Description

The Petals is a comfortable and tranquil 2 bedroom villa overlooking a lush garden and surrounding paddy fields. The villa is conveniently located 5 minutes from the beaches of Unawatuna and Dalawella and a 15 minute tuk-tuk ride from Galle town. Both bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms with hot water showers. The bedrooms have four poster king size beds with mosquito nets, posh bedding, are air conditioned or fan-cooled and open up with French windows to the veranda. Sitting and dining areas are found on the open air veranda.

There's an amazing hammock spot at the end of the garden with a light breeze from the paddy and shaded all day by the tamarind and mango trees. Also a dining table seating 10 for alfresco breakfast/lunch/dinner next to the pool.

We aim to provide a "home away from home" atmosphere where you feel free to roam as you like but with the added bonus of a couple of people looking after you.

The house has 1 chef and 1 housekeeper that will discretely attend to you in an un-intrusive way. The kitchen is well equipped and should you wish to cook for your self you should have everything you need at hand. There are markets nearby and the house manager would be happy to escort you or shop on your behalf.

There's a good wi-fi connection that stretches to the whole garden and pool area.

We have a 4x10 metres infinity pool, with sun beds and sun umbrellas.

Location: The Petals is located in Metaramba village. 5 minutes from Unawatuna and Dalawella beaches. It's a 15 minute tuk-tuk ride to Galle. There are 2 very friendly and independent dogs living on the grounds, they don't come into the house.

Getting around

The easiest way of getting around is by tuk-tuk. It's 5 minutes to the beach and 15 to Galle Fort. The house staff will call you one when you're at the hosue. We have a few trusted drivers that are available 24/7 and who offere a "book by sms" service so they can come to collect you where ever you may be. We can also help you book vans for further afield excursions as well as motorbike, moped and bicyle hire. The nearest train station is Unawatuna.

Interaction with guest

Interactions will be as you wish. There are two full time staff who will look after you in a discrete way. They are able to assist you with booking onward transport, day trips, recommendations and anything else that might pop up. I am available on phone, text or email for anything really. Should you wish complete privacy that is of course ok too and can be arranged.

How do damage deposits work?

If Linda (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
