“Gorgeous apartment and great location”

Reviewed 2 Jul 2015

The apartment is gorgeous. It's in a great location right next to the lake. It has plenty of space and the decor is quirky and really makes you feel at home. Pia, the owner, is fabulous! She made us feel very welcomed and recommended lots of places to go. The apartment has a gorgeous features such as a grand piano, fireplace and a balcony in on the bedrooms. The other apartments are quiet and everyone was really friendly. I would recommend this place for anyone wanting a great, central location on a smaller budget. We didn't pay over the odds for the apartment and it truly is great value for money. When I go to Copenhagen again I will no doubt book this again. Thanks Pia!

“Home from Home”

Reviewed 21 Apr 2014

The owner of the apartment, Pia, gave us a most friendly welcome. She explained everything we needed to know, and gave us some very helpful tips to make our stay more enjoyable. The apartment is huge compared to many we've stayed at - the main sitting room is lovely and bright, with a triple aspect view over the lake. Double glazing ensured a minimum of noise from outside, and the temparature was lovely and cosy. The kitchen is well stocked with all the facilities you'd need for self-catering. The balcony from the rear bedroom overlooks a courtyard, and is ideal for evening drinks or an al fresco breakfast. The appartment is on the third floor with no lift, so is unsuitable for disabled people or those with mobility problems. A nearby convenience store was useful for buying basic supplies, with a couple of larger supermarkets about 10 minutes' walk away just by Norreport Station, so you might want to take the nearby number 14 bus if you want to do a largish shop at those stores. The Netto supermarket offers slightly less variety than its neighbouring Irma store (which is quite posh). Most of Copenhagen's attractions are within walking distance if you're not in a hurry - otherwise you might want to take the bus. We found the bus routes rather confusing (the generic bus map is rather arcane) but we eventually got the hang of their idiosyncrasies! Highly recommended are the Tivoli Gardens, the canal trips, the Glyptotek museum (especially its Palm Court style restaurant), the 'Marble Church', the Botanical Gardens (very close to the appartment), the Stroget shopping street, and the Church of Our Saviours with its amazing external spiral staircase up the spire. And don't forget to take a train ride across The Bridge to Malmo. What we liked least? Occasionally long waits at bus stops and train stations! What we liked most? They say the Danes are the happiest nation in Europe, and we couldn't agree more - we met happy, friendly people everywhere we went.

“Amazing view, all we needed was into it”

Amazing apartment, amazing view. Near (about 15 minutes on foot) a lot of Copenaghen's hot spots. We loved the furniture and the piano. We absolutely recommend this apartment, we enjoyed our stay.

“Indivudual, beautiful and comfortable”

Reviewed 29 Jul 2013

This beautiful flat ist the perfect place to return after a day out in copenhagen. The view to the sea at night is amazing, the balcony relaxing and the whole interieur and atmosphere made us feel home and welcome. We really missed nothing and enjoyed our way into town through the botanical garden.

“Dejlig!”

Reviewed 22 Jul 2013

Our family received a very warm welcome when we arrived at this really lovely and spacious apartment, it felt like home right away. The location was excellent (for example Statens museum of Kunst & Rosenborgs slott & Botanical garden are all just a walking distance away), the view beautiful and it was really easy to move around the city either walking or by bus/train/metro. The days we spent in the sunny Copenhagen were just superb, thanks to our "home base" in Öster Sögade.

“An adequate choice in a good location in central Copenhagen”

Reviewed 24 Jul 2012

This apartment is well situated and is very bright. The pluses are the views over the lakes and it's location. The minuses include the bathroom which was always getting wet from leaking after showers or baths. Also the owner who is extremely nice should be encouraged to clear a bit of room in the cupboards in the bedrooms so that guests can unpack a bit. For us this was impossible. The apartment should only be considered for 4 people as in our case our 16 year old son had to sleep on a couch in the living room as the extra mattress supplied was not very comfortable. It would be appreciated if some soap was left in the bathrooms. The quality of the beds is just ok.

Response from the manager Comments from the owner: For your information, please notice, that there are no problems what so ever with the bath. Problems might have occurred from not switching the watersupply totally from shower to bath or vice versa? Regarding the sleeping arrangement please read the homepage in details. The living room offers a double sleeping couch for guests no 5 and 6. The single mattress on the floor is an extra offer for people wanting to sleep in another room, and is not even mentioned on the homepage as an option. Best regards.
