This luxurious self-catering cottage set on the Island of Bernera, connected to the Isle of Lewis by road bridge, offers both a tranquil retreat and an opportunity to experience and explore the beauty of the Outer Hebrides.
The cottage offers a large decking area with stunning views across Loch Gael. Comfortably accommodating up to 5 guests (+ baby), all modern needs are provided to an exceptionally high standard. All village amenities - shop, post office, filling station - are within easy walking distance.

The Clean Air and Stunning Surroundings of the Western Isles

The local area offers the beautiful Bostadh beach and Iron Age Fort, some great fishing Lochs (including Loch Gael on the doorstep of Lochan View Cottage) and ample opportunity to seek out the local wildlife.
The most northerly of the Outer Hebrides and the largest, The Isle of Lewis is the most welcoming of places. Warm hospitality is just as embedded as the beautiful beaches, the wildlife, the plant life, the many historical sites and the wonderfully clean air.
Stornoway is a picturesque 30 minute drive away and surprises most first time visitors with its range of facilities and vibrant social scene, host of shops, pubs, restaurants and regular events.
Lewis is home to many world famous historical sites. As well as the Iron Age Fort, visit the breathtaking Neolithic Callanish Standing Stones.
For the more adventurous, sea kayaking, climbing, sailing and surfing are a few of the many adventure activities available on the island. The rocky reefs, beautiful beaches and cliffs that characterise the Lewis Coastline help to create some of the best surfing conditions in Europe.
The Western Isles is home to an abundance of impressive wildlife and can boast Golden Eagles, Dolphins, Otters and Seals amongst its residents. You may even spot a whale.
