“The place to be”

Reviewed 3 Jun 2013

Lanciano is a fantastic place in Italy. We were lucky enough to be there for 5 weeks and hope to be able to return. The accommodation was perfect. We stayed with our 2 small children (4 and 5 years old) and wanted for nothing. The location was ideal, a nice and quiet area within 5 mins walk of the main piazza, shops and restaurants and a bit longer to the athena language school (if you're keen on learning the lingo this is definitely the place to go!). Tina was the perfect host helping us with anything that we needed. Thanks greatly Tina, you and your accommodation made our stay in Lanciano a fantastic family holiday, ci vediamo!

Response from the owner Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review and I am thrilled that you enjoyed your stay so much. Hope that you are enjoying the next part of your adventure and please keep in touch as I would love to hear how you are getting along. Hope to see you again before you head back to NZ.

“Amazing Italian Experience”

Reviewed 17 Apr 2013

This apartment had everything we needed. It's situated right in the heart of the old Lanciano and was walking distance to town. What an amazing holiday. Thank you so much to Tina for her hospitality. We would love to visit again soon.

Response from the owner Thanks for taking the time to write a review Julie, it was a pleasure to have you stay at the house and I hope to see you again when you are back visiting your relatives here in beautiful Abruzzo.

“Feel like a local, but with all the mod cons.”

Reviewed 12 Dec 2012

The location was ideal - so close to everything. The home is beautifully modernised with everything you might need. Tina could not have been more helpful - going way beyond what was necessary - to assist with onward bookings, transport etc. I liked best the feeling that I belonged in abruzzo - seeing the same people around us, right in the heart of things. I liked least the number of times I went up and down stairs between my bedroom and the bathroom - but it probably helped to counter the delicious restaurant meals!!!

Response from the owner Denise, thank you so much for taking the time to write a review. I really enjoyed meeting you and spending some time with you on the day trip I took you on around the area. I am so proud of Abruzzo and more than happy to 'show it off' to guests. Hope to see you again one day if you return to Lanciano. Warmest regards Tina

“Lanciano - a true italian town!”

Reviewed 12 Nov 2012

We had the pleasure of staying in the picturesque town of Lanciano in October 2012. 3 weeks of immersing ourselves into the spectacular Provincia di Chieti, Pescara, Teramo and L'Aquila.. The house is very well appointed and very clean on arrival..it offers two great double rooms (one with a beautiful vaulted ceiling that is fantastic to sleep in) and a terrace right up top. This house is well suited for those who are able and can handle stairs. The house is in the centre of the Centro Storico with its amazing old structures it is a beautiful walk from the house through the Centro Storico into the Piazza. Lanciano offers a vibrant Piazza and Corso and as a centre it is well equipped with all services. Tina as a host was fantastic, she made the booking process very easy, the payment very easy, and offered in the house a large dossier of things to do and restaurants to visit etc...It was a pleasure to meet Tina and I am sure that over the years we will visit again. Lanciano offers a wonderful view of Meridionale Italy and it is comforting to see that the culture is still alive and well in the old and youth alike.

Response from the owner Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review about your stay with us and especially for your kind words about my abilities as a hostess. Also a very big thank you to you for leaving the house so clean and tidy and for your advice about the wifi system that I shall be purchasing to put into both my holiday rentals for 2013. We hope to see you again when you are back here in Italia and maybe get chance to go for that Aperitivio!

“A great holiday in a great house in a great location!”

Reviewed 24 Sep 2012

I stayed in Lanciano from 1st - 13th September 2012, a great house in a very convenient location for all the activities that Lanciano has to offer. Certainly when I was there, the town was very vibrant with Festas and activities taking place in the Piazza Plebiscito, so always something to see and do or you can simply watch the world go by in the local and popular Cafe ai Portici. The house location is a short walk away from the main square but you are not at all disturbed by the vibrancy that the town has to offer. I enjoyed many a restful night so no worries in that respect. I travelled to Lanciano on my own and at no time did I feel uncomfortable or hassled, in fact the locals were very welcoming, charming and helpful. The house location is a great base for exploring the local area, and of course the convenience for the coast, so best of both worlds. I enjoyed great food and wine, a welcoming host and the ease of booking and checking in all assisted in a relaxed and enjoyable stay. I will certainly return to abruzzo and Lanciano.

