“Comfortable apartment in excellent location”
We stayed here for 5 nights recently. After a warm welcome from Lucia who kindly let us leave our luggage in the apartment after our early morning arrival in Rome we went for a stroll and within no time found ourselves in the impressive St Peter's Square. Very handy location for the Vatican and close to trains and buses to get to all parts of Rome. Some nice restaurants and excellent gelato nearby. Good aircon for the hot Rome days in late June, comfortable beds and lovely rooftop views. Lucia was excellent to deal with from start to finish and we had a wonderful stay in Rome with this great home base.
The apartment was located in a fabulous spot, the view from the bedroom and the roof spectacular showing wonderful views of St Peter's Basilica and Rome. The apartment itself was amazing well equipped with everything you need. Just nearby the 64 bus took you to all parts of Rome you needed, great value too.Lucia was extremely professional, so helpful and arranged our transfer to the airport home with excellent communication from my initial booking throughout.I would definitely come back when we are next in Rome as it was faultless. Thanks again from all of us.
We were a family of 6 and were very comfortable in the apartment. Great location and Lucia super helpful!! Very positive experience.
We went to Rome to visit our daughter who was living there. We took our 18yr old son with us. Everything was just as Lucia had promised. The arranged driver met us at the airport, and someone at the apartment to let us in and show us around. The apartment was clean and beautiful, just as the pictures had shown. It was convenient to lots of sights. The apartment made our family trip, perfect. Thank You for being so helpful
Great apartment - the main picture shows the view from one of the bedrooms, actually, from the bed I slept in. Extremely clean and well equipped, including kitchen appliances. Five minutes by foot to reach San Pietro and 3 minites to reach the closest bus station and get one bus to Piazza Republica, for example. Nice neighborhood - some cafes and small food markets are within short walking distance, and also one large supermarket is around 10 minutes away by foot. The taxi airport service which the owner offers is very comfortable and at reasonable price in comparison with public transportation, especially when travellers are more than one. Strongly recommended place which will make your stay in Rome even more pleasant.
We used this apartment when we were in Rome in April 2015, it was everything and more than we expected, spotless clean, very comfortable beds in fact everything was excellent, Lucia was there to meet and greet us and she showed us around the apartment, told us where the supermarket was so we could get in some supplies, it was in a nice quiet area so you were guaranteed a good nights sleep, but also just a few minutes from the Vatican and St Peters, the kitchen had everything you would ever need and also stocked with tea bags and coffee, it was great having two bathrooms which were spotless and plenty of lovely towels, there were a few restaurants in the vicinity of the apartment, but we went down to traestevre at night which was full of life etc and only cost us 10 euro in the taxi, we had a fantastic time in Rome and I would highly recommend this apartment.
“Amazing apartment with a wonderful host”
We travelled in a group of four to Europe and stayed at apartments throughout. This, by far, was the best apartment. Lucia was fabulous from the first time I emailed her. She is lovely and genuine and it was such a pleasure to meet her. The apartment is in such a great location – less than ten minutes walk to St Peter’s. This made it easy for us to wake up early, walk down and beat the crowds (highly recommend a climb up the cupola for great views if you can do it). The area around the apartment is great and felt safe. The grocery store is a five minute walk away. The kitchen is so well equipped and it was a pleasure to cook some of our meals at home. Lucia even left us a very thoughtful tray of goodies on arrival. The rest of the apartment is also really amazing – beautiful bedrooms (very good linens and towels) and two bathrooms, great living room and we really liked the views from the windows (you can also climb up to the rooftop for more great views). Wifi is good and the showers are fine. We really appreciated the washing machine. There is an elevator up to the apartment and the security of the apartment is very good. Lucia is able to organise a private car to pick up and drop off to the airport and we found this service very helpful and value for money. Overall an excellent stay and we will definitely come back to stay if we’re lucky enough to vi
“Very chic Roman apartment.”
This is our favourite apartment in Rome, rich, tasteful, spotless, spacious, comfortable, not at all expensive, considering the location, the hotel charges in this area is much much more, for less space, less privacy. This is in a quiet neighbourhood, yet within 4-5 minutes walk to the Vatican. The 64 bus will take you down to the Corso, and las stop is the Termini, so very convenient. It is also 4 mins from Statzione San Pietro, which will take you to the Leonardo da Vinci airport. Lucia recommends a car service that will pick you up at the airport, for very reasonable rate. Great service. Since our last stay, the apt had been completely renovated and now has 2 full bathrooms . There is a large bedroom with a king size bed, very spacious room, the second is a smaller bed room, with twin beds. This room opens out to a courtyard and a view of St. Peter's dome, all lit up at night. This is a "Room With a View" indeed. This is a place for long stay, live like a Roman, a home away from home. I believe it used to be a minimum stay of 4 nights, because the apartment is professionally cleaned after every clients departure. I do not know if the policy has changed. Please do bring slippers, as grit from shoes would mark the beautiful tile floors. The lady owner, Lucia , is very gracious, and will explain things . There are all sorts of information in pamphlets, and maps to show where things are. There are 4 very good restaurants within 3 minutes walk. And a great bar L'Incontro .So you do not have bto cook, even tho the kitchen is fully equipped. I had never been to an apartment where there are several kinds of cookies, teas, condiments, honey, jams, etc to welcome your stay. This apt. Is on the 5 th or top floor, there is an charming old fashioned elevator that works very well, is always well maintained, which speaks very well for the building, mostly privately owned apartments. Security is tops. There is a roof top for great view of the city and where one can hang out laundry to dry, especially for us long stay customers. I highly recommend this apartment. The lady always meet you at the apartment on your arrival.
One of the better apartments we have rented. Super clean, recently renovated, good wifi and two bathrooms (important when traveling with older teenagers). Location was about 5 minutes from the Vatican. We would walk each day the various main attractions in the city centre (25 to 30 min walk but there is transit if you want it) and usually cab back at night (9 Euros). Owner is very helpful and easy to work with. We had a late flight out on the last day and she allowed us to use the apartment until we had to leave since no one else had booked for that night. She even booked us a cab to the airport (45 Euros) which was nicer and slightly cheaper than the city cab we took to get to the apartment when we arrived. Luggage storage was also available. Grocery store is a 5 min walk. We would stay there again.
“Very comfortable stay for family of five.”
Our family of five (including children ages 22, 18 and 16 recently traveled to Rome and had reserved “Residenza Nicolo’“ ahead of time for a five-night stay. Lucia had arranged for a taxi driver to meet us at the airport and it was very helpful to have someone there to greet us after a long travel day. Lucia met us at the apartment and oriented us to the apartment. The apartment worked well for us as the second bedroom had twin beds and the couch in the living room pulled out into a bed. There were two bathrooms which was a nice surprise as the apartment had only recently been upgraded to included two bathrooms as well as a new mattress in the master bedroom (very comfortable.) Lucia had provided several snacks as well as coffee and tea which was a nice added touch. Everything was immaculately clean. From one of the bedroom windows we could see the Vatican and the days that we had our Vatican tours it was a short walk to the Vatican. Every day we also went into the heart of Rome and usually walked (although buses are available close to the apartment.) We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Rome and enjoyed having this wonderful apartment to come back to each evening. I would recommend this apartment without hesitation.
