“Great value!”

Reviewed 24 Mar 2014

We had a very nice and relaxing time at this very private north shore rental. We were steps from a quiet beach and across the street from Foodland and tasty local eateries. Aaron had everything we needed on hand and was more than accommodating. My wife and I will definitely return!

“We are back again!”

Reviewed 5 Jan 2014

Location and quality, that is what this property is about and why it has drawn us back for the fourth time from the UK for another 2 month stay. A private, secluded and secure position, only 2 minutes walk to a beautiful beach, on the bike path, walking distance to Foodland as well as some exceptional food trucks, and a short cycle to all the best the North Shore has to offer. The property is uniquely designed, a standout from other rentals. Well maintained and spotlessly clean, it has traditional Hawaiian and Indonesian furniture and furnishings, which blend with state of the art technology and appliances. The owners have constantly upgraded the property on each of our visits, maintaining a high standard of comfort and equipment. From a Bose home theatre system, to wi-fi and blue tooth audio system. We have not found anywhere to beat it. The owners, Anna and aaron, are the most experienced and obliging homeowners, you might just want to take them home to be your neighbours! Even for frequent visitors like us they keep on top of new places to visit, eat and explore. You will be drawn back, again and again, that's the risk you take once you've been.

“Great Location”

Wonderful Stay Ke Iki Beach - it is the best place on Island. Three weeks holiday - we had a lovely time. A wonderful cottage, decorated beautifully and maintained, it was equipped with everything you could possibly need for a wonderful vacation. The location was great - an easy walk to the beach and a nice quiet street. We look forward to coming back here in the future. Thanks once again for everything. Anna and aaron were also wonderful.

“Location! Location! Location!”

This was the perfect place for us to stay while visiting the North Shore for a wedding on the Pipeline (less than a mile). The location was perfect for us. Being almost directly between Haleiwa and Turtle Bay. A short walk or bike ride to Sharks Cove for snorkeling, The Pipeline and Sunset Beach, Wiamea Beach and Falls, and even groceries from Foodland. It truly is an ideal location on the North Shore. The cottage was very clean, safe, and comfortable. The aC was a big plus (none of the other wedding guests had it where they stayed). Anna and aaron were perfect and have thought of every detail. Thank you!

“Just like home”

Reviewed 27 Sep 2013

We recently stayed a week at anna and aaron's cottage and can't wait to return! The cottage is just as described. It was so clean and probably the best stocked place we have ever stayed. Everything was first class. We felt very safe in the gated community. It is convenient to the best surfing beaches in the world. The beach around the corner was so private and relaxing. A grocery store is in walking distance and the town of Halewai is just a few minutes drive. Aaron gave us tips on where to eat and we enjoyed all of his suggestions. We would highly recommend this piece of paradise.

“Perfectly Private Paradise”

Reviewed 3 Jun 2013

This was my fifth trip to Oahu and second time staying at this rental house. I will never stay at a hotel on Oahu again. This house has it all. It is the perfect size for 1-4 people. It has all of the amenities of home: kitchen items, beach chairs, bicycles, and so on, with an absolutely breathtaking beach in your front yard. I am not a fan of overcrowded/touristy areas. This location is ideal for those who desire a bit more space and privacy, however, you are still within driving distance of all of the major tourist spots. The unit is extremely well maintained and clean, which ranks high in importance to me. The folks that own/maintain the home couldn't be any friendlier or accommodating. They are extremely quick to respond if any issues should arise (I accidentally locked us out of the house)or if you have any questions what-so-ever. I highly recommend this house and will definitely book it again on future visits to the North Shore.

“Our Ultimate stay at the North Shore!!!”

Reviewed 24 May 2013

This cottage with it's loft, was perfect for our needs. It was very tranquil and relaxing for us, it exceeded our expectations. There were so many amenities: HD TV, washer/ dryer, hair dryer, the kitchen had many staples you would need. They had bikes, chairs to take to the beach, beach towels, and some snorkeling equipment, just to name a few of the bonuses. Oh, did I forget to mention the beach! With it's spectacular sunsets (almost every night) is a short stroll away. After those sunsets we would return to our cottage and BBQ our dinner from our deck. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Aaron and anna were closely available for advice and directions about the North Shore. We thank you immensely!!!

“Relaxing stay”

Reviewed 26 Apr 2013

We thoroughly enjoyed the comfortable furnishings and warm yet fresh and clean decor, plush bathroom towels and lovely shower/jetted tub combo, well-stocked kitchen, and general space and brightness of this rental. Aaron and anna have really provided so many details that helped us decide to choose this space--from the high quality BBQ to having beach cruiser bicycles available for our use at any time of day (and we used them on the bike path every day), beach towels, and even a pair of flippers available for our day of snorkeling at Shark's cove--the setup was great for our outdoor ventures. We were pleased to be able to walk a mere 2-3 minutes to a dazzling beach with glorious sand that provided great relief to my husband's feet that had recently undergone serious reconstructive surgery, and also a volcanic reef to wander about, was certainly a highlight! The only things that were less than perfect may not affect everyone else's stay: lots of noise from landscaping and construction on this private street, and not the best view of neighbor's lots across the way when the curtains were open to let in sunshine and blue skies. But hey, with the ocean so close, it's easy to get those views by just throwing on the flip-flops and stepping outside the door! We made most of our meals at home and appreciated the availability of spices and olive oil, but also found delicious treats on the two occasions we went out. Oh, and though we never met anna, Aaron was always most friendly and offered ideas for things to do, but was never intrusive. We'd definitely recommend this spot to others...in fact, we already have!

Response from the owner Excellent detailed review, thank you! Our neighbor next door had his main sewar line collapse which needed to be replaced in reference to the "construction". So their was activity for a day next door due to the emergency nature of the issue. Currently their is a vacant lot in front of us which had left over debris from our neighbors construction. It has since been cleaned up. We have also landscaped all the way down that property line with palms which is quite appealing now. I'm not sure what to say in regards to "landscaping" noise. All of our neighbors have to mow their yards about every 10 days, so any general maintenance in the neighborhood should be expected.

“Hawaiian Retreat!!!”

Reviewed 23 Feb 2013

Aloha Wonderful and comfortable home nestled on the North Shore of Oahu. Fully equiped with everything you would ever need from beach toys to bicycles to household supplies. Close to the most beautiful and private beaches on Oahu. We rode the bikes to Pipeline and Sunset Beach, hiked to Waimea Falls and relaxed on the beaches. Great place to vacation and enjoy the real Hawaii. Mahalo, Aaron and anna, for being great hosts and providing information on local attractions and activities.

“North Shore experience!!!”

Reviewed 8 Feb 2013

For the real deal you must stay here! The owner gave us everything you could possibly want on our 6 night stay including a portable cot and mobile phone which came in very handy with us being from australia but having friends on the island. The private, 1 bedroom loft home with large bathroom was immaculate, having a very well equipped kitchen that included everything you would use in your own home. The location was perfect, central to the North Shore, with bikes to cruise the paths and hit the surf for the early. An experience unique to the North Shore. We were told all the best places to eat and any questions we had were answered with "local knowledge". My wife, 2 1/2 year old boy, 6 month old daughter and I highly recommend Ke Iki Beach Hale.
