“Location could not be bettered!”
We were fortunate to hire Don and Maragaret Buckley's apartment for eight weeks from 9 January 2015. It is truly excellent accommodation in a location which means tenants do not necessarily need to hire a car. The apartment lies some 100 yards from the promenade which runs from the centre of Marbella to Puerto Banus and either destination is approximately 40 minutes walk. There are a number of excellent restaurants within walking distance as well as many bars and coffee shops. Local bus services stop within 100 yards of the front door and taxis provide a very inexpensive option. Las Canas development offers three swimming pools within its beautifully manicured central garden which provides a leisurely stroll to the beach. Security is excellent throughout the development and, if a tenant does have a hire car, an excellent underground car park is provided. The apartment itself is extremely comfortable and very well equipped with quality crockery, kitchen utensils and comfortable furniture. A major plus point is the excellent wi-fi arrangement which provides a very good connection. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and much appreciated Don's very helpful fact sheet which was of great assistance in the first few days. One advantage of the siting of the apartment is its location on the west side of the Las Canas development which means it is wonderfully cool during the nine warmer months of the year and an excellent shelter from the very strong sun.
I have stayed in this apartment in Las Cannes Beach in Marbella on numerous occasions.The first time I took a taxi from Malaga airport about 40 minutes to the apartment.I got an English taxi man who knows where the apartment and he dropped me at the gate it cost me €47.00 . The owner Don gave me his name. I On other trips I got an air conditioned Bus from Malaga to Marbella Bus station takes 45 minutes and costs just €4.25. From the bus station 5 minutes Taxi trip to the apartment. Also the owner Don Buckley gave me 2 or 3 typed pages of information about the area and it's bars and Restaurants and shops. This was helpful as I was able to settle in straight away.There's a big supermarket almost across the road from the apartment complex and a Lidl Store on the same side of the street.I had fantastic holidays there. I felt very secure in the apartment which has 24 hours security and very helpful security people at the entrance office. Also the promenade on the Golden Mile is very safe to walk on both day and night as it is well policed. At 64 I could walk to the centre of Marbella in 20 minutes and to Puerto Venus 40 minutes. There are great Restaurants in Marbella. I liked Beckett's who do an early bird. There is a lovely Da Bruno Restaurant near the apartment that does a take out of the same food that is on the Restaurant menu and occasionally I would get it and sit out on the Veranda and enjoy a quiet night with a couple of glasses of wine. Also visit the Claddagh Irish Bar which has music and dancing 6 nights a week and I used to walk in and take a taxi from the rank in front of Bar home; I had some great nights. Dara and angie manage it. The apartment itself is comfortable, clean, bright and very airy but as the owner runs a 4 * hotel in Ireland it's only what I would expect. The price is very reasonable compared to the weekly rental of other apartments in the area. If you go there you'll have a great time I know I had many good times there.
I stayed in this apartment with my family last year . For someone who doesn't normally do this type of sedentary holiday I can only say that I am a convert. The apartment is luxurious and ideally set up for a family, and I felt completely at home immediately. It's proximity to the beach offers an alternative option from the complete privacy of poolside sunbathing, which is ideal. To have the option of either pool or beach, within minutes of each other is excellent. The grounds and pools are magnificent. While the apartment is situated close to all amenities, there is a feeling of complete privacy and one feels very secure which adds to an overall relaxing atmosphere. Security of parking is another added bonus if one has a car. If you tire of the pool ... and the beach... and the restaurants and... the relaxing atmosphere, there is always the option taking trips by car or bus to nearby Gibraltar or Ronda . I look forward to returning here in the near future.
This is a lovely apartment,very comfortable,clean and spacious. Close to all restaurants and within walking distance to the old town. Very secure,and ideal for a relaxing holiday.
“Relaxing break away”
3 friends and I take regular trips to this accomodation...it is in a great location, easy to access, we sit in the sun in the beautiful gardens, we swim, we walk the Golden Mile- which is only 3 mins through the gardens, we golf and travel into Marbella by night to eat in one of many fab restraunts there. The appartment itself is comfortable, cosy, clean and very airy...we have been known to sip a glass or 2 wine in the balcony!!! I would certainly highly recommend staying here and will actually be over there next Monday, 9th May for 4 nights to do all the above and have a great laugh...Yipee roll on next week...
“A Lovely relaxing place and a hoilday we will not forget!”
The appartment in marbella was top class.We got picked up at the airport by taxi who knew the appartment so no delays.Don Buckley was very helpfull with directions and tips for our hoilday. The appartment block was top class and very clean.The beach was a 5 min walk and was fab.The area was very central to all(pubs,restaurants,shops ect).It was a very safe area.The weather was fab and the locals were friendley.the complex has a very nice pool area and is keept very clean just like the appartment.It was like home from home but the weather was fab and we would highly recommend this appartment both for family and friends.The best part we liked was everything was so near by and the beach was fab.Looking forward to our return trip!!

Firstly may i say the prospect of going on holiday to a foreign destination with 2 young children can be froth with difficulty in relation to travel,safety and trying to keep them intertained.Well i smile when consider the week vacation we spent at the La Canas Beach aparts in Marella.The quality and sheer Luxury of the apart.was absolutely 1st class.The facilities and safety of the apparts.are second to none.The complex is extremely well run spotlessly clean.Its close proximity to services such as beach,shopping etc add to what i can only describe as the best holiday expierence we have ever had and really look forward to a return visit
“A Special Place”
We spent a fabulous week in Marbella in one of the best apartments & Developments we have ever encountered. 'Las Canas' came highly recommended and certainly lived up to its reputation. A 5 star development with beautiful outdoor swimming pools and private gardens that lead directly onto the beach. It really was just a short stroll to a great choice of friendly Bars, quality restaurants & served as the 'perfect base' for our holiday in Marbella. Although we had a rental car it was not required & remained parked up securely for our entire stay. The photos serve as an injustice to the real quality of this apartment . 5 star hotel quality ... With the space & location. The owners also deserve high praise for the advice given to visitors to make sure their visit to Marbella is unforgettable. Thank you Don for opening up your holiday home to us... As a regular online user this is the first time I have left a holiday review and it could not be in support of a more deserving place. (Note: This has just recently been publicly listed ... hence the dated review, but through recent friend visits I am assured it retains the same quality and charm today) It really is a special treat to stay here!!
