“Great place for our business retreat”

Reviewed 5 Nov 2012

This house was the perfect size for our staff of 8 for our annual staff retreat. The rooms were comfortable. The size of the dining room table was great for our meetings. We enjoyed quiet time sitting on the dock by the water and on the deck. We also learned the art of crabbing as well. We would definitely rent again for future staff retreats.

Response from the owner I am so glad that your time was so pleasant. We all think that Grandview is spiritually rejeuvenating! Please come again.

“5 out of 5”

I spent a long weekend at the main house, and it was easily the best weekend of the summer! The location is phenomenal. The house sits on large stretch of beautiful waterfront property. The views from the piers and the pool are exquisite. As for the house itself, we couldn't have asked for more. It is spacious, clean, and has all of the amenities you could want. I must also mention that it was a breeze and a pleasure working with the folks at Grandview. They are incredibly responsive, and make a great effort to ensure that you enjoy your stay.

Response from the owner Thank you so much. We have wonderful guest who care for Grandview as if it were their's That is another part that makes Grandview so special.

“Scenic, peaceful, nature's treat!”

10 yrs ago we stayed for a few days at a Grandview cottage while exploring the Eastern Shore. We've been back every yr bringing family & friends, now enjoying the entire estate.Love crabbing, fishing, boating &relaxing; in the pool.My favorite place is the dock: watching waterman, birds, fish, the sun go down as the moon comes up. Heaven!

Response from the owner Thank you so much. We love having you come back and appreciate how well you take care of Grandview while you are there. We truly have special people come and stay.

“A great time was had by all!”

Reviewed 29 Jun 2011

Grandview is a perfect place to bring a large family for a fun-packed vacation. The main house and the cottages are well stocked for anything a family might want to use to cook and be comfortable. The pool is large enough for laps and accommodated 5 kids, 5 seniors and 10 adults. There is a boat house with row boats and we had great fun rowing. There are docks where we set out crab pots and collected quite a few crabs. We brought along a kayak and sail boat and took turns using them as well. It's a great place to ride bikes and take long walks. The nearby towns are fun to visit as well. We had such a great time, we decided to stay an extra day!

Response from the owner Thank you so much. It sounds so wonderful that I wish I could have been there. I look forward to having you and yours back again.

“Peaceful, secluded, restful and relaxing”

Reviewed 26 Jun 2011

My husband and I love the water and especially love crabbing. We were able to catch plenty of crabs right from the dock, however we also took advantage of the boats available in the convenient boat house to check out other crabbing spots. We brought an electric motor which we were able to store on the boat with our other equipment for the entire week. The cottage we rented was very convenient and close to the dock. There is a lovely pool at the main house which is an easy walk from the cottages. In the little bit of time we were crabbing or trying to catch fish, I practiced my ukulele and my husband took amazing pictures for our photo collection. We prefer the quiet of the area but St. Michael's is only about 10 miles away if you like shops or need groceries. This will be our third year at Grandview Cottages. The only thing that will stop our visits is the long trip from Connecticut. We are in our 70's.

Response from the owner Thank you for such a lovely review. We always look forward to your visits with us and that applies to this year as well. May the crabs be prolific and the weather perfect.

“Family Fun at Grandview”

Reviewed 24 Jun 2011

Our group of grandparents, children with spouses, & grandchildren spent a week in the main house at Grandview. We had a great time in the pool, on the docks, in the porches, & exploring this very large & private property. We also enjoyed the shopping, restaurants, & Maritime Museum in St. Michaels. It was a very hot week & the many fans that were provided made it comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped to handle a large group & we had a great seafood feast on the picnic tables by the pool.

Response from the owner We are so glad that you had a great vacation and look forward to seeing you again mext year. Thank you!

“Wonderful, relaxing spot for a family get-away!”

Reviewed 24 Jun 2011

Stayed in the smaller cottages with my wife and adult children and we couldn't have been happier. My son stayed in the main house a couple of times previously (it was booked when we stayed), and he higly recommended Grandview. Glad he did. The owner was a pleasure to work with; the location great; and the cottages clean & comfortable. We can't wait to get back.

Response from the owner Thank you so much for the kind words. I would love to have you all back. My guests treat Grandview as if it is their own and I love all of you for that.

A secret hideaway! We had never been to St. Michael's and even though this is out of town we like privacy. We stayed in one of the smaller units and it was perfect. Clean and updated with beautiful finishes. Would have loved to have a motor on the boat though!

Response from the owner Thank you so much. Hope to see you again! Let me know when you are coming and we can find you a motor.
