Luxury Lodge on the banks of the Tongariro River, where you can watch fly fisherman in action.
The Lodge offers private luxury accommodation, for a maximum of 5 guests. It has spacious open plan living and self catering, where you can sit back and relax with all the home comforts only 50m from the famous Tongariro River. It is very secluded and has wonderful native gardens with many native birds. The main living is upstairs therefore has great sun all year round.
Turangi Trout Lodge is situated in an area world renowned for its fly fishing and in close proximity to the World Heritage Tongariro National Park which includes the Tongariro Alpine Crossing and two of New Zealand’s largest ski fields on Mount Ruapehu, Whakapapa and Turoa. The travel time to the Whakapapa ski fields is approximately 45 minutes.
There is an African theme running through the Lodge, the Living area has a large balcony with a barbecue for outdoor entertaining. The two bedrooms are serviced by 2 bathrooms and all sheets and towels are provided. It really is home away from home with a full kitchen, plasma TV, sound system and wireless internet.

“Comfortable and homely feel”
Well furnished, clean and very comfortable accommodation. Welcoming at the end of a days fishing. Still excellent even if you weren't fishing, to sit relax, read a book or watch the television.
