“Lovely peaceful cottage”

Reviewed 19 Jun 2013

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kildrochet cottage. It was beautifully decorated and well-equipped - the welcome pack of food was a lovely (and very useful) touch. The cottage is really easy to find and the owners are most welcoming.

“Luxury at affordable prices”

Reviewed 30 Dec 2011

A really great place to stay. Huge amounts of space. Beautifully decorated throughout. The kitchen is massive with everything you could need including a fridge freezeer larger than my own! The lounge has nice view with (for self catering accom) a very good TV and books. The bedroom is enormous and romantically furnished. A lovely bathroom too. Almost impossible to fault.

“Great Stay”

Super place to stay (almost luxury). Accomodation is very spacious split over 3 floors. Rooms are light and airy. We are going back!

“Excellent”

Reviewed 13 Jun 2011

The house is set on pleasant grounds and is easily accessible by car with good off road parking. Dogs are catered for which was excellent for us and our Labrador. The rooms were clean and well presented and we were given a brief overview of the facilities (which is good as sometimes such overviews can be too lengthy after a long journey). The lady was very friendly and approachable. The kitchen was stocked with a few basic items to keep you going until you have chance to nip to the near-bye shops. The bed was comfortable and warn and the bath was good, although perhaps a shower would have been welcome. For car owners this is a good base for exploring the local area. Overall an excellent place to stay we highly recommend it and intend to visit again soon.

“The cottage was absolutely lovely”

Reviewed 8 Jun 2011

We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay & the cottage was exceptional value for money. Very comfortable & very clean. The lounge overlooked a superb garden & the location could not have been better, very peaceful but only a short drive to Stranraer with a good selection of shops/supermarket & Portpatrick whicc is a beautiful little seaside village where good bar meals were available.

“Getaway”

Reviewed 8 Jun 2011

We were very pleasantly surprised by the cottage/apartment. It was beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. It was very well equipped and had everything one would expect in a self-catering accommodation. We stayed in November and though the weather was very cold the apartment was warm and cosy. The house grounds are also very pleasant for a stroll. We were so impressed we have booked to go again this year.

“Comfortable, relaxing and satisfying.”

Reviewed 8 Jun 2011

The apartment had everything we needed. It was warm and cosy and we felt at home and comfortable immediately. The grounds of the house were idyllic and only a 3 minute drive from the coast where there were lovely coastal walks and long, empty beaches. It is also only and 5 minutes from Stranraer. I would return without a moments hesitation.

“beautiful cottage in lovely location”
