“Quaint and charming cottage with everything you need”

Reviewed 13 Aug 2017

This cottage is much nicer than a typical rental place. It's an older cottage with lots of character but it is very comfortable and it has been preserved with lots of love and attention to detail. My great aunt Viola used to rent this cottage many years ago when she came to visit her brother, my grandpa, who had a cottage nearby. There are dozens of small lamps and fairy lights which creates a magical atmosphere in the evenings. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need, the wifi works great, and the beds are comfortable. The location is ideal for swimming off the new dock and we enjoyed kayaking in their new kayaks too. Teri was very attentive and checked in with us during our stay. I hope we get to come back to this special place in the future.

“Great Place to Stay”

Reviewed 18 Jul 2017

It's hard to say what we liked the best about our stay at Cozy Cove because everything was wonderful. Don and Teri are great hosts (and communicators), and everything you need is right there, just like at home. It is a great location, close to many wineries and a few restaurants. The cottage sits right on the lake, and we loved all of the time we spent on the large, beautiful, new dock. The sounds of Cayuga Lake were so relaxing. Cozy Cove cottage is the perfect place to stay when visiting the Finger Lakes!

Response from the owner Thank you Melissa and family! We are happy that we had a peaceful place for you to be together to relax with nature and the lake. We hope you return to Cozy Cove Cottage for a future vacation, we would be honored to have you! Peace, Teri (and Don)

“THE perfect lakeside cottage!”

Reviewed 21 Sep 2014

This is absolutely THE perfect cottage! I cannot imagine a better location or place to stay for a lakeside vacation. It is a nice distance from the main road, behind a grove of trees and right on the lake. The quiet and beauty is something you want to absorb. The master bedroom fronts the lake and the last and first thing you hear night and morning is the gentle lapping of the waves. The cottage is located in a very scenic area of Cayuga Lake, with charming villages, country farms and vineyards all around. The nearby town is an easy 15- minute drive for errands and shopping, but often unnecessary because of the frequent produce stands with just-picked fruit and vegetables. The things we might need or want were thoughtfully provided; from a canoe, water toys, life jackets, cushions, BBQ, games, movies, WIFI, lots of cooking utensils, and even binoculars and flora and fauna books. The cottage had everything we needed, yet felt simple and uncluttered. I especially enjoyed the rocking chairs and “candle” lighting throughout. It was all I hoped for and more. I’d like to go back again, and again, and again. Thank you Teri and Don for opening your home to strangers (aka "new friends"). Please don't change a thing.

“Lovely Stay!”

Reviewed 9 Sep 2013

We had a great time at the cottage. Teri and Don were kind and attentive hosts who made sure our stay was nothing short of spectacular. The surrounding area is great -- wineries, quaint towns to explore and beautiful country roads for cycling. (Not to mention an outlet mall 30 minutes away which came in handy for back-to-school shopping!) Wonderful gem of a place. We hope to be back next year!

“Peaceful and relaxing”

Reviewed 6 Sep 2013

We loved our stay at Cozy Cove Cottage! It was so peaceful and relaxing. The cottage definitely lives up to its name as cozy and charming, and every detail is thought of to make your stay comfortable. Being right on the edge of the water was wonderful and the kids loved being able to float the day away on the inner tubes. And the wineries are close too! Teri and Don were extremely helpful and kind and we definitely look forward to staying there again!

“Great cottage, great vacation”

Reviewed 5 Sep 2013

Awesome vacation and Teri and Don were fantastic owners who went out of their way to accommodate our requests and ensure we had a great time. Cottage is exactly what you want it to be: cozy, quiet, relaxing and clean. Kids had a blast in the water, with the row boat and the ducks. If you have the chance to book a week, do it quickly because I'm sure everyone who went this summer will be booking again for next year!

“Wonderful Weekend Getaway!”

Reviewed 19 Jun 2013

I stayed at Cozy Cove with my husband and two friends for a wine tasting weekend. We loved the cottage from the moment we first saw it. It is clearly also well loved by its owners, who took care in making sure everything was ready for us. The location is perfect... very close to all the wineries on the Cayuga Lake Trail, but down a small dirt road that offers just enough privacy. The lake is fabulous, and we loved waking up with such a beautiful view. If it had been warmer, we would have gone out in the canoe or paddle boat! As I mentioned, the owners take great care of this little house, and it shows. The decor is very sweet and helps you to feel comfortable right away. The only suggestion I would make is to add another small love seat or comfy chair, as there isn't quite enough seating for four adults. All in all, Cozy Cove is a wonderful place. We would love to stay again!

“Girls Get-Away Week-End”

Reviewed 18 Jun 2013

This 1930s cottage is in it's original condition and very well maintained. Freshly painted, clean and comfortable in a woodsy setting on Cayuga Lake. Rental and check-in was very easy with good directions given by the owner, Teri, who met us upon our arrival. The property is in the middle of the Cayuga Wine trail and close to a variety of shopping. We especially enjoyed the amish store in Conoga and of course the many wineries. Even though cottage is not air conditioned, the 2nd floor bedrooms are kept cool at night with several fans and the cool breezes from the lake.

“a peaceful and relaxing mini-vacation”

Reviewed 25 Sep 2012

I couldn't have asked for better service. When I experienced a problem with my computer, Teri went out of her way to make sure the problem was rectified. Any questions I had were promptly answered. The cottage was so cosy and everything I needed was there. It was a perfect location - so close to the water and I loved having breakfast each morning looking at the view.

“Lovely”

Reviewed 30 Aug 2012

Had a wonderful stay at the cottage. Rowed across the lake, did yoga on the dock, drifted on a raft on the water, reading on the deck, a fire going in the fire pit every night. Visited Watkins Glen, lunch at Moosewood in Ithaca, a massage by Johanna. Ice cream from the creamery. Sleeping to the sound of lapping water. What could be better!