Response from the owner Thanks for taking the time to write a review Debbie and I am so pleased that you had a great time. September really is a great month to visit as there is so much to see and do and the beaches are less crowded than in August. Look forward to seeing you again in the future and we will visit some more vineyards next time.

“Lovely home with a lovely host.”

Reviewed 4 Sep 2012

My family and I just spent another holiday in Lanciano at this cute, well appointed holiday home. It is on a quiet street in the historic area of Lanciano, within easy reach of the main square, shops, bars and restaurants. Tina is a super hostess and, though she lives off site, is easily reachable if needed. She loves the area and has loads of tips about places to see, good places for a meal and where to buy wine, etc. I highly recommend a stay in this wonderful holiday home.

Response from the owner Thanks Deena, it was lovely to see you all again and to spend some time with you tasting wine. We have found another great cantina for you to try out the next time you visit.

“This townhouse in the heart of medieval Lanciano is a quiet hav”

Reviewed 22 Aug 2012

This is a lovely home, very well cared for and providing everything you need for your stay. It's location is superb, tucked away in a narrow medieval street - surprisingly very quiet.Tina is meticulous in making sure that everything is right for you. She will welcome you on arrival and come to see you before you depart.Don't forget that you will need to have the cash to pay your balance on arrival We forgot that and had to find a bank as soon as we got there. It wasn't however, a problem. If you like to stay in a place where there are no other tourists apart from Italians, this is the place for you. The food in the local restaurants is top quality. The town as a whole was quieter than I had expected. You will need a car to tour around and visit the many ancient towns and villages around. We found the beaches nearby too hot and crowded for our taste but we are not sunbathing types and it was august!

Response from the owner Thank you Penny for taking the time to post a review. As you say the town was quiet but that was because everyone was at the beach! We are happy that you had a lovely holiday and hope to see you again one day.

“Fabulous rental property”

The townhouse in Lanciano met all our requirements for a holiday rental- clean, quiet, central location, well equipped and excellent value for money. Tina and Richard were on hand if any help or advice was needed, offering excellent information to help explore the town and experience the beautiful countryside. The local restaurants were fantastic, wonderful food, great atmosphere and excellent value for money. Without a doubt one of the most relaxing holiday destinations and wonderful hosts. Thanks again Tina and Richard.

Response from the owner Thank you for such a wonderful review Sarah, we are really happy that you had such a great holiday. Hope to see you all again some time.

“Townhouse in Lanciano”

Reviewed 6 Jul 2012

We stayed in the property for 1 week in June---we loved it! The location was perfect--not only for exploring the town of Lanciano but also for discovering the region. We loved the completely renovated facilities, very comfortable beds and the balcony for evening wine before dinner! Would definitely recommend the property and would stay there again!

“Best way to see Lanciano”

Reviewed 14 Jun 2012

We were in this beautiful home in the historic centre of Lanciano in early June 2012. Great spot for getting around on foot to explore the town. The property is clean, with plenty of light and windows, a fully equipped modern kitchen and comfortable beds. Great customer service from Tina who met us at the house. People with mobility issues might find stairs a challenge. Fabulous eateries very close. Tina made the experience easy for us from the booking right through to departure. This is our second time in three years staying here and we would recommend highly to anyone visiting Lanciano.

Response from the owner Thank you for taking the time to leave a review Elena, it was great to see you all again and thanks for leaving the house so clean and tidy on departure. Hope to see you all again soon. Ciao Tina
