“An oasis of spacious comfort with easy and quick access to Paris”

Reviewed 12 Oct 2013

We stayed five nights in this spacious apartment in September 2013 and really enjoyed its comfort, amenities, location and personal attention. Phuong's sister, Lan, greeted us without delay upon our arrival and explained all the apartment's features. That she also lives next door was reassuring. A complimentary bottle of wine and of Perrier was also a nice touch. We also liked the washing machine, the free Wi-Fi and the free parking that came with the apartment. But most of all we liked its location in the center of Versailles, just a few minutes from a delicious bakery, supermarkets, restaurants, a thrice-weekly organic market, and virtually across the street from the Rive Droite RER train station, with its quick access to Paris. The palace of Versailles is a fifteen minute walk and on most days one can stroll in its famous gardens for free! This apartment was a most pleasant oasis after a day of very active sightseeing in Paris.

“Brilliant value within walking distance of Versailles palace!”

Reviewed 20 Aug 2013

My wife and I saw this rental apartment advertised on Tripadvisor and decided to rent it for 15 nights in July 2013. We paid 100 euros per night and could not have been happier.Everything was supplied within the apartment to ensure complete self containment and there is a supermarket, butchers, and bakery all within 5 minutes walk. We did not hire a car because there are 3 stations within 10 minutes walk, the bus passes the front door; and the palace of Versailles is only a 8-10 minutes walk. The owner of the apartment's sister lives next door and was a great help in the Organisation of our fast train travel tickets ETC. Overall I would most Definately Recomend this apartment to anybody considering a stay in Paris.

“Perfect!!”

Reviewed 19 Jul 2013

We were so lucky to have found Phuong & her wonderful apartment! We had no place to stay the day we left for Paris & it couldn't have worked out any better. Phoung not only met us at the train station but she already bought us tickets for our train. The location of her apartment is perfect, literally 2 blocks to the train & a short/easy ride into Paris. It is also walking distance to the beautiful castle in Versailles!! In my opinion I loved Versailles better than Paris, I felt safe & the town was so cute. Not to mention Phuong's sister lives next door so any questions or help we needed she was easily available! Thank you again Phuong, you made our stay wonderful :)

“Cozy apartment with convenient location in Versailles”

Reviewed 4 Jun 2013

My wife, my ten-year-old son, and I were all very happy during our one week stay at this rental. The check-in procedure was smooth and easy. In deed, the apartment's keeper was very helpful and friendly. This 60 square meters(about 620 square feet) apartment is roomy enough to keep the three of us very comfortable. The bedroom is neat and cozy, the bathroom is very clean, and the kitchen is tidy and well-equipped and we love to have the kitchen even though we only cooked 3 times during our stay. The free Wi-Fi kept my son happy and excited with his new iPad. Although we rent a car, we found that the location of this rental was so convenient for us: a walking distance to Chateau de Versailles, grocery and supper-market, restaurants, as well as bus and train stations. Last but not least, this apartment has a free parking garage which was a great benefit to us because in Versailles parking on the street is expensive (not free!). I highly recommend this rental to my friends, relatives, and to you.

“Well located appartement in Versailles”

Reviewed 1 Jun 2013

This particular appartement is very close to the Versailles Rive Droite terminus of the Gare Saint-Lazare to Versailles Rive Droite Sncf (express) train service between Paris and Versailles. On the the same avenue, you can walk to the purported best "boulangerie" (1 mn)of Versailles [very crip baguettes but nothing to praise in terms of taste], a very well stocked (but pricey) SuperU - grocery and general store (2 mn), and the Versailles market place further down (5 mn). In less than 7 minutes, you can get to the Monoprix (city centre). The apartment is pleaseant and well equipped for cooking and washing one's clothes. The apartement's keeper takes time to welcome guests and brief them. Please note that the Defense Commercial Centre can be reached in less than 15 mn, with the same train (you can do all your shopping there). Trains run every 15 minutes, in both directions. The only weak point resides in Versailles itself which is not linked to either CDG airport or Orly airport by direct public transportation, although the trip is feasable by a combination of means (a lengthy and tiring proposition). You better try to find a shuttle service.

“Journey in Versailles”

“Treasure in Versailles”

Reviewed 14 Nov 2011

We were initially sceptical about booking directly with the owners, but we could not have been more wrong. The apartment was situated in the heart of the town, only a few hundred metres from the direct rail link to central Paris, and easy to find, so long as you have the map the correct way up! Secure car parking was in the basement and the owner's parents were waiting for us on our arrival, keen to help and make sure we had a pleasant stay. There was an excellent bakery up the road and so fresh bread for breakfast and a local supermarket in the other direction for coffee to go with the croissants. The apartment was well furnished with good size rooms, clean and an extra bed was available to accommodate all three of us. A short walk away was an outdoor market, and then beyond that you come to the entrance to the Chateau. The queues were as long as we had been warned about, and it didn't help that after one hour in one we found that to go to the gardens and Trianon you get the tickets at the gates. However the gardens were spectacular and on our return the next day we missed out the queues totally by booking up a guided trip for a couple of euros extra. With this, not only did you go to parts not normally on view but after ninety minutes you were then free to carry on with the rest of the tour without going back to the queue. As the chateau was shut one day we drove a few kilometres to Ruell-Malmaison via a pleasant back road and visited the chateau of Joesephine, stopping off at the shopping centre at Parly2. Each evening we found a local restaurant in Versailles to walk to, and would recommend Chez Lazare on Rue Sartoy. It was a relaxing, evocative few days, with blue skies and autumnal colours, just as France should be at this time of year.

“Extraordinary attention”

Reviewed 7 Oct 2011

Do you really like to be treated as part of a family and be near major highlights in Versailles and Paris? This is the place to be. From a couple of cider bottles as a welcome to an always smilling and friendly attitude of Mr. and Mrs. Tran, the owners of the comfortable department, I would definitively choose this place for my next stay in Versailles.

“My Stay in Versailles at 57 Rue Marechal Foch”

Reviewed 25 Apr 2011

Last year, I traveled to France twice. Each time I stay at 57 Rue Marechal Foch for 3 to 4 weeks. The experience is very positive. The apartment is very clean. It has free Wi-fi internet. The place is close to supermarket where I can easily obtain food and daily necessities. The landlord' relative lives on the same level and was always ready to help. Actually we became friends. I probably will go back to Versailles some time in the near future and certainly will stay in the same apartment.
