniently located a short walk to the train station and also the city center. There is a small grocery store directly across the street, as well as a larger one a block and 1/2 away. As Bologna is centrally located in Italy, it was easy to do day trips by train to nearby cities such as Venice and Florence. The only negative that we experienced was from the location indicated on the Flipkey site. It shows the location of the apartment East of the city center, where in reality, the apartment is located NW of the city center. If I were using the site again, I would cross reference the address on Google maps. My wife, daughter and I all felt the best part of our trip to Italy was being able to cook, eat, catch up and relax in the comfort of Casitori- our home away from home. What more can be said?
“Really well located”
On March 6th 2013, we arrived at Bologna by plane for a 3 days stay. Raffaella had given us good information before our arrival so we found easily the place. And her good advices helped us also while in Italy. The apartment was really well equipped. For the price of an hotel room, you can enjoy a home. We really loved Bologna and Casatori apartment. Not even the rain could stop us from visiting because there are 52km of arcades in town. A town where you always feel secured.
Spent four nights in Bologna mostly to sample the culinary delights. Both Raffaella and Marcello were at the apartment to meet us with a ready smile and a well stocked kitchen. The house was comfortable and contained all the amenities we would have wished for. The location is great ..within walking distance to everything in the city and the station. Highly recommended.
“Excellent Location and very comfortable”
My family and I rented Casatori for four days. Rafaella made us really welcome. We had been travelling for three weeks by the time we got to Bologna so a comfortable apartment was very welcome by then. Casatori is in a great location for sightseeing round Bologna, and easy to get to from the railway station. There is a well equipped kitchen and a washing machine for those to whom these things matter! The apartment is on two levels, with a bedroom and bathroom on the lower level, and living and kitchen on the upper level. My son slept on the sofa bed in the living room and absolutely loved it. Casatori is on the second floor of an apartment building so there are stairs to carry cases up, but it's worth the effort. I would recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Bologna.
“Wonderful apartment in a wonderful city!”
My fiance and I visited Bologna for 3 days in april 2011. We fell in love in the city, the food and the people... Casatori proved an excellent choice: Spacious, airy, fully equiped and full of character! The apartment is centrally located, everything is within walking distance, but also very quiet as it is facing a backyard. The owners gave us a fabulous welcome, meeting us at the train station and driving us to the apartment. They even set us up with some essential supplies as we arrived on Easter Sunday and all the shops were closed. How thoughtful! Rafaella even arranged a private cooking class with us at the apartment. Thank you Rafaella & Marcello! We are definitely coming back...
