“Home Sweet Home”

Reviewed 20 Jul 2015

Very nicely arranged to meet your expectIons and then some. We used the crockpot to cook some pork and the oven to bake cornbread. There was plenty of ice, snacks, dishes, and cookware. The beds were comfortable and the towels were luxurious. There is air conditioning and ceiling fans, but after the sun goes down you only need to open the windows to catch a nice evening breeze and with the quiet countryside, you will soon be asleep. Gary and Ricky are very helpful and fun to visit with and we felt very safe and comfortable. Our best experience ever.

“Great place to stay and convenient to park.....”

Reviewed 14 Jun 2015

My wife and I were completely satisfied with the accommodations at Juniper Crest. Gary was extremely helpful in giving advice on visiting the area and making suggestions on where to eat and routes to take. The rental was perfectly clean and very comfortable. Everything was in good repair. The shower was a bit small but not really a problem. We've already recommended this place to others since our stay and would certainly go back if traveling out west again. Peaceful and quiet location!

“Great place to stay - very relaxing ...”

Reviewed 2 Sep 2014

Owners were terrific and provided all the information required to assist with ensuring we had a fantastic time in Yosemite. The accommodation is 30 minutes drive from the main Yosemite park entrance but it's worth the travel. We visited the park during the day and the apartment was great to come back to for a relaxing evening. Owners offered BBQ facilities and an area to eat outside. Highly recommend this as a relaxing place to stay while visiting Yosemite.

“Relaxing retreat outside of Yosemite”

Reviewed 8 Aug 2014

My husband, 2-year old daughter, and I recently stayed at Juniper Crest and absolutely loved it. It was immaculate, well-stocked, and cozy. The owners did everything to make us feel at home and even provided a highchair and pack-n-play in case we needed it. Please be aware, however, if you are traveling with a baby - no diapers in the pool. Little swimmers were fine, and our daughter loved being a little water bug after a long day hiking, The Franciscos were respectful of our privacy but readily available if we had any questions. There happened to be a forest fire in Yosemite during our stay, and Gary was very helpful in keeping us up to date on what roads were closed and the best ways to reach the sites we wanted to see. If we are lucky enough to visit Yosemite again, we will definitely be staying here!

“Tranquil, spectacular night sky, super hospitality”

Reviewed 23 Jul 2014

Gary and Rickey provided exceptional hospitality! We arrived a little late, but Gary took time to get me oriented so I could plan my day in Yosemite. The pool was set up for us, the grill was ready, and we used the chairs on the deck to enjoy the spectacular night sky. Everything we needed within the property was spotless, in working order, and comfortable. I traveled with my wife, 2 teenagers, and 10yr old. All loved the property and the location. If you are concerned about distance to the Yosemite entrance, don't be. Provided you leave before the crowds arrive, the ride in along the Merced river enhances the trip! It is beautiful, took about 45 minutes, is a twisty road but manageable even for a flatlander like me. As for Yosemite itself, it is a reminder that our country is America the Beautiful!

“Wonderful stay, surpassed all expectations.”

Reviewed 19 Oct 2013

We stayed with Gary and Rickey for 5 nights as part of our honeymoon. After reading all the positive reviews we were expecting something good, but our experience really did exceed our expectations. Gary is so knowledgable about Yosemite and the surrounding area, he really helped make our trip special by suggesting some great places to visit. The apartment itself is comfy and has all the amenities you would need. Comfy bed and a nice big shower help you relax after a days hiking. We didn't use the pool while we were there but it looked lovely. The area around the apartment is full of wildlife. We saw so many birds and even some deer passing through one evening. What more could you want! We are already talking about our next trip to Juniper Crest.

“Yosemite's True Gems!”

Reviewed 5 Sep 2013

We stayed here in mid June 2013 as part of a 2 week San Francisco/ Marin County Vacation. This was going to be the scenic part of the trip, but the highlight was to be the Bay area. I could not have been more wrong. Yosemite was splendid and the Francisco's were lovely! I was traveling with my husband and 3 children under 10! As hectic as that is, they anticipated every need this Florida family had. From fresh fruits and snacks, to much needed hiking sticks and a locals priceless advice, I cannot imagine a more wonderful host and hostess. They had the pool and grill ready for us everyday when we returned, as well as a wonderful conversation about local history and beyond. As we left, my husband and I were sad, as we felt like we were leaving family. Yosemite has a true advocate and steward in the Francisco's! ?

“A fabulous stay in Mariposa”

Reviewed 18 Jul 2013

During our honeymoon in June we spent 3 nights at this lovely location. The appartment is located in a quiet area just a few miles from Mariposa. The appartment is well equipped and everything is available to cook a nice meal. Airco is available in the spacious sleeping room and also in the dinner room (There is place for 2 more guests in bunk beds. For the two of us we had plenty of space and we could even use the outside pool (very nice after a long hike in Yosemite). Pricing is very good compared to other properties in the area. The owners Gary and Ricky are the most friendly people we encountered during our honeymoon and they gave a lot of restaurant recommendations. Both now a lot about Yosemite hikes and nature so we could avoid quite some tourist traps. The ride towards Yosemite valley parking lot is around 1 hour and is a very scenic but convenient route! For sure a recommendation in case you are looking for a nice place around Yosemite

“Terrific accomodation”

A wonderful place to stay and visit Yosemite. The accomodations and the hosts were excellent and very friendly. We will definitely be back. It was a nice place to return to and relax at the end of the day.
