“Relaxing”

Reviewed 18 Aug 2013

We had a fantastic stay at Mimosa Cottage. Holly and Cha were great owners who made us feel very welcome from the word go and also gave us great advice on places to visit. The pictures do not do the grounds or cottage justice - both are beautiful and wonderfully looked after. The kids were constantly out enjoying the fresh air and grounds. Thank you for a fantastic and relaxing time.

“Surpassed our expectations.”

Holly and Chas greeted us with warmth and made us feel welcome and at home. We were given a tour of the cottage and property and supplied with enough basic provisions to get us through the first morning. (not necesssary but a welcome touch) The cottage is beautiful, very well equipped and even though we had dull days we enjoyed sitting in front of the fire with a good book and a glass of cider, provided by our hosts. The area is a little slice of heaven, beautiful walks and woods and within a short distance from the village of Langonnet where you can get everything you need. The cottage is in easy driving distance of many local historical sights and towns. Ask Chas about some of the lesser known walks and sights to see. A special mention has to go to Fosco, the neighbours playful dog who kept our dog Dora happy on many days. There was nothing we didn't like, it suited my husband, who likes to visit towns, and myself who loves quiet walks, peaceful gardens and log fires. I would recommend Mimosa to anyone and would certainly love to return at another date.

“Fab family holiday”

Reviewed 21 Aug 2011

We stayed at Mimosa cottage for a fortnight at the beginning of august. The hamlet is delightful - quiet, secluded and very quiet set in the middle of countryside in south, central Brittany. The cottage is well appointed and has charm and character that epitomises rustic France. The kids enjoyed the table-tennis and darts, the space for water fights and badminton, and of course the pool. Shops were not too far away in the car and, while it took a while to drive anywhere there were plenty of options in every direction, especially the beaches. Highly recommended, particularly as Holly and Cha were on hand for advice (places to visit, restaurants and translation!) and to help with any issues - though the only ones that arose were us breaking things!!!

“Wonderful cottage, beautifully furnished and lovely owners!”

Reviewed 11 Aug 2011

We were recommended Mimosa Cottage by our friends and we're so glad that we took their advice and stayed there. The cottage is in a beautiful location and ideal for a really relaxing break. The cottage itself is decorated to a high standard and is fully equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, fridge and cooker. Everything inside was spotlessly clean and had everything that you could possibly need for cooking. There is a log fire - although we didn't need to use this as the sun was shining the whole time we were there! There are three bedrooms with lovely comfortable beds and a cot/stairgate for babies. The bathroom has a shower - again everything is spotless. There is also a downstairs toilet. The grounds of the cottage are beautiful and well kept. Holly and Cha the owners are lovely and made us extremely welcome. There are also two friendly dogs Cezar and Bobbie) who belong to their neighbours and who will keep you entertained for hours - they also accompany you on walks! Holly and Cha have converted a barn which has enough space to hold functions/parties and would be ideal for family get togethers, parties or classes. There is also a pool in the field opposite the cottage. We enjoyed every minute of our stay in Mimosa Cottage and would certainly recommend here to everyone. We look forward to returning next year as we had such a lovely relaxing holiday.

“Practically Perfect - in every way!”

Reviewed 8 Aug 2011

Holly and Cha were the perfect hosts, leaving welcome goodies on our arrival, which were much appreciated by us all. They had excellent local knowledge and were keen to help at all times. Facilities were good and the indoor Games Room was much used during our few wet days. The walks from the gite were lovely and easy to follow, with outstanding views over the countryside. We ventured as far afield as Vannes in one direction and Quimper in the other - both of which are well worth a visit. Many days we spent on the beach, having taken a picnic out with us, and Les Roches du Diable between Le Faouet and Quimperle provided breath-taking views and challenging walking. The market at Le Faouet was a lovely atmosphere and all the French hommes chatted easily to us in a bar, allowing us to soak up the atmosphere even more. Best eat out was as L'Argoat in Le Faouet - excellent food and lots of locals eating in there. In all, coming home was tinged with sadness as it was such a lovely holiday but seeing my new grandson was lovely. We do aim to return to Mimosa as it has left a lasting impression - not soley because of its' beauty and charm but also thanks largely to its' lovely hosts. Thank you once again Holly and Cha - we look forward to seeing you next time!

“Mimosa Cottage - Just Perfect”

Reviewed 14 May 2011

My partner and I spent two weeks at the beautiful Mimosa Cottage. It has been one of our best holidays ever. The cottage itself was very clean, well furnished, extremely well equipped and everything you could possibly need. Fantastic location for relaxing, taking time out, walking, cycling and sightseeing. The owners are very helpful and always on hand if required. Beautiful grounds and gardens. We would love to go back and will certainly recommend this property to our family and friends. It was so lovely to relax in the evening sitting around the log fire with a glass of french wine.

“Fantastic, beautiful, peaceful and heaven on earth.”

This place is home from home. Comfortable, everything you could wish for, beautiful surroundings and an idylic setting. The owners are on hand when you need anything and are helpful, informative and friendly, nothing is too much trouble and they go our of their way to make your break amazing. You have plenty of privacy to enjoy the cottage or for time in the beautifully kept gardens for a restful and relaxing time. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.
