Hidden among the trees in a peacefull, wilderness setting; when you stay at Coal Creek Cabins you'll feel like you're miles from anyone else, but in reality you're just minutes from the Kasilof river and boat launch, 15 minutes from Soldotna and the famous Kenai river and about 65 miles north of Homer Alaska for some unforgetable saltwater charters. We're not far from the Cook Inlet for some beach walking or clamming when the tide is low. Our local store/restaurant, gas station and post office are close by too.
Our cabin is fully furnished and equipped to accommodated 4 guests comfortably, our sofa does turn into a pull-out bed for 1 or 2 more guests. You can relax on the spacious covered deck, watch moose wander through and eagles flying over head while you listen to Coal Creek rushing by. Gas grill and chest freezer are also avaliable for our guests to use.
Also available are saltwater fishing charters leaving from Homer Alaska.

The location of this cabin is a huge draw. Its close enough to neighboring cities and Homer. The creek behind the cabin is amazing. What a great way to relax - listening to the flow of the creek! The cabin had plenty of space and amenities. What an awesome place to vacation!!
“This was the perfect setting for our alaska trip”
We celebrated my brothers 50th with a fishing trip to alaska. The accommodations were perfect. It comfortably accommodated 5 of us (with a couch). The home was conveniently located near Kenai and Soldotna and it was a short drive to Homer for a day of fishing. Nancy was so hospitable and the accommodations had the staple items we needed to cook up our catch of the day. We were able to hang out and catch up with old friends under 1 roof when the weather turned bad on us for half the day. There were board games (provided), TV/cable and popped in a DVD to watch a movie as we waited for the weather to clear. I am looking forward to returning with my wife and kids for some family time with a beautiful wilderness backdrop. If your are considering making the trip, make sure you fit in a day of fishing with Mike (Mann's Charters) for a day of fishing with a "world class" guide! In retrospect I wish I would have known about these accommodations when I brought my dad up last year for a father/son trip. Whatever the occasion this peaceful backdrop and friendly folks are sure to please.
Response from the owner Thanks so much for the kind words. I hope you do bring your family back to stay with us...you're always welcome!
“It was the experience of a lifetime.”
Mike & Nancy, Thank you for the experience of a lifetime. Everything was wonderful. The cabin was great. We enjoyed our stay there. I will be back.
Response from the owner Thanks Doit, You guys were great and I know Mike had a blast with all of you out fishing. I hope you all come back again sometime. Mike & Nancy
“Great alaskan experience!”
A great place to enjoy the real alaska. The cabin is beautiful and spacious and the deck is wonderful to sit out and moose watch. As soon as you meet Nancy, you feel right at home. She was terrific about answering any questions we had about the area and suggestions of great things to do. Although the cabin is situated in a great wilderness setting where you feel all alone, it has all the modern conveniences and you are a few minutes from a grocery store and fishing on the Kasilof River. If you are interested in halibut fishing in Homer, Nancy will schedule you with Mike, her husband, who I found to be the best halibut guide I ever fished with. He knows where the fish are and he will do his best to get you your limit along with having a fun time on his seaworthy boat. The cabin, the fishing and Mike and Nancy made my alaska vacation truly memorable!
Response from the owner Suzie, I'm glad you enjoyed the cabin. We've tried hard to make sure it is welcoming and comfortable for our guests. We welcome you back anytime, It was a pleasure visiting with you and helping you figure out some AK adventures while you were in our wonderful state. I feel as though I've made a new friend. “Getaway in the alaskan wilderness”
I have stayed at this cabin a couple of times and it is perfect if you're looking for peace and quiet along with a great wildlife experience. I saw moose almost every day while checking out the awesome view. The cabin was very clean and Nancy went out of her way to make my stay comfortable. Grocery stores are just 20 min. away where I could pick up items and prepare meals in the fully stocked kitchen or on the outdoor grill which sits on the awesome deck. There is also a freezer which came in handy to store my fish. I would highly recommend staying here and I will definitely return!
Response from the owner Thanks so much for the kind words Sue, it was a pleasure having you stay with us. I'm so glad you enjoyed the cabin. It would be our pleasure to have you back. Keep in touch, Mike ans Nancy Manns
“Off the beaten path but close to everything.”
We were fortunate to find Mike and Nancy while searching for a halibut charter in Homer. The bonus was the cabin in Kasilof within a couple minutes of the Sterling Hwy. and 5 minutes from fishing the Kasilof and a local processor for our fish. If you want to fish in Homer I would strongly suggest the arctic addiction with Mike. He is a hard working, intelligent and prudent Mariner who knows what he's doing. As a former charter operator in Homer I can attest to his skills as a fisherman and gentleman. Nancy is gracious to a fault and makes you feel right at home. The cabin is spacious with everything you need. Except bug spray. Don't forget it. Grill you catch on the barbecue on the deck and kick back because it's as quiet as you want it to be. Mike and Nancy truly know what alaskan hospitality is all about and will have our business for as long as we go there.
Response from the owner Thanks Vic, I look forward to seeing you again this summer. Having return guest both in the cabin and on the boat is the best compliment we could ever get! I will make sure and get some bug spray for the cabin. Last years Mosquitos were the worst I've seen it in a long time!! Take care and see you this summer! Nancy & Mike
“Awesome rental and owners”
We had the pleasure of staying in Mike and Nancy's Kasilof cabin with our family (7 adults & 2 babies). This cabin more than met our needs and has an excellent back porch view. We set the back porch each night we were there just enjoying the solitude and beauty. The cabin has everything you need to just stay put and enjoy yourself. A full kitchen and a bathroom that is bigger than my own at home! Mike and Nancy were a pleasure to deal with and made sure we had all that we needed to enjoy our stay. We would give them 10 stars if possible!
Response from the owner Susan, Thanks so much, it's always nice to hear that folks enjoy the cabin as much as we do. It is so nice and peaceful. Hope to have you and your family back again some day. Take care, Nancy & Mike Manns
“Marvelous cabin and fishing - Nancy and Mike are awesome!”
Perfect!!! The cabin is really comfortable, peaceful and a great place for our stay in alaska. Everything we needed was there-fishing was great which we cooked some of it in the kitchen of the cabin. Both Nancy and Mike were very kind, considerate and helpful. Nancy - thank you for your help with my rock collection. Jacob loves the smiley face one!!! We all enjoyed our stay, and can hardly wait to return!!!

“Wonderful Kasilof Cabin!”
Nancy, you remembered everything! Beautiful Cabin with a great location. Excellent back porch. Coffee maker, Coffee filters, sugar and coffee! Great Kitchen. Hot Shower. Amazing Toyo Heater. We love your Cabin! You told us to call you if we needed anything. Very clean and comfortable. We didn't need to call you! You even had an outside freezer. We would recommend your cabin to anyone! Thank you!

“Remote but close to town. Wonderful cabin”
We all had a wonderful time during our stay and Nancy was very friendly and helpful. The cabin was wonderful and very roomy. Great to be able to grll outdoors while relaxing to the sounds of Coal Creek. Saw mama and baby moose grazing around the entire stay. Only 2 minutes from the fantastic property we bought from Matt Letzing so very convenient location and only 15 minutes to Soldotna. Thanks for the hospitality.
