The Croft holiday cottage is situated on the edge of the picturesque hamlet of Fenderbridge, a mile from Blair Atholl. The Croft is full of character and charm having been renovated to a high standard with great consideration to the property’s original character.
The Croft occupies an enviable position in a tranquil location within walking distance of Blair Atholl. There are stunning views of Glen Fender and of Beinn A’Ghlo, one of the mountains in the Munro range. There is a lovely walk next to the river Tilt down to your local village shop for your morning paper and freshly baked bread at the Watermill Bakery.
This traditional farmer’s croft dates from the 1880s and was refurbished throughout in 2010. The oak floored kitchen is well appointed with a Rangemaster induction hob and double oven cooker, dishwasher, microwave and all the other high standard equipment you would expect. A pine dining table and chairs allow for ideal holiday meal times and a Clearview wood burning stove takes pride of place in the fireplace. In the front room a comfortable couch with cushions and easy chair sit around a charming coal fireplace. Sitting conveniently, but unobtrusively, in the lounge is a plasma screen 32 inch TV with FreeSat package. The bathroom has been totally refitted which includes a separate walk in shower and traditional roll top bath.
There are two bedrooms with original pine floorboards and beams with velux windows that not only bring additional light into the cottage but give you the opportunity on a clear night to lie back and gaze at the starry skyline.
There is a barn which is accessible from the front room with a utility room and a boot room for outside clothing and boots.
Outside the property and beyond the front of the house is a traditional stone wall that overlooks a wooded slope down to a burn which contrasts with the other sides of the cottage where panoramic views abound. The south facing gable end has a lawn eating/drinking area and you can enjoy marvellous views across Glen Tilt. Watch the sun rise over the pine trees to the east or relax and enjoy the sunset over the spectacular mountains to the west.

If Alan (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
