We tailor our rental rate to the number of guests per stay, so you don’t have to pay more than necessary for your stay. Our budget friendly base rate is for two guests. An additional guest fee applies to more than two guests: extra guests at $30 each per night; kids under age four. are free. If additional guest fees apply, they will be added to your quote.

Yosemite JuniperCrest is a peaceful, beautiful five acre forested mountain home property. The guest apartment is attached to the owners' residence, at the 2,500 foot elevation in the heart of the Sierra foothills Motherlode country. We are conveniently located in Midpines, between the historic Gold Rush town of Mariposa (10 miles away) and the west entrance to Yosemite National Park (25 miles away). Our location is easy to access, just off all weather highway CA 140, the most direct route into Yosemite Valley, and only five miles from the Wild and Scenic Merced River on the way to Yosemite.

The guest apartment is perfect for two, but will accommodate a family of 5, with a queen size bed in one room and two bunk beds and a day bed in the other. There is an air conditioner in each sleeping area. The apartment has a private entrance, a completely equipped kitchenette, private bath, towels, bed linens, satelite TV, and WiFi. An outdoor slate covered lounging area and large covered patio equipped with a gas barbecue provide our guests an enjoyable outdoor dining and relaxation area. During summer months, guests are invited to cool off in our 16 foot above ground salt water pool with a view. Laundry facilities available on request. It is the only rental on the property to assure our guests privacy and relaxation, with plenty of room for kids to burn off their energy. We strive to provide our guests with maps, guide books and information needed to have an enjoyable Yosemite Experience.

Getting around

We are about 1/2 mile from the Yosemite Area Regional Transportation Service bus stop on Highway 140. YARTS buses travel to and from Yosemite on a regular schedule. There is parking available at the bus stop. Once in Yosemite, visitors can use a free Park Service shuttle to move around Yosemite Valley and other destinations in the Park. Fresno Yosemite international Airport (FAT)is the closest major commercial airport, about 80 miles away. Amtrak in Merced, CA. is the closest passenger rail service, about 45 miles away.

Interaction with guest

The apartment is attached to our residence. We will be home to assist you with your check in. Our entrance sign and driveway have lights for arrival after dark. Normal check in is from 3 pm to 9 pm, but early check in or late arrival may be available upon advance request. We are usually available during our guests stay to provide guests with information about our area. But we provide our guests privacy as well.

How do damage deposits work?

If Gary (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
