“Perfect in every way!......Parfait!”

Reviewed 30 Apr 2015

Olivella, our hostess, was beyond helpful. She arranged our lower than market priced taxi pickup and drop-off, had plenty of maps of Rome travel books available, spoke several languages and reminded us of certain details before leaving our home. The location is ideal! We arrived late at night yet still managed to take a quick nearby promenade upon our arrival. Thank you for making our stay perfect! Merci d'avoir rendu notre séjour parfait !

“Live like a Roman”

Reviewed 10 Jul 2014

This apartment is in a great location and Olivella is a sweetheart. It is within walking distance of all the sites yet is in a fun residential neighborhood, so we were able to enjoy the must sees and the city as well. The apartment is very well appointed, clean and comfortable for two people with soundproof windows. It is not a true B&B (you'll get a voucher for coffe and pastries down the street). We preferred to walk two minutes to the Campo di' Fiori for coffee and watch the vendors set up their stalls.

“This is a great place to call home when you tour Rome.”

A spacious accommodation in perfect central location. We walked almost the entire city. The separate sitting area added to the comfort after a busy day of touring. Olivella was always available and accommodating, helping with dinner reservations and arranging car pickup at airport and taxi upon leaving. Breakfast down the block was OK but would have preferred something nicer.

“wonderful place to stay at”

The appartment has a wonderful private atmosphere and very personal furniture. The location in the centre of Rome was perfect to visit all fantastic places there by foot. We felt very comfortable and welcome in the appartment. Everything was clean and warm and nice. Many thanks for organizing the taxi from and to the airport and the personal warm welcome!

“Peaceful and stylish oasis in centre of Rome”

Reviewed 4 Aug 2013

The energy, excitement and passion of Rome is exhilarating - but can also be exhausting. Being able to retreat to a quiet and restful place helps to to fully appreciate what the city has to offer. At the same time, a central location within walking distance of the main tourist sites is a must. Olivella's B&B; has both these requirements covered. Getting from the airport to the B&B; was easy with the taxi she ordered, she was there to greet us on arrival, and there is a small lift to the second floor for luggage (not always so in Rome). The location is very close to both the Campo de' Fiori and Piazza Navona - it's on a laneway just off a busy road, but traffic noise is hardly noticeable with the double glazed windows. Inside feels fresh, clean and spacious, despite its compact size, with books and prints on the wall, a desk, couch, TV, cupboards and a comfortable bed. The ceilings are high and there is plenty of light, with a nice balance between antique character and modern comfort. The bathroom is modern, well laid out and easy to use, with plenty of hot water. There are thoughtful touches, such as maps, recommendations for local restaurants, banks, laundry, etc. Free wifi too. Olivella is very approachable (she lives next door) but not intrusive, speaks good English, and is willing to make bookings and provide advice if needed. Overall, we found this an excellent place to stay, and I highly recommend it for couples seeking a restful, stylish, well-located, reasonably priced base from which to explore the historic centre of Rome.

“Home away from home”

“Elegant Haven in Bustling Rome”

Reviewed 13 Jun 2013

This is a wonderful retreat from the hustle and bustle of Rome in a perfect location for walking to all the major tourist attractions. Elegantly furnished with family heirlooms this is a very quiet, clean & comfortable apartment exactly as it looks in the photos. The surrounding area has many great restaurants and bars, colourful Campo de Fiori and on Via del Pellegrino you will find interesting innovative boutiques. Olivella is a perfect host who provides first class accommodation and is available for any advice you may need. Before our arrival she responded promptly to all our queries. Take advantage of her offer to arrange transport to/from the airport. It is cheaper and more efficient than a taxi. I would highly recommend this apartment and would definitely stay there again!

“Absolutely Perfect in the heart of Roma!!”

Reviewed 25 May 2013

We just came back from eight days in Rome, this B&B; is in a perfect location to walk to all the sites in Rome. About 12-15 minute stroll to the Vatican, 5 minutes to Piazza Navona, 20 minutes to the Colosseum, and about 2 minutes to the Campo de Fiori. The double pane windows kept out all but the loudest sirens, we were not bothered by typical street noise at all, and never smelled any cigarette smoke as mentioned in an earlier review. This apartment really makes you feel like a native Roman living in heart of the city. We whole heartedly recommend this gem to all of our family and friends.

“Rome Retreat for all our Walking adventures”

Reviewed 8 Oct 2012

My first impression upon walking into the apartment was "Yay!" and this apartment consistently continued to exceed my expectations as a lovely super-clean calm cheerful quiet retreat. It has a happy sophisticated vibe to it and we felt fortunate to have found it. We spent 4 busy days exploring Rome on foot, and this location was perfect for all our short treks. Olivella's attention to detail and the classy but homey details makes you feel like a respected and welcomed guest. Abundant built-in storage shelves with tons of clothes hangers make it easy to tuck everything away and feel like a local rather than a traveler living out of a suitcase. An abundance of floor and desk lamps, so you have good lighting throughout. Huge tall windows which let in natural light, yet have great dimming coverage window treatments if you need. Lots of wall outlets throughout and a couple of handy adapters, too. You'll hear occasional ambulance sirens but it's a major city, so that's to be expected. Very very quiet otherwise. If you're hyper-sensitive to cigarette smoke as I am, you'll smell it faintly wafting through the door in late afternoon through late evening, but it didn't bother my husband at all, and a partial wall separates the bedroom area from that. Olivella has an organized business card booklet with good restaurant's business cards with personal notes about the food, etc at the sitting room desk. We loved having that big desk to spread out all our maps, itineraries, etc to get ourselves organized for each day. At first we thought it might be an inconvenience to have to walk a block each morning to redeem the breakfast voucher at the nearby cafe, but we even enjoyed that - the owner is a really pleasant guy who seems genuinely interested in providing great customer service. It's a top notch place to stay - like a really classy hotel suite, but with much more privacy. We would immediately seek it out again if we visit Rome again, and I do so hope to visit Rome again.
