“July 31-Aug 5, 2012”
We rented this lovely home for our Yellowstone vacation. The home is so quiet and comfortable. The kitchen is very large, fully stocked, and even has a walk in pantry. We felt right at home and cooked every night. The double shower is great. The owners were very easy to work with. It is about a 20 minute drive to Yellowstone. We enjoyed every aspect of the park. We loved the wildlife and were fortunate to see a grizzly bear and wolves in the park. The home sits right on Hebgen Lake and we took the canoe out on a beautiful sunny morning which was very nice. At night, however, the mosquitos are terrible, so bring bug spray. We had a wonderful time.
The pictures on the website do not do even begin to show how nice this cabin is!!! We travelled with another family and could not have been more pleased with our decision to stay here. There was plenty of room and it was beautiful! The scenery when you looked out the window or went outside on the patio was breathtaking. Our pictures look like postcards! We even saw a fox in the yard one day. It was nice to rough it in the park during the day and then go "home" to make dinner in the beautiful kitchen and relax on the comfy furniture... even the beds were comfortable. It took less than 15 minutes to be in the town of West Yellowstone and at the entrance to Yellowstone National Park. It was a vacation that we will never forget and we would love to buy the cabin!!! We met the owners the night before we left... extremely nice people. Kevin Black was extremely helpful in booking this cabin and answered a million questions for us. I would definitely stay here again and feel comfortable booking thru them.
“Great place to stage daytrips to the western side of Yellowstone”
I stayed in this cabin for 4 nights with my family (6 of us total), and it was wonderful. About 15 minutes drive from the west entrance of Yellowstone NP, it was a great place for us to stage daytrips into the park from. I must, say, however, it was tempting to just stay in. The "cabin" itself (come on, who are we kidding, this is a full blown house) was spacious and accommodating. The kitchen is recently renovated and very easy to cook in. The backyard offers lake access and a fire pit. After a day of hiking, it was an ideal place to kick back and relax. My only gripe (and it is a small one relative to the rest of my experience) is that the windows in the dining room have no shades at all. While this offers a fantastic view of the lake and nearby Gallatin range, we managed to eat dinner about an hour before sunset each evening, and the light was near blinding. We coped, but it seems like a small problem with a relatively straightforward solution (e.g. curtains).
“Wondeful home in a fantastic location!”
The home and location well surpassed my expectation. The house feels very new and the finishings are very tasteful. The home fits the surroundings without looking like a log cabin. It has quality hardwood floors throughout, attractive tiles, a top knotch kitchen, surround sound, wi-fi, fireplace, high grade washer dryer, etc. We cooked comfortably all meals besides lunch. The house is right on a lake with mountain views acrosss. It's a surprisingly short trip to Yellowstone where we went each day. It stays light so late in summer you can get a full day in before dinner. it's also convenient for an arrival through Bozeman. There are some Mosquitos but good screens.
“Amazing location, beautiful cabin, friendly owners!”
A beautiful, contemporary cabin set right on Hebgen Lake. Right in the heart of the wildlife. Saw a mother and baby moose as we pulled in. Spectacular view and everything you might need/want is in the cabin. The owners were next door and were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!
“Wonderful cabin and great views!!!”
Our stay was great! The cabin was beautiful and quiet. We enjoyed wonderful nights by the fire pit and loved all the amenities at the cabin. We would highly recommend staying here and look forward to a relaxing vacation!
“Amazing cabin with everything!”
We were first time vacation house renters, having only stayed in hotels. So we didn't know what to expect. This cabin exceeded all our expectations. It was clearly built to please the owners own family, a family with excellent taste! It's an almost new house, beautifully appointed with the latest items a fashionable home owner would want. Please look at the pictures to see what I mean. You will love the lake and the views and the natural surroundings too. Visit Yellowstone during the day and come home to comfort at night!
“Camping in style”
Beautiful cabin, everything worked as expected...stove, fridge, lots of utensils, great water pressure, large living spaces, wireless, satellite TV, firepit, grill, swing, close to lake. Location is hard to find the first time - but enjoyed the remoteness after settling in. Only 10 miles from West Yellowstone. Relatively new cabin with great architecture and views. Needed a bit of cleaning upon checkin, may not have been rented in a few weeks based on cobwebs, dust, etc. Overall - I would stay here again!
