“Vacation at Montego Bay Studio apt. 35a”

We surely did enjoy our stay at No 35a. Initially we had made arrangements for a stay of one week at No 35a in Montego Bay and one week at another Hotel in Kingston. After our first two days at No. 35a we did a reassessment of our stay in Ja taking into consideration the comfort of the apartment, which is ideally situated so that there is a panoramic view of the lovely hotel gardens, pleasure boats, jet ski and cruise ships traversing the sparkling blue waters of Doctor's Cave beach. There is also the view of fascinating architecture nestled in the mountains of Montego Bay. No. 35a is also strategically located in close proximity to several of Montego Bay's premium beaches, restaurants, shopping malls etc., We were on the hip strip, everything was within walking distance. As we are conscious of the environment we were able to turn off the a/C keeping the front and back doors opened inviting what nature offers from the atlantic. We were eager to inform the property manager Doreen of our intention to extend our stay for another week. We must mention our appreciation of Doreen's hospitality. Because of her knowledge on Jamaica she was able to provide tips so that we could have made informed decisions. Having rented a Motor Vehicle we were able to explore most of Jamaica using No. 35a as the base. It was a memorable experience. Cheers

“Wonderful Place”

I stayed at this apartment from aug 2-9th. It was a great experience. The apartment was perfect in so many ways. I never felt unsafe here for even a minute. It was so quiet and peaceful at night. I stayed in the room alone, and took advantage of the grilles on the door for extra security - even though I don't think I would have needed it. It was still nice, however, to have the grilles on the door so that I could lock it when I left for the day; it gave me a sence of security that my things were safe in the room. I even stayed away for two days while at aTI in Negril, and in the country with some friends. There were plenty of linens available for the entire week. The appliances all were in working order - with the exception on one eye on the stove. The beds were actually very comfortable! The air conditioner was wonderful! I kept the room nice and cool, which was a must in august in Jamaica. The location was amazing! Doreen arrived and showed me around the place, and once I discovered the bridge and how to get down to Bottom Road, the rest was history! I could walk right down to the beach on my own. It was great! It was so easy to get a taxi from both Top and Bottom road, which was very convenient. It was nice to have the little stores so close by as well. I once ran out of toilet paper, so it was nice to have somewhere so convenient to purchase some more. I went to the store often to stock up on water as well. Doreen was available whenever I needed her. I just called her, and she would assist in any way she could. She was great. I also had a problem using the internet at the El Greco reception area, and Mr. and Mrs. Hussey contacted me by phone right away to make sure I was doing OK and to make sure I had an internet connection. Having access to the El Greco pool and restaurants was certainly a plus as well. Just remember to tell them you are from the "Garden Studios" if they ask. I had a great time here, so I'm sure other guests will as well.

>comfortable, accessible, friendly, clean and tidy well Equiped. Utilities in working order, hot and cold water. Choice of air-conditioner or fan. Option to eat in our to go out to the many delicious Resturants in walking distance. fantastic views from the balcony. Lovely beaches around, Swimingpool on the grounds, nice lawns, safe for children. Affordale price I.E. Value for money.I liked to sit out on the balcony at nights with a cold beer and enjoy the scenery.

The apartment has a good location and nice views. We did not spend much time in the apartment but what we saw was adequate for the price. We are not used to locking up everything with burglar bars but that is the way it is in most parts of Jamaica. After seeing other parts of the country, we would not spend too much time in Montego Bay unless it was required. If we found ourselves in this position, we would rent this apartment again.

“Affordable With a Beautiful View”

This condo stay started out as a disaster with air condition problems the 1st 2 nights and hot. My plan was to move after the 3 paid days were up. However, as soon as Doreen McKenzie, the property manager, saw the problem, it was taken care of and the stay improved. Doreen was great at providing a blender and coffee pot and being responsive. The studio/condo is affordable, clean, simple, practical and conveniently located to the strip and the ocean. It worked for me but may not for those who want luxury, a queen or king size bed and are picky. The appliances were clean and in working condition. Better & more cookware, dishes and utensils would be nice and the ability to convert the twin beds to a King bed. Parking was available for the rental car. I enjoyed having coffee & breakfast on the balcony each morning and watching the beautiful ocean and greenery. Being on the 3rd floor wss great. I felt safe and comfortable with security at the entrance of the El Greco Resort development. The restaurant was OK but the view was awesome. I would rate this stay average for the 1st time. The rating would be higher if the aC had been working properly from the start and amenities were improved. I would definitely stay again. This is great for singles & couples with a low budget preferring to spend their money on entertainment and excursions instead of on expensive & luxurious resorts which I did the year before. Although it also has a sofa bed, it would be small for a family of more than 2. Enjoyed my stay.
