“An amazing experience!!”

Reviewed 28 Jun 2014

Every year we celebrate an event called The Joys of June. We celebrate my Husband's Birthday, my Son's Birthday and our Anniversary. We found this Gem on the Internet and decided to book. When we arrived the Cabin was immaculate. It had all of the extra's we could need. The resort management went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. On the second day the family went out on boats. It was a wonderful experience. We did have one issue which was, two of our boys got lost on the river and the sun was going down. Soon it was dark and I was very concerned. We went to management and they quickly got on a boat and brought the kids back. They were so wonderful about the whole thing. My family and I made such special memories at this wonderful Resort. This place sucks the stress right out of you and provide a great space. I recommend twice over!!

“Welcomed like family...”

Maybe being welcomed like family may not be the best review for some, but that is how Hardy, Karen, and their son Mark makes you feel and I love my family. And should you have a problem, then Hardy and/or Mark is your "go to" help. (Thanks Hardy for finding my electrical problem!) The park is primarily cabins with a limited number of RV slots. I have not been in any of the cabins, but they look sturdy and very well maintained. And if you have a large trailer or motor home such as my 36ft Class a, then the slots can be a little tight. But I assure you that either or both Hardy & Mark will move whatever can be moved and help you get comfortable. This is one of the cleanest, affordable, and quiet parks I've been at. The grounds and buildings are exceptionally well maintained. The free WiFi connection is fast and secure with the home page keeping you up to date on what is going on and places to enjoy in the area. Other than the above mentioned tight access to RV slots the only other fault I can find is that there is only two washers and dryers available and they are starting to show their age, But if your group is large and you need more, there is a very clean laundromat in the shopping center in nearby Inverness. The clubhouse is clean and comfortable. I am just starting fulltime Rving and this will go in my log as an a+ site to return to when I again visit this area.

“Riverfront Getaway (#24a)”

Reviewed 13 Aug 2013

I stayed at the Riverside Lodge and it was a excellent choice. The location is great it is right in the middle of all the activities around there. When I first got there and meet with the owner's, I thought they were great. They were full of information about the area, and were excellent about answering any of my questions. The Cabin was extremely clean, and very well taken care of. I rented cabin 24a and it was right on the riverfront. We got to do some canoeing and got to see all the wonderful sights. We ended up going to Wild Bill's air boat tour's which was located directly across the street from the camp sight. Dinner was fabulous at the Fisherman's Restaurant, and the waiter was very polite and went out of his way to make you happy. The restaurant is approximately 500 feet down the road from the camping area. I believe my dog misses the Riverside lodge because she got to go on here walks on the doggie walk, she went canoeing, and she even got to go to the campfires at night and meet everyone. Very pet friendly place. If your looking for some peace and quite and just want to relax the Riverside Lodge is a great place to start.

“Riverside Lodge in September”

We had a great time and we can't wait to get back. We stayed in 24b loved the family environment, loved the surroundings and enjoyed the family that runs it. Very cozy feel of the cabins, very clean and wanted to come back for Thanksgiving but waited too long to call. Also enjoyed the locals Mike & Molly at Ms. Molly McGee's, Cove restaurant as well as the Publix and country get to know you feel! Also loved the free boat rental and really enjoyed being on the river. Do you and your family a favor and call and book your time now w/the van Niersen's.

Response from the owner Thanks for the nice review! We are glad you enjoyed staying with us! Hardy & Karen

“Sooo Relaxing!!!”

Reviewed 27 Aug 2011

Our family wanted to have a getaway before school started. We happened upon Riverside. We were surprisingly pleased! They were friendly and accomodating. The cabins were beautiful, clean, and spacious. The entire resort was beautiful and peaceful. We have already told others about it! Our family has already decided . . . We are going to go again soon!!!

“A delightful place!”

Reviewed 28 Jun 2011

A beautiful cabin, and great location. The kids begged to stay a while longer, and I wish we could have. I promised them we would return again. The handout Hardy made with local goods, services and activities is awesome, right down to the bait store! We visited several locations on the map and told everyone how we found out about them. We all look forward to coming back soon!
