- Very Good
Overall we had a good stay in Budapest. The flat is excellently located near to all amenities and within easy walking distance of all restaurants, shops and metro - which is what we needed. The flat itself is large, spacious, has character and is secure and it was nice to have the balcony for breakfast. The host was helpful and hospitable, and sorted out a problem the same day when the internet was not working on the first day. A couple of negatives - the shower was not working well, going from hot to very cold and the pressure was not good. The beds were reasonably comfortable but not great. However overall when considering the price and all of the positives, i would definately recommend to stay to anyone and would happily stay again.
“Clean, comfortable and convenient.”
Stayed here with some friends for a long weekend in beautiful Budapest. The apartment was fantastic value for money, given its very central location, just a few minutes walk from the Danube, the parliament, and the bars of Pest. Due to our late flight, we arranged a pick-up, which for just €29 was very worthwhile, as it meant Susie could give us lots of information about the city. The apartment was in good condition - although beware the lock on the front door is rather stiff to open! Comfortable and clean, with good size beds and a nice little balcony. I would definitely stay here again.
“New Years in Budapest”
I stayed with some friends over New Years a week in Budapest. The accomodation is amazing! Really beautiful nice old building close to the city centre and the Szechenyi bath which was great. Everything that you need is in the appartment towels and so on. A great place to stay if you are with friends or family! Big table in the living room as well. The hosts/owers were very welcoming and friendly! It was such a good experience and I would recommand it to everyone!
“Lovely, central apartment. Authentic Budapest.”
We stayed at Marton's apartment just after Christmas. His lovely mother Susie collected us at the airport and was a mine of useful information that helped us find our feet. This apartment is unbelievably central to the city, with the beautiful St. Stephen's Basilica only footsteps away, and it convenient to small cafes and restaurants, and all the main attractions of Budapest. we could even sight-see and stil return comfortably on foot for lunch, before leaving again for more adventures! The apartment itself is cosy and has an authentic Budapest feeling to it, with its flights of stone steps, large windows, balcony and inner courtyard. We had all we needed there and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would certainly stay at Marton's apartment again if going to Budapest.
“Comfortable apartment in a central location”
In December 2013 we have been staying at one of Peter's apartments (Budapesting Basilica Corner Balcony). Although we have arrived in the middle of the night, a friend of his was waiting for us, showed us the apartment and gave us tips on Budapest. The apartment itself was well suited for our stay, with a good heating, plenty of room, and all we needed for a stay in Budapest. Just below the apartment is the metro. Even if it rains, you can get there without getting wet :) there's a 24/7 store next door to the building entrance that has all you need for breakfast, and another supermarket just around the block. There was one problem that we had in the bathroom which was fixed in less than a 10 hours, so that the host is very available, and he was also very helpful and aware of our needs. All in all I highly recommend his place and it's a good value for your money. Emir
The only negative I could possibly say is that some of the furniture and things were a little bit old, but that doesn't detract from a full five star rating as this place was very cost effective and this is more than made up for by the many other benefits. Situated in a beautiful building we were met by an incredibly helpful host, who basically showed us all the best things to do in Budapest upon our arrival. The house is easy to access from the center of the city and is handy with a washing machine and full kitchen facilities. It was clean and comfortable, with speedy internet. Can not fault it in any area. Most professional hosts I've experienced through air BnB, also!
“Big, clean and perfect place”
Nice accomodation, enough place, nice location in the middle of every interesting place in Budapest
“Best apartment ever!”
The overall of the place was good! The apartment is antique, and you have to climb the stairs up and down, the apartment is on the third floor. The furniture was quite antique, the heater of the bedroom was loud when turned on and we had some problems with the shower, because someone turn of it's heater accidentally, but they were very quick in fix it. On our staying we had 3 flatmates but only one bathroom, but also that was not a problem we stayed most of the time outside the house anyway. Now on the bright side, I never got to meet Marton, but I've met his brother Peter who was very helpful and polite, giving us all directions we needed, he also gave his number in case of anything we could just call him. The apartment itself is well located, we almost saw all sightseeing without spend with transportation! It's also a quiet place, ensuring a good sleep. For the price we paid, the apartment is the best choice you can get! Totally worth it! Many thanks to Marton family!
“Best way to kick off a trip!”
I stayed there for a couple of days and it was completely worth it. The place is big and it has so much space, more than you would expect it. It's very clean, it gets clean up regularly which is always a plus. It has all the accomodations you could ask for, washer, dryer, hair dryer, a full equipped kitchen, heating, etc. It's pretty much close to anything either you choose walking or taking the metro. They were very nice, they explain everything you need to know and they answer any doubt you may have in that moment, and even after if you call them. Very nice place to stay, it's a good investment to rest after visiting such a beautiful city.
“A really good memomy from Budapest!”
We keep a great memory of our visit to Budapest in Peter's apartment! The apartment was very clean and very well located and it has a great authentic atmosphere! All stuff that we needed were there and the wi-fi worked very well too. Peter is a young man very professional. We were very well received and he showed us several places to visit on a map that he gave us and recommend us really awesome typical restaurants. I really recommend you Peter's apartment!
