“Best value on Maui”

Reviewed 21 Jul 2014

I have stayed on Maui over 50 times and at the cottage on Keonekai 5 times.. It simply can't be beat for value, convenience and cleanliness.. 5 minute walk from one of the nicest beaches on Maui .. Clean warm water , and a nice shaded park for those hot breezy afternoons.. The unit is fully equipped .. Towels beach chairs umbrella etc etc and the unit is the same.. All kitchen utensils, barbecue, wifi .. Too many to list.. If you want a nice , quiet place close to the beach and restaurants you can't go wrong.. Highly recommend it..

“Very comfortable, outstanding value!”

Reviewed 22 Mar 2013

Our fourth stay on Maui, and by far the best accommodations we've ever had, at any price. The Ohana was super clean, super well equipped, super comfortable, and, well, just plain super all around. The modern kitchen is tastefully decorated and very well equipped with utensils and appliances. If you like to cook, this is the place. The back yard is quite private, surrounded by dense foliage. It also has has a gas barbecue, and a small table and chairs. It just doesn't get any better than this! By the way, I had a serious health problem the day we arrived, and Steve insisted on driving me all the way across the island to the hospital. This was way beyond "service". With that kind of caring, he is definitely a Super Hero! Summary: An outstanding place to stay, at a very reasonable price.

“Convenient, close to everything, a nice home-away-from-home”

Reviewed 20 Aug 2012

We really enjoy staying at this cottage. It had everything we needed - beach towels, boogie boards, cooler, beach mat, full kitchen with condiments. It's just a walk (or very short drive) to the nicest beaches in Kihei; a short drive to Kahului; and is in a nice, quiet, private residential area. Being able to park right outside the cottage, as compared to our friends staying in condos, was a real plus. Highly recommended!

“Comfy in Kihei!”

Reviewed 14 Jun 2012

We very much enjoyed our stay at this condo in Kihei. Location is great and the unit was clean and had everything we needed. Good dishwasher, laundry in the unit, beach items, etc. The bed was comfy but we didn't try the pullout couch so can't comment on that. Lots of great restaurants nearby and nice beaches right across the street, yet the area is low-key. The only drawback to the place was its proximity to a Denny's and motorcycle store which led to some noise pollution late at night, but it certainly didn't ruin our stay. Overall this place was a great value and a very comfy place to stay.

Response from the owner Mahalo for the candid review :) Only note that we would like to make is that this review was posted to the wrong property. The Keonekai Ohana is not across the street from the beach and is no where near Denny's. This cottage is about as quiet as it gets, really. This review was most likely targeted at our 1 bedroom, 1 bath Kihei Kai Nani condo which is directly across the street from Kama'ole Beach Park II with a partial ocean view and next to the Kama'ole Shopping Center which has our Kihei Denny's. No worries, it's all good !

“Location location location”

If you are wanting a private residence for your stay , not hotel or condo living , on this side of the island , you can't do better than this , for price or service . The owners are extremely helpful for anything or info you may need .

“We love it.”

Reviewed 12 May 2011

This was our second stay with the Biskis family and we will continue to return. The place is well outfitted and the location is perfect for those that want to have good walking access to beaches, restaurants, and the bus stop. After moving in you won't need a car. The place would not be for everyone since it's small and in a tight neighborhood and attached to the owners house. But we love it.

“Hands down the best place to stay in Maui”

Reviewed 4 May 2011

We have stayed in this Ohana twice, and it is booked for a third time over Christmas 2011. The Ohana was our home away from home. The privacy was wonderful (no condo noise); exclusive use of a BBQ; beach toys and beach amenities provided (chairs/umberellas/mats/boogie boards/coolers/etc) just to name a few. The location is perfect - quiet and secluded, yet close enough to the beach and stores and restaurants. It is a leisurely 5 - 10 minutes stroll to the beach and/or stores and restuarants. The Ohana is close enough to the excitement, yet far away enough to get away from it all! The Biskis' provides everything that one could want/need while on a vacation. And since they live right there and are very approachable, they only need to be asked for anything that is "missing". We have highly recommend this place to our friends and we will continue to do so. We keep coming back to Maui and we only stay at the Ohana now. Ralph, Marei, Victoria and Dennis Oppenlander
