The best thing about this home is it's location on Bimini Bay. Beautiful pool and view out over the bay. The home is decorated in a happy motif, although the beds were deemed hard as boxes by a couple of our guests. Kitchen is sufficient for cooking basics, and has nice appliances. Overall a nice stay on a quiet, north end spot of the island.
“A week in Paradise”
We stayed at Mintfish over the Easter holidays, travelling there as three generations of family after a hectic week in Orlando. As villa holiday veterans, we'd high expectations from Mintfish and it didn't disappoint. It is, quite simply, one of the best rentals we've stayed in. The villa is extremely well appointed and very spacious, with a laid-back charm that typifies anna Maria. The views from Mintfish are stunning - we have great memories of the kids fishing from the dock and the grandparents relaxing and watching the world go by. As for the wildlife, we spotted manatee, rays, eagles and even a dolphin. We can't speak highly enough of Mintfish and anna Maria. As for suggested improvements? There are none, both are perfect!
“Perfect for 2-3 families.”
My father's 70th birthday was celebrated with a week at Mintfish. The house was perfect for the 3 couples with 3 kids. (9 in total) The beaches on both sides of the island are perfect for jogging or a stroll. A kayak from Beach Bums makes the canals and Bimini Bay accessible. Watching fishermen catch fish in the bay, a dolphin swim, locals catch (and release) small sharks from the beaches or piers; calming. A lovely place to calm down and celebrate. There were plenty of room for us, but some smaller chairs could be made available to seat all 9 of us around the dinner table.
“Wonderfully relaxing experience”
The service we received was first class all the way. The villa was presented to the highest standard and truly felt like a home from home: every possibility was catered for. From the minute you walk in the door you know you are in for a treat. The kitchen area makes for a truly involved eating experience should you have the full quota of guests. Everything about this villa is luxurious and stunning. The views from dock side or the full length lounge dining area mean that whatever the weather, the view across Bimimi Bay never dissapoints. The only decisions that have to be made are do you sit on the dock and watch the dolhpins, do you relax in the pool and watch the dolphins or do you go to the beach...that's as taxing as the holiday gets. There are plenty of local amenities and a morning or evening walk to the beach from this villa is a must do down one of the many avenues to take in the simplicity of the place. Don't expect anything other than peace, quiet, stunning views, amazing wildlife (photography opportunities are abound), friendly people and good food: that's aMI in a nutshell. Make sure you visit the Rod N Reel pier for a sea food delight, Ginny and Janes (a coffee/gift shop)offer an ecclectic mix of vintage gifts - and yummy cakes! We went off season so most of the restaurants were closed however the accessibility of the local supermarkets means that you can obtain good produce at very good prices and cook it yourself on the the BBQ (provided) whilst keeping an eye out for the dolphins passing by your dock. Our visit was made extra special as we got married during our stay and have already booked our stay next year to celebrate our first anniversary. It's a place you will very much want to return to again and again whether it's for a vacation or (if you're truly bitten by aMI - let's face it - who wouldn't be)to purchase some real estate for yourself!
Response from the owner Congratulations on your wedding, and we are delighted that you experienced and enjoyed Anna Maria Island so much. We very much look forward to seeing you again next year! Warm regards
After a frantic 6 days 'doing Disney' Mintfish was just what our family needed to just lounge, relax in a beautiful setting. The house was all it was said to be and more and the area provides for either total relaxation or the opportunity to be active. Just a couple of small niggles 'who cleans the barbie' needs to be sorted - it was very dirty and also the previous tenants' rubbish sat out front the length of our stay.
“heaven near saltwater”
The occasion for our stay was our daughter's wedding held at another property (Limefish). It was relaxing and insulating away from the craziness, truly a magnificent setting. We want to come back soon. I slept well despite wedding uproar. My favorite memory is waking in the morning to see the 88-year old grandfather of the bride sitting on a chaise and gazing out at the bay...two things to change...both having to do with the entrance: 1) front door needs cleaning and refinishing and 2) the loose stone entry way is a liability just waiting to happen...
Response from the owner Thank you so much for your feedback. We are delighted you loved Mintfish, and yes, the chaise is definitely the best seat in the house! We will certainly be taking a look at the door you mention, and thank you for your feedback regarding the loose stones at the entrance. Again, we will look at this potential issue. Thank you so much for choosing to stay with us, and we hope that we see you and your family again soon!
“Wonderful Thanksgiving with Family!”
The MintFish was amazing!! Our family can't wait to do it again - perfect place for a Thanksgiving gathering!!!
“Our relaxing stay at Mintfish”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mintfish! The house is beautifully decorated, extremely clean, and there was enough room for 9 of us to spread out truly relax. The pool and view are incredible, and we enjoyed fishing off the back deck and looking for dolfins. Unfortunately, it rained for the majority of the week we visited, but the house provided a wonderul, cozy place for us to play cards and games, etc. Overall we truly had a fabulous time. Thank you, Sato!! We will be calling again for a future vacation!
“Stunning bayside house on anna Maria Island”
Mintfish is a truly stunning house in an amazing location on the corner of the bay. The house is deceptively big, each room more than ample in size and gorgeously furnished in a modern and fun style. The Bimini Bay view is wonderful and peaceful, with all manner of wildlife on display, including pelicans, manatee, herons and egrets. The private natural stone pool is great for relaxing in. Mintfish is just a short stroll to the local stores, island pier and great restaurants are not far away. Would highly recommend a relaxing visit to this amazing holiday home.
