If you want a senic, panoramic view of the Tuscan hills and absolute quiet, this is the place to be. It's set on promontory on an olive grove. And the view is absolutley breathtaking. There are no internet access, telephone or air conditioning, which was just fine for us. Sometimes it's nice to be unhooked from the rest of the world and enjoy God's creation. Laura, the owner, shared her family history of the grove and vineyard, how and when the farm house was built. Very interesting, and left us to imagine what life was like so many years ago. One has to have a car (and a GPS) to get around as this place is quite a distance from the closest town. Major cities like Florence was very accessible by train. Be mindful of the recycling laws and separating your trash. Laura, may I suggest you give explicit recycling instructions in your booklet of information as well as leaving some trash bags for your guests since everything has to be bagged. I also suggest providing a fan for every room for those hot nights. We love to eat outdoors, but the sun was still intense even at 7pm which made dining outside quite uncomfortable. An umbrella would have been nice. Maybe adding a pergola later on is an idea? Lastly, we suggest providing a list of restaurants. Otherwise, we had a wonderful and restful stay. Would definitely come back.

“An excellent week in a marvellous house!”

We are French (and apologize for the mistranslation). We choosed this property because it was well-placed to visit the Tuscany, and we didn't be disappointed! It is a spacious house with beautiful views on the countryside (olive trees, vineyards, the birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci...), ideal to visit Florence, Lucca, Pisa, San Gimignano... And great thank to Laura, the owner, who gave us a warm welcome!
