We stayed at Periwinkle Cottage for 4 nights with our 2 kids. We arrived and the pictures were exactly as they seemed on the website. We love the location and quite street, we walked every evening to town for an early dinner, it was cold but beautiful. It was so nice to come home each day and enjoy the cottage, it was very homey and cosy. I loved the front porch and loved sitting there in the morning with my coffee rugged up. Genie was fantastic we had the opportunity to meet her when we arrived and she was there for us if we needed her for anything. I will never forget our time here and i will definitely like to come back. Many people from australia asked me where the cottage was and love all the photos i posted. I will make sure i come back again. Thank you very much!
We enjoyed our visit at the Periwinkle Cottage. It had everything we needed!! Genie was very helpful.
“Periwinkle is one week of heaven that lasts the whole year”
Periwinkle is a perfect fit for our family. Every room has its own ambiance. Our grandson loves the pool. We love walking in the neighborhood. And we enjoy having our own "Genie" to make sure the magic is in place every time we come to the Shaw.
This cottage was so peaceful and relaxing, an oasis within the already tranquil small town of Notl. It made so much difference to have this place at the heart of our family vacation, we highly recommend it for families of (as the cottage is ideally laid out for) up to five people.
“Our favourite Niagara on the Lake getaway”
Our family has spent time at Periwinkle Cottage during the summer months for the past four years and we have enjoyed the experience so much that we can't wait to return again this year. A stay at Periwinkle Cottage is a experience everyone should have, the home has all the amenities of home, the setting is serene complete with a inground pool and lovely gardens and is a short walk to the lake and close to the old town. The property manager Genie is amazing and makes you feel at home from the minute you arrive and if you need anything or have any questions she is only a phone call away.
“Everything We Expected”
The week began with a most friendly welcome from Genie Karrys abraham who explained all of the amenities of the property. The beauty of the place inside and out was just as advertised. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well-apponted. The living areas had much charm. My grandson Max enjoyed the pool so much we thought he'd turned into a tadpole. The neighborhood was quiet, well-located and quaint. The experience was superb.
“Fun and relaxing”
We really enjoyed staying at the Periwinkle Cottage. It was close to everything that we wanted to see incuding Niagara Falls. We all thouroughly enjoyed the pool and I think our kids would have been happy to have stayed in the pool for the whole trip! We would definitley consider coming back for another trip to the area.
We loved Periwinkle cottage. It was close enough to old oakville to bike or take a 20 minute walk. Old oakville is a village full of boutiques and stores, cobble stone walks, vintage hotels. Stunning. The cottage provided wonderul cooking supples, great utensils and appliances. The backyard was full of potted herbs and tomatoes, truly lovely. Wonderul to collect as we did fresh produce which is everywhere and grown to abundance along with a bottle of wine from the many wineries and go back to the cottage and cook up an amazing meal and eat pool side. Outdoor furniture was outside off the deck by the pool.. The pool was great and the kids loved it. As well Periwinkle is close to the water, very close to walk to and experience a day by the lake. We loved it and plan to go back. Tessa
“Wonderful Wonderful Wonderful”
A charming house, beautiful garden and pool. Felt at home the minute we walked through the door. A great welcome from Genie. The kitchen is equipped excellently with everything we needed and more. Quality of linens very good with a lovely 'cottage' feel throughout. The pool was fantastic and we enjoyed it every day. Hope to go back there again some day.
Very enjoyable week. The house was charming and the backyard was absolutely beautiful. We used the bikes that were provided (nice extra touch) to ride around town. The only discomfort was that the pool was not heated. But we used it anyway and had a lot of fun. Genie was fantastic. She worked with us to be there to let us in and to show us around and get us settled in.
