“Perfect location to access the east side of Glacier.”
We stayed in the Two Medicine Suite with Leslie and Carl and it was a very nice place to stay. We were visiting the east side of Glacier National Park, and this lodge was perfectly positioned to visit all three entrances on the east side, about 10 minutes from Two Medicine and a little over an hour to St. Mary and Many Glacier. The room was well appointed and the bed was very comfortable.
“A Piece Of Heaven In A Beautiful Place”
If you're wondering where to stay while exploring Glacier National Park, look no more. 3 national parks & 11 different pillows & without knowing it, I saved the best for last. If you see only one more place in the world, make it GNP and if you're looking for the perfect place to stay, Lone Elk Lodge is the answer. I had originally thought that I would stay here to tour the East side of the park and then move to the Columbia Falls area so see the West side but after 3 days of exploring, I realized that my 'Two Medicine' studio was perfect for the whole park. I was able to see all the way to The Prince of Wales Hotel on the East side and easily tour the West side returning via The Going To The Sun Road over 5 days filled with beauty, wildlife & the nicest people in the world. At the top of this list are the owners, Leslie & Carl Haggar. They were gracious, welcoming and very knowledgeable about the Park & the best ways to get around. The care & love they put into their lodge is evident from the moment you enter the driveway. The grounds are beautiful and even have a lovely swing built for two. The unit I stayed in was perfect. It was clean, comfortable & fully supplied with all one could want - coffee, Internet, complete kitchen & tons of plush towels. Of course you could stay at one of the beautiful historic hotels within the Park (and I did in Yellowstone & Grand Tetons) but, in my humble opinion, Lone Elk was a better fit - pricing, centrally located, handicap accessibility, quality accommodations, etc. I have a new favorite place to visit & stay and new friends for life. Mahalo for a beautiful end of an amazing month & soul journey thru Wyoming & Montana.
“Living in a Postcard”
Lone Elk is the best place we stayed during our 16-day adventure to Wyoming and Montana from our home state of North Carolina. Our room was comfortable and home-like. The kitchen was better than mine at home. The hosts were friendly and accommodating. The view was exquisite. I'd go back in a heartbeat and recommend this stay to anyone.
“A wonderful get-away”
We have never been in a place that was better equipped! Everything one could need was provided. And the decor was exceptional, the furniture, including the bed, comfortable. All in all, it was a wonderful stay that we wished could have been longer;.
“A Perfect Place”
We stayed with here with our children and their spouses. We had two different units. The place was wonderfully clean and comfortable. The view out the window was gorgeous and Carl and Leslie were so friendly, accommodating and helpful with directions, suggestions and great cookies. This was our first trip to Montana and we will definitely come back and stay here again.
