“Perfect Getaway”

Reviewed 30 Jun 2017

Super cute, well maintained, clean cottage with everything you need! Property is quiet and relaxing with surrounding woods - just what we wanted. Private deck on the back and fun rocking chairs on the covered front porch. The hummingbirds put on quite a show! Amazing to be able to go only 1/4 mile down the road and get onto Nachez Trace Parkway to ride our bikes. Cycler's Rest is right! Robin is on the premises and attentive to anything you need, but otherwise you will never see or hear her. Peanut and Pearl (the two resident dogs) were very cute and friendly. Leiper's Fork and Franklin were short drives away, and we found Franklin to be a quaint cute town with some charm and great restaurants and coffee. It was a great recharge for us and we will be returning. Would highly recommend for any small cycling group - you won't find a better way to get to and ride the Trace from your lodging - we will be recommending this to all our cyclist friends.

Response from the owner Thank you so much for the awesome review and for staying with us! It was truly our pleasure. Thank you also for recommending Cycler's Rest to other cyclists. Come back soon! Blessings, Robin, Peanut, and Pearl

Peace and tranquility~we stayed in the cottage for five days of rest and relaxation. Robin and Jeff are gracious hosts, and their dogs became our buddies. The cottage is immaculate and comfortable, and the surrounding countryside is absolutely gorgeous. Robin kindly recommended places she thought we might enjoy visiting, and all her suggestions turned out to be winners. The cottage is next to the owner's residence, but still feels very private. Making arrangements for the rental was quite simple. If the cottage is available when we return to the area, we will definitely stay here again!

“Cyclers Rest is the perfect Natchez Trace cyclist base”

Reviewed 12 Sep 2013

If you are looking for a place to use as a base to ride the Natchez Trace from, this is it. You can ride right from the cabin to the trace and have all the riding you want from there. The Jones, avid cyclists themselves, are the perfect cycling hosts able to share their own experience cycling in the area with you. They even have a repair stand available. The cabin is immaculate and has a washer & dryer so you can wash those cycling shorts and jersey. It's decorated with cycling related decorations and is very roomy. I'd highly recommend staying here.

“Awesome Get away!”

Reviewed 12 Aug 2013

In early august, I spent 4 wonderful days at the Cycler's Rest in Leiper's Fork. Robin and Jeff are very gracious hosts. I am a songwriter, guitarist and keyboard player and wanted to come to Leiper's Fork to enjoy the awesome scenery and to write some songs. My goals were accomplished! I brought with me a small studio setup and used the kitchen table for the equipment. The ambience in the main living area was great with the vaulted ceilings and the hardwood floors. I got to play some of my original music at Puckett's in Leiper's Fork to a crowd of about 70 people on a Thursday night during Open Mic. night. The best approach is to sign up around 4:30 p.m. because the list is closed out very quickly. The house was very clean and the air conditioning was one when I arrived. The kitchen setup was perfect and I prepared many of my meals at the house. Robin and Jeff, I will be seeing you again soon! Thanks so much for the awesome experience.

“If you enjoy access both road riding and mtb trails... Stay at”

I have mixed feelings as I write this review for Cycler's Rest partly, for selfish reasons. Jeff and Robin have a hidden gem for those who like peace and quiet as well as great riding opportunities. Being completely honest I want to have the place all to myself! My wife and I, along with our two college aged daughters, spent a week with them in June and all of us had a wonderful time. We are are avid riders but our girls are not. No problem, there was something for all of us every day. Franklin or Nashville are an easy drive plus Leiper's Fork is basically right down the road. As far as cycling, th Natchez Trace is within a few hundred yards of the drive way and riding it is a must. The road surface is great and traffic is minimal with decent elevation gain. I loaded up the mtb and drove to N Georgia and rode some of the Pinhoti trail network as well as Raccoon Mtn near Chatanooga. You don't have to drive that far due to the fact there are great trails nearer. As far as the accomodations, great! Jeff and Robin are wonderful hosts and you will not go wrong spending time at their place...

“Wonderful accommodation, lovely people and gorgeous dogs”

Reviewed 5 Aug 2013

We stayed here for 5 days so my wife could have treatment on her eyes. It was the perfect place for rest after our long flights from australia. The cabin was exceptionally comfortable, Robin and Jeff were very friendly and helpful and the 3 dogs, Addie, Felony and Peanut, provided us with entertainment and much needed exercise.

“Loved it!”

We stayed here on our honeymoon and had a very nice stay. Jeff and Robin were very nice and accomodating. And even though their house was very close to the cabin, we felt we had a private stay. We loved the back woods country area and was very nice after visiting Nashville. Thanks Jeff and Robin for the nice stay and warm welcome.

“Made me want to move to the country!”

My husband and I were traveling from OK to Va so the Nashville area was a perfect halfway point for a good nights rest. We specifically looked for a place like this and we're so glad that we found it! The owners really take care of it and have decorated it well. I hope we're in their neck of the woods again so we can pay another visit.

“A quaint cottage with all that you will need.”

Reviewed 21 Mar 2013

My husband and I chose Cycler's Rest as our honeymoon destination. The price was very reasonable and it was only about an hour or so from where we lived. A great get-away for us! The cottage had all that we needed. The roads were great for bicycle riding and the small community of Leiper's Fork was not far away. Robin was the perfect hostess offering anything that we might have forgotten. If you are looking for a quiet place to relax, you just found it! Rob & Janice
