“Wonderful Cottage”

Reviewed 29 Apr 2013

We were completely pleased with this cottage. We were warmly welcomed and felt at home immediately. It was an ideal location for discovering Beara. It was wonderful to return here after a day of exploring and find everything we needed. We were also pleased with the small country grocery store a few steps away from the cottage. We could buy essential foodstuffs without driving a long distance. Thank you!

“A winner 2 years in a row.”

I returned to this cozy cottage on 11/27/12 for 2 1/2 weeks. I had been there last fall. The cottage is beautiful and in an area that is quiet, but not far from the action. The dance hall and pub is only 2km away. The owner is a very involved person who decorated the cottage for me for the holiday (Christmas time). She updated me on the events nearby. She was always available to help if needed (directions, recommendations, etc). The cottage was warm and comfortable. The scenery is spectacular. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a good value for their $$ and for friendly people in a scenic area. I'm homestick to go back already. My cousin joined me during my stay and she felt the same way I did and couldn't stop talking about the beauty and comfort of the cottage and the personality of the owner and the people living in the area. All in all a wonderful vaction.

“Home away from Home”

Had a fantastic week, perfect for our dogs, walk to the beach,pub/restaurant and shop at our doorstep. The cottage was just so cosey and beautifully decorated. Our host Maureen was just fantastic, and greeted us with a very warm welcome.Ideal for anyone looking to get away from everything, very peaceful location.

“I had 3 weeks of comfort, peace, exploration, adventure.”

The cottage is very comfortable and relaxing to stay in. The surrounding area is great for short or long walks along scenic backroads. The area is good for peace and quite if you want; but the people are outgoing and friendly and there are local activities to keep you busy when you want to stay close to the cottage. It is easy to get to the Kerry and Beara peninsulas and Bantry Bay. Cork and Killarney are short drives. It is an ideal place for your next Irish vacation. The owner is friendly and accomodating. All and all it was a 5 star stay.

“Great, relaxing vacation”

Reviewed 23 Jul 2011

My family and I spent a wonderful relaxing week here June 1. We walked to the sea almost daily, walked to The Lake House pub for fabulous meals and a few drinks, and had great conversations about the area with Maureen P.O. at the Tuosist Post Office. Had a great vacation. Mark and Elizabeth Nelson Spartanburg, South Carolina U.S.A.
